I did some testing of my own, and sure enough it works:

I only ran the world until 400, so I don't know if the mummy would have gotten up to any world-ending shenanigans like necros - but I don't see why not.
Dari actually had an interesting life (or afterlife). She was born in 97, and fought many battles for the Empire of Enchantment before being made general in 167. When she died she was entombed, and rested peacefully until 225 when she came back for vengeance, under the assumed identity of "The Unique Time". Her vengeance didn't last long, though: she was captured by some goblins and imprisoned for thirty years. She escaped in 283 and headed back to her old home, Omenmoor, where she became, of all things, a tavern keeper. She worked there until she was made "harvest caretaker" in 296, and promptly started embezzling funds from the government for some goblin cronies. She even threatened the local baron into accepting bribes for leniency - which he wisely accepted, being "too afraid not to comply." But at last, in 343 she aroused suspicion by "appearing not to age" and fled into the prairies, where she eventually built her tower.
