The dwarffortresswiki is one of the few sites I use (and bay12...) that are still don't use TLS to encrypt. I'm well aware that the cost and hassle of certificate ownership/management has been a barrier here. But Let's Encrypt (https://letsencrypt.org/) now allows for free and simple management of your certificates. Any chance of moving in this direction?

Locriani tried this a few years back. The major issue was that (at the time) few ads were capable of being served over HTTPS, which made the upgrade infeasible. That may have changed by now.
