Welcome to another cycle on the Old Planet.

If you are just joining us, you do not need to know what came before. At the end of every session in this Gods Game there is an extinction event, and very little carries over.

To those returning, game play will be very different mechanically. For one, it will be turns one player at a time. Second, all creations will take the form of 'cards', and the relationships between them will be more explicit.

Manual

Spoiler: Terminology (click to show/hide)

Resources: Can fulfill needs for life or requirements to use a technology.

Life: Plants, Animals, or Beings. Can fullfil the needs of other life or requirements for technology.

Anomoly: A phenomenon that affects other cards.

Technology: Can grant a being a power to affect other cards, destroys resource cards if used repeatedly.

Charges: How long an anomaly will last. Can be recharged.

Threshold: Max population of a life form. Low helps it to spread. Cards that are satisfying the need of another are not counted.

Needs: Life can depend on a being, animal, plant, resource, or even anomoly. Does not destroy that card. A life card with less copies and more satisfied needs wins any tiebrakers.

Evolve: Reduce or increase a stat by 1, or changing 1 aspect of a diet. Change the name if the original lifeform still exists on the planet.

Manifestation: A form you take.

Each phase gods will receive several cards. Once all gods consecutively skip or cannot take further action, the next phase will begin. Cards not spent increase your turn order next phase.

Renewal Card:
You may create plants, animals, or resources. Animals must have satisfied needs.

Evolution Card:
You can modify plants and animals. Choose a card in a region(all copies are effected), then add or subtract a stat by 1, change 1 thing about its' diet, or similar type of change. The change must not conflict with the needs of other cards. Choose a new name for the offshoot.

Anomaly Card:
When you create an anomoly it has 4 charges. The more effects it has, the faster it drains. Powerful effects may need be broken down into smaller components. You can recharge 2 of an anomoly.

Your Titan can do 3 of these things, repeatedly if desired:
-Change appearance
-Uplift an animal to a being
-Double a pile of cards in a region(must be able to support it's needs if any, choose where extras above threshold migrate to)

You may play 3 tech cards. The recipient being learns from watching your Titan, and makes a story.

Tech: Give to a Being card. Briefly describe the technology. It must require atleast 1 resource.

Things will be experimental, and some choices will be in response to how early rounds unfold. My main concern is to keep things simple.

He was powerful once...Revered. Feared. But now it was all gone. The First Mold of the world had happened.Now it was time to start anew. He spread his grat wins and let a few scales fall into the sea. From that, nutrient and delicious algae were born, . They would fill the bellies of his children one day. Then he took one of the algae ad trasormed it into a giant sea snail. Docile and slow, this creature defended itself from predators using powerful toxins.  He then breathed onto the world and glowing green crystals spread all over the place. They would provide the beuty that this world stil lacked.

You'd choose which region of Apex P. to modify. All Grazers are already assigned. You could use another evolution to free up a grazer from another's diet.

Ok.

I evolve some of the fruit trees in the N. hemisphere to lack fruits, but for their leaves to hold a good deal of nutrition, and be interchangeable with grass in terms of feeding on them; these are called Frond Trees. Then, I cause some of the grazers in that area to be able to have a diet of two different plants, not specifying which ones; these are known as Giraffes. Carnivores and Apex Predators can treat them as being equivalent to grazers for the purposes of their diets.

You wanted to leave some of the original specimens? Can't do that. I actually just need to keep things simple and that's just an easy way I can keep things from having too much stuff in different regions, evolution cards just convert all of the ones that are there to the new species. Simple as that.

Mechanically, that is the closest way I can get to what you ask for. But I will assume you want to revert them back that's fine.

You all(ORA used to recharge minisun) each have an anomaly card. I think you're all set for your turn but it may take me a bit before I come back and update this turn. Feel free to fill it out.

That's what I meant, you were given three evolution cards this round. They do not contain the ability to give a life form an ability. They only tweak one stat.

You can change one need, but if it conflicts with another you will have to play another card to resolve that. You can change the threshold. You can add or subtract one need.

It's more subtle, but it applies to a whole stack(species) in a region.

Ok. Then instead of what I did, I want to do these in the northern hemisphere:
-Decrease the grazers' needs to 1 plant
-Increase the grazers' threshold by 1
-Decrease the carnivores' needs to 1 grazer

The grazers will now be called "efficient grazers", the carnivores will now be called "efficient hunters".

The Emerald Caterpillar awakens near the Equator. This massive insect incubated for untold aeons in the bowels of the world and it is now ready to begin its metamorphosis. It starts creating its massive cocoon, pulsating with divine power. This power has a strange effect on nearby lifeforms. Two of them, the glass termites and the local apex predator are enlightened. Their minds and bodies evolve, granting the termites a centaur-like form (but not a bigger size), while the apex predator settles for a more standard humanoid one. But the biggest changes are in their minds, now truly capable of forming complex toughts.

After a while the Emerald Butterfly emerges  from her cocoon, now an adult, an flies away, eager to explore the world she has helped shaping.

I was under the impression that only my God remained the same, not also my titan. In this case, if I have not enough actions to do as I wrote, I do not grant sentience to the apex predator.

EDIT: Bleh. Nothing's coming to mind. We never got to the point where there was any proper civilization, so I can't think of what to do here.
Let's just say that there was a famine/blight/etc., but the Treants, Grazerkin, and Foxxin figured out how to harness the Orange Sun to sustain themselves.
