For the past few months I've been getting rather annoying acne along my lower face, usually in the area from the corners of my mouth to chin. Mostly small lumps with white centre, sometimes inflamed and red. Normally I wouldn't care, but they seem to be coming as often as they go.
I wash daily, of course, and my skin doesn't appear to be oily. I looked up solutions, but there's simply a plethora of random, sometimes expensive stuff which may not work because everyone is different.
This is not meant to plague an adult. Any advice?

This is going to sound odd but there is a connection, however attenuated: Do you have allergies and/or sleep apnea?
The process works like this: allergies or sleep apnea → insufficient oxygen while sleeping → open mouth → leaking saliva → irritated skin from the corners of your mouth down. I used to / still occasionally get perioral eczema this way.
So it may be a good idea to look into that.

Wash your pillow case on the reg, like once a week.
Buy a good, non-irritating soap like Cetaphil.
Avoid touching your face.
Exfoliate that area with a luffa or a special dermal washcloth.

another thing to check is the pH of your water. Skin microbes rely on specific pH levels, and altering the pH of your wash water (and subsequently, of your dried skin) can have a profound impact.
-
Can also spritz the area with a 50/50 mix of water and apple cider vinegar. Rub gently then let it sit for a minute or so before you rinse it off. You'll feel a little stinging as the ACV interacts with the bacteria in your pores and on the surface of your skin.

My $0.2: papaw ointment.
Should be fairly cheap and easy to come by. In my experience it works wonders for a variety of skin issues.

Much good advice here! Many thanks. Will try a few things.
Also... what in blazes is papaw?

Also... what in blazes is papaw?
Regional for papaya.
There's also a few kinds of fruit called 'pawpaw', because they look like papayas.
