The Aelis hail from Syll; they are small and light, carrying themselves across the sky from mountaintop to mountaintop with their wings. Their feet are as adept at manipulating objects as most species' hands are.
The Takrin, meanwhile, are from Karchik; an aquatic species adapted to the high pressures of the sea floor, they are squat and well-armored, resembling something akin to a lobster centaur. In addition to their many legs, they have two sets of arms - the upper having powerful pincers, the lower being more suited to holding tools.

We are the Azaryth Coalition, an alliance of several civilizations which developed on the two habitable planets in our solar system. While other civilizations still remain, and have their own alliances, ours is the largest and most powerful. Our two primary members are Adjilia, from the mountainous planet Syll, and the United Garryk States, of the Karchik oceans.

Sounds cool and alien. I'll use that for the empire name, backstory, and species descriptions.

I’m thinking the populations could be around 3 billion inhabitants per planet, demographics am unsure about
