Title: WORLD-CONQUERING succession fort!!!

In a recent update DF added the ability to send your military on raids to other civs! (I don't know how recent, I haven't been keeping up)
After testing out this feature I had an idea:
Does anyone want to start a world-conquering succession fort, training up the military with the eventual goal of eliminating all other civs, leaving dwarves the dominant/only race remaining?
As far as I know (if i'm wrong please correct me) no one else has done this yet so I think I want to start my own.

Before I start the world, I think it should be decided how many civilizations there should be - how difficult we should make this for ourselves, essentially. I have put this to the poll, which will expire in 4 days. Please do vote!  ;D

You will need to wait to the next update because now your dwarfs try to stealth first but yes totally awesome.

This is definitely one of the things I was hoping for when I heard what the new version was going to bring, but unfortunately I won't be able to partake within any reasonable amount of time.

I would suggest a small World, with lots of history and max civs.

Or a bigger world with less civs.

But defenitely wait for the new realease which allows raiding.

I approve of this greatly. In order to make sure the plan for global conquest works, the fort must be optimized for military strength rather than wealth.

If we want to ensure our plan of world domination works, we will have to plan and organize the specific industries needed to support the soldiers.

So if we can lay out our tail now, we can maximize the ratio for the teeth.

Now knowing that non-stealthy raids will be possible in the next update, I think I’ll make the world and start the game by the time that update comes out, which will hopefully be soon.

Oooh, put me in Year 1. 

I'm thinking of the starting 7.
1 commander (me).

I would reserve 2 founders for infra structure: 
1 miner/builder. 
1 doctor. 

This can potentially leave 4 founders for year 2, 3, 4, 5 and can be military squad captains.

As for myself, I will not leave the fort but will serve as instructors to recruits. 
My current military testing suggests: Teacher+3, Fighter+2, Discipline+2, and +2 on something else is decent. 

However, Toady's latest note seems like Leadership, Organization, and Tactician skills will be factors for off-site combat, raids, etc.

As MCreeper suggested, I’ve waited until the minor bug fixes to begin the game! I have moved Sanctume down the list per his wishes, and now the first turn is Imic’s.

Ooh, I'm done with the other fort. 

So this is 44.07, but vanilla.  I'll google-fu and put on Pheobus tileset at least.

Where is the world save?

I want dfhack though so I can exportlegends all and use legends viewer.

So, we starting this, or was it temporarily considered redundant? Most of the current bugs are fixed and new features will appear in 1-3 month.

This is more of a "Raze the world into rubble"/"Force the age of the Dwarf" kind of succession run by my reckoning, since the ability to inter a administrator/puppet ruler isn't yet implemented but is on the near future roadmap for this villain arc.

I think one of the starting 7 should be a weapon/armorsmith, so that we can have plenty of armor and weapons for our soldiers.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but I have a 20 dwarf fort, with a volcano. It's rich in hematite and I already have a legendary armor smith and weapon smith. It would speed up the process if you guys went with it.

I'm a total noob at raising a military, so I would be interested to see what you guys could do with it.

Also has a breeding populaton of war lions.
