Title: [OOC] Trespassers of the Multiverse: Gaiden Gaiden: Investigations

There exists an untold number of universes, each with its own friendships, wars, gods, and demons. Each one with countless stories to tell. More are generated every instant, as new possibilities unfold and new minds are born with new ideas in a fractal expansion.

However, one of these many expansions went terribly, horribly wrong.

Horrific monstrosities, barely having a true form and defying all common or uncommon logic in description, were born in the gap between worlds. They ached to fill the gaping void within themselves with true existence, and so they fell upon the myriad worlds, devouring all that they ran across, some assuming the forms of familiar foes turned alien and some forcing their way into the hearts and minds of the people responsible for protecting the worlds they lived in.

The multiverse has held its own for eternities. These incursions are met by bands of heroes or chosen individuals with the strength of mind and arm to defeat them, wherever they appear. However, the war is turning. More and more worlds are falling to the beasts - called Trespassers for their lack of belonging - and their closest things to lords or kings have begun appearing - Pure Trespassers, raw destructive, consuming essence with a hatred for existence itself.

So the multiverse is fighting back. You have been chosen, lifted from your home universe, to fight these foes wherever they appear. Are you prepared to accept this mantle of duty, strong enough to fight to save every existence?

Basically, the premise of the game is this: A bunch of people from a bunch of different universes are pulled together by a cosmic force to kill big nasty monsters. It'll be a mixture of freeform RP and mechanically-based combat. There will be a number of chapters; some run by myself to advance a greater story arc, and player-made ones that can be virtually whatever you imagine, with breaks in between for the characters to rest and prepare for the coming battles - as well as getting to know each other. Maybe the heroes heard that a powerful artifact for fighting Trespassers is on a world, and they've got to prove they're worthy of it; maybe one of the PC's homeworlds is at risk of being devoured. It's entirely up to you guys (though I'll still be overseeing them, of course.)

Perks: Powerful, semi-unique bonuses that a character gets, that either give sweeping boosts to overall power or significantly change the way a character operates, among other things such as strong signature attacks. These are very flexible, and allowed to bend the rules more than other things. It is recommended to read through the entire system (and a few example sheets) before picking one.

Each character starts with two perks, and gains an additional perk every 5 levels. One more perk can be 'bought' with a Flaw; essentially a negative Perk. A flaw represents an innate weakness, such as a vulnerability to a certain kind of damage. Perks can also be leveled by using up more perk slots, increasing their effects or complexity.

As the current party level is 6, each character begins with 3 perks. All rules are unchanged.

Example Perks:

Superiority: Hiroki's relentless assault deals 1.5x damage against targets that are under 50% health.
Memory Module: Duality: Whenever Prototype has healed a total of LVL*4 during a single encounter, it gains a 30% damage bonus for the next 3 turns. Whenever Prototype inflicts a total of LVL*4 during a single encounter, it gains a 30% bonus to heals performed for the next 3 turns. This effect can trigger multiple times in a single encounter.
Yin & Yang (Level 2): Tsubasa's fighting style emphasizes moving with the flow of battle, attack moving into defense and defense into attack when the time is right. They have a Yin and Yang meter, that start at zero and progressively fill. Every attack increases Yin by one, and every supportive action increases Yang by one. Yang also increases on turns an attack was received. These can be used to perform more powerful techniques. Whenever they are spent, the opposite gauge increases by the same amount. Each gauge is capped at 8 points. Resets to 0 after each battle.

Level: Increased whenever the GM deems it appropriate, generally when reaching plot milestones. New characters start at level 6.
HP: Equal to 30+(Level*[CON+2])
Initiative: Your bonus to initiative, generally DEX minus any penalties you may have.
Base Stats: 14 points at base+4 per level. (Formula being [10+Lv*4].) Stat caps are 5+Level*1.5, rounded down. (At level 6, you have 34 stat points and your stats are capped at 14.)

