I've started a side project about recreating parts of my new fort in the wonderful editor/game 'Dreams' for PS4. https://www.mediamolecule.com/games/dreams (https://www.mediamolecule.com/games/dreams)
The fort it still very young (and waiting for a fix against baby-controlled mothers), but the basic dimensions are set, and a bunch of temporary outdoor workshops are placed together with a trading depot.

(RRR: I will need to find out how to directly show my Google pictures.)

To recreate this map, I have settled on a 1x1x2 m box for each DF cell, which seem to work pretty well, and then started to put 'placeholder' blocks to get an impression of the 3D size. Some trees are place at their in-game coordinates, and scaled so their heights matches the game, and I've thrown together a generic workshop and copied it to get a feeling of the stockyard.
Anyway, - here is a recording of my 'dwarf' taking a walk in the above ground fort. There is still a lot to do, and I plan to work on this whenever I want to play with Dreams.

PTW! I love how you capture the hidden beauty of a subterranean fort, which otherwise appears as a hole in the ground for surface-dwelling elves & umies

Hmm, thank you, ... but I must assume you are ironic(?)
The goal of this 'scene' is indeed to recreate the above ground fort to get a feeling of the scale. If I build something below that I want to see in 3D, then that may come later.
Anyway, the DFMA has been updated with the library having two stories more, and the fort has a double height wall. A 'goblin entrance' has also been made (and successfully live tested).

And here is a corresponding walk around the main areas in Dreams. :)

As said, the first goal is to get some basic building blocks down to sense the dimensions, and then I will continuously improve the look of things.

Nah not being ironic, I thought this one was literally an underground fort (https://youtu.be/OPAjj1iVTqI)

Looks great that, I wanted to do something similar but am really struggling to get to grips with Dreams, had it since early access and it just hasn't clicked with me

The surface fortress felt very real. Could you perhaps add a skybox to give it a sense of locality?
One of the most interpretable 3d visualizations yet.. However, it lacks reproducibility due to the need for artistry and patience. Keep it up, it's unique and worthwhile for certain. You should list your videos on youtube as well, I don't see why not. That cavern one especially would be very interesting for all the newer or interested players.
*edit now I realize there is distant terrain! though it's kind of grey. perhaps you could take data from another visualizer to fill in those lands with a more concrete realization?
