Title: IRON GLADIATOR
Subtext: THE SEQUEL TO THE CLASSIC MECH CARD BATTLE!
When the GM announces the start of the Reveal Phase, both players announce their plays for their turn in the thread.Since the GM (you) announce it, you are clearly already online, and you have both actions the players made. So why the extra wait?

I am sorry, whale master, I had a slip of the tongue when I called you a fool - Rather not have my mech self-destruct totally when I use my signature card, Big Red Button. It better be a good mech! Ok, I'll wait.
The Clouds begin to Gather..Thanks. Going over it now.

Not so fast.

CreditsSpoiler (click to show/hide)
Year 0 (http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=162556.0): The Loophole
Wreckage from the countless battles of mass produced war mechs fill up junkyards with their scrap parts, self-titled 'rednecks' begin taking these parts and assembling scrap mechs for their own amusement and to settle trivial disagreements.
The most famous of these ended in a draw between GROS-MT3 and THE JACKHAMMER, the pilots were arrested.
Thanks to a legal loophole regarding "abandoned military property" and massive support from their fans, the pilots were released, their mechs were returned to them, and civilian mech battles were officially ruled a legal sport, barring implementation of new regulations on venue and spectator safety.
Year 5 (http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=168157.0): The Tournament at Twin Cities Canyon
An important truce is formed, ending a conflict that opened the way for peace.
Impressed by their skill and machines, militaries had begun to draft custom mech pilots as mercenaries.
Footage of the battle before the cease fire goes viral, civilians begin colloquially referring to it as The Tournament, as many ace mercenaries in flashy custom mechs were used by both armies.
NYANMECH and LANCELOCK become popular toys and models.
Year 10 (http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=168557.0): The Colosseum
With no conflicts scrap parts become scarce.
Investors take a chance on the popular amateur pastime and build a massive stadium to host events with prize money, hobby custom mech designers now can buy parts directly from the manufacturers.
The first stadium battle between two custom mechs is held and is won by the anonymous pilot of BEEFEETER PRIME.
The youth play VR games simulating the sport, and a future generation of pilots for the games are on the horizon.
Year 15 (http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=171493.0): The Incident
Hundreds die from a terrorist attack in South America by a rogue unregistered(and thus, assumed civilian), combat mech, threatening to destroy the positive public opinion of private mechs, new regulations on civilian combat mechs leads to the indefinite closure of Colosseum 12.
Many cite the heroic efforts of mercenary George Marcos, pilot of RAGNAROK JOTUNN as a counterargument, however the terrorist remains at large.
Year 20: The Present Day
As panic subsides there is a slight rollback on civilian combat mech regulations.
A new tournament is announced. To be bigger and better than ever before, test battles are held in preparation for the return of stadium mech battles.

1. COOLING LASER (GUARD) COOLING LASER
GUARD: SELF INSTANT. Choose a part and another that can reasonably reach it to defend with. Damage received will transfer there instead. This card does not count against your card limit for the turn.
T with LA1
2. SKRAP HEEP (JUMP) SKRAP HEEP
JUMP: SELF INSTANT. Use jump jets to dodge attacks. An incoming attack's HIT will decrease by double the fuel you spent(or equal if attacker has a module with AIM). This card does not count against your card limit for the turn.

(https://i.imgtc.com/K5gQYIv.png)He was confident - This was his element: multi-mech chaos, sprinkled with a grand 1v1 at the end.
Then I'll jes' blow them to bits so you can't even stand proper!
(https://i.imgtc.com/bVsh7dg.png)He lines up a shot at his opponent's leg... Only for the blast to come from his spare leg, streaking for Cooling Laser's Torso!
Still fighting, eh? Let's get this over with...

Distance: Far
1. COOLING LASER (JUMP) COOLING LASER
JUMP: SELF INSTANT. Use jump jets to dodge attacks. An incoming attack's HIT will decrease by double the fuel you spent. If this was not a discard action, you can play another card.
2. SKRAP HEEP (BEAM PULSE II) COOLING LASER
BEAM PULSE II: FAR 4ZIP 3HIT 2POW. Generates 1 heat. You can play another BEAM PULSE card.
T: 3 + 6 - 2 = 7HIT (9) Miss!
3. COOLING LASER (KICK) SKRAP HEEP
KICK: NEAR 3ZIP 1HIT XPOW. Use a leg to attack with, X is the size of that leg. If your attack hits, your leg simultaneously takes 1d10 damage, X maximum.
(USE RL1) LA1: 1 + 2 = 3HIT (4) Miss!
...even though heat is not important for this match, I may as well get in the habit of it again...
Skrap Heep 1 - 4 = 0HEAT
(WILL only go down by 1 per turn once this match is over.)
...Apparently I modeled Skrap Heep backwards! (left and right arm flipped) Well if Skrap Heep ever sees action again, it's an easy fix.

(USE LL1) RL1: 1 + 2 - 4 [0 HIT] Miss.
6. SKRAP HEEP (BIG RED BUTTON) COOLING LASER
BIG RED BUTTON: Must have more heat than coolant system level, 1P 2H (X)P, Far. X is your current heat. By critically overheating a body party and launching it at your opponent, the Big Red Button does solid damage while also clearing your Heat! Although, you did just sacrifice a limb… “I forgot what this thing does. LET’S FIND OUT!”
INSUFFICIENT HEAT
