Hiya folks. If you're unfamiliar with the rules of one of the most classic strategy games of the century, you can get acquainted with them here. (https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Diplomacy/Rules)

So what this is all about?

Well, the year is 2020 and things were all coming up Gilbert until some asshole mixed all of the maps of Europe up. Naturally, the only solution is war. And you are going to make sure that your country of choice wins.

Depending on how many players show up the map might look different. This is the eight player variant:

Stars denote supply centers. Starting Army and Navy positions will be determined when there are players. Newcomers welcome. Game ends when one player controls half or more supply centers at the beginning of his turn or when a coalition of players controlling over 50% of the supply centers agree to split the win.

You mean light blue? White is neutral (and probably not gonna last long).

Sure, I thought white land was actually a country, in light of the fact it isn稚, yes I値l go with light blue. Out of curiosity, were the (now countries) in light blue ever actually unified like they are in this map? If so, what was that country called?

Yes, actually, the Scandinavian countries were united like this for a time from 1397 to 1523 under Danish kings. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalmar_Union)

Russia is taken so I will go as... The Ottoman Empire (I know it's supposed to be Turkey but it's very similar to Ottoman borders in the Balkans during the 19th century). It does seem like a safe choice.

Small note: controller of Copenhagen province can allow ships between Dogger Bank and Baltic Sea provinces, controller of Thrace can allow ships between Black Sea and Aegan Sea provinces.

It's listed as Scandinavia. It has a navies in Norway (North Sea) and Sweden (Baltic Sea) and armies in Finland, Malmo and Aalborg. Also, join the Discord, please! It's very convenient for communication.

The game officially begins on 00:00 05.07.20 (GMT+2). If anyone else wants to sign up, now's the time to do it! There will be a 48 hour pause between turns to facilitate plotting and planning, unless a simple majority of players votes for an extension.

If no more players sign up, France, Germany and Spain shall be considered in anarchy - their armies and navies will stay where they are and if it is necessary to disband troops I will choose which ones go first.

First coalition to control over 26 supply centres can declare victory! Good luck and have fun, plotters!
