Title: Haspen Plays Europa Universalis III (all expansions, modded)

Because I love Europa Universalis III, and it is a strategy game that can be paused, why shouldn't I do some LPs of it on the forums?

What do you guys want me to play? I modded in Westphalia, Belgium and Yugoslavia as formable nations (easy, tricky and masochist difficulty), and Poland got its own Elective Monarchy (basically Noble Republic on steroids and some political decisions that look tempting only on paper), so I could showcase those? Otherwise, pick me a nation and I will play it. As I tinker with the EU3 code more, new things will show up probably.

The length of game would be 14th October 1399 (standard start game for In Nomine expansion and beyond) to 12th January 1848 (date I extended the game to, virtual cookies for those who understand the reference).

Please do note that while I've learned lots about the game, I'm not an highly experienced player. If you tell me to go play some tiny nation outside of HRE (for example), I will simply say no... then again, I did restore Byzantium and made Ottomans extinct ;vc

From what I recall, the Golden Horde doesn't have much endurance.  They'll probably trigger another war or have an uprising in their borders before too long.  If you can just hold them back for a while, it'll be all right.  Or maybe just let them have one province, and maybe take it back after the bad-and-horrible happens to them.

They go to war with everyone they border automatically every 5 years (except other hordes, with whom they can do normal diplomacy).

Still, they're scary, especially if Novgorod throws tribute at them early and gets out of the fighting ;v

B) Bohemians
C) Golden Horde

Would declare war, punt our armies into nonexistence and then grab land. In one particular savescum, all 3 decided to do with the Partitions 300 years earlier than anticipated.

Pretty sure you're going to be at war with the Timurids or other nomads for most of the game.  They're probably too busy fighting rebels, pretenders, and their other neighbors to be a real threat, and I don't think they can annex you.

EDIT: They can steal your land though.
I've been having fun as Steppe Nomads, but I still haven't figured them out completely.  The whole "not knowing when we'll be at war" thing is quite confusing.
Any advice on playing as them?  Currently playing as Golden Horde.

I tried to get Kashmir anywhere, but its either Timurids who eat us up, or, if Timurids decide to be lenient, its Delhi who rushes our devastated state for easy landgrab, ending in our annexation.

I don't understand; when I try something outside and LP, it goes well, but when I try to LP it, everything goes to shite.

It is a reformed Ming which no longer has any Factions in effect, which means they have no more limits on army size, merchant/missionary/colonist use, and because they are an Absolute Monarchy (150-200 years before normally possible), they get Imperialism casus belli which has 50% infamy/warscore cost on annexing provinces.

Yeah, I've made them a bit OP.