• Strength: How physically powerful a character is. Some equipment might be heavy, reducing initiative unless the user meets a certain strength score. Focus this stat if you want raw numbers on your weapons and armor.
• Dexterity: A general measure of coordination and speed. One of two stats permissible for critical hits, and increases character initiative. Take this on characters that rely on striking first, especially if you plan to give them effects like dodges or critical hits.
• Intelligence: A general idea of how well-educated and knowledgeable a character is, as well as their ability to manipulate data. The only stat that can be used for both critical hits and support abilities. Good for offensive support characters, or characters centered on self-buffs.
• Constitution: How resilient a character is to incoming damage. Determines character health, and is frequently targeted by debuffs. Useful for everyone, but especially good on characters that want to soak up damage for the team.
• Synergy: Measures power not covered by other stats, such as magical energy or the strength of one's onboard nuclear reactor. Can do anything, but has no particular effects. Useful as a secondary stat on most builds, or a primary one for more well-rounded characters.

Actions: Generally speaking, "things characters do." They can be active, passive, or take the form of equipment - more on that later. You get 10 AP to start, and 2 for every level. (Formula is 8+2*Level.) Actions cost 1 AP to create and level. You also start with 5 action slots, and gain one every even level. Additionally, every character can take the "Defend" action unless prevented from acting somehow, reducing incoming damage by 50% after all other calculations. (Does not have initiative, or reduce pure damage.) Action level is capped at two above character level.

Examples:

First Form: Bolt from Blue Skies: A sword technique that emulates a sudden flash of lightning from a previously calm sky. Deals double damage, plus additional [DEX] damage, to a single target. Not usable if user has already attacked this encounter.
-Level 1: Double weapon damage. Only usable if user has not attacked yet.
-Level 2: Adds user DEX to the damage. If the attack is a DEX attack, add CON instead.

Me Patra (Level 3): Perlita summons Crawford and casts a spell which showers the target in bright sparkles of a turquoise color. These sparkles are the visual signs of a spell that can soothe burns, purge illnesses, and calm down unnaturally troubled minds... or maybe multiple at once. Perlita heals all of up to two targets’ ailments, with one turn of cooldown for each target beyond the first.
Level 2: Upgraded from removing one ailment from the target to removing all ailments from them.
Level 3: Upgraded to applying to two targets — but for each target beyond the first, she incurs a turn of cooldown.

Equipment: Each character begins the game with effective craft tokens equal to their level+2, which are to be spent during character generation (in the same manner as AP) on creating and leveling equipment. Equipment is treated as functionally equivalent to actions for the purposes of combat, and scales more weakly in exchange for being easier to obtain and level. "Weight" is a common shorthand for an effect that reduces the user's initiative by the value minus their Strength, in exchange for being more powerful. Head to the Discord for advice on weight penalties if an existing piece of equipment doesn't nicely match what you're doing.

A note on complexity: You can make your effects as convoluted as you want. However, consider this an official establishment of the "tl;dr clause": the GM is not liable for things they forget to roll on your sheet. Actions that do many things at once also tend to be difficult to balance, and thus might not be as good as you think they are. Therefore, you are best served by keeping your effects simple and distinct - it's good for my sanity and yours.

Equipment in this game is handled in terms of the action system; a piece of gear goes into your sheet where any other action might, with comparable effects. The main difference is that equipment can be traded between characters, and can only be leveled by crafting and training with it. You can also "craft" actions by training, if your character's not the type to load up on fancy bits of metal and magical trinkets; you can't give these away, obviously, but these "tricks" otherwise function like equipment.

No matter who actually performs a craft the character who seeks to benefit from it must spend 1 crafting token per attempt.

There are two kinds of crafts, Raw and Leveled crafts. Raw crafts involve creating or improving items(or tricks) using only non-item resources(or no resources) such as raw materials, harvested monster parts, or random dungeon junk.

The crafting check is 3d6 + Stat + Resources + Conditional bonuses. 

The stat to be used in a craft is determined between the GM and player based on the fluff and flavor of the craft.  Intelligence and Synergy are most common with Item crafting, though Dexterity, Strength, and Constitution are all viable(especially when dealing with Tricks). Resources that were gathered give +0.5 per unit, resources that were dropped(given by GMs as loot or from PC powers) instead grant +1 per unit.  Rare and creatively used resources may grant higher bonuses or have other effects on GM fiat. The maximum number of resources that can be used in a craft is determined entirely by GM fiat.

Leveled crafting works similarly to Raw crafting, but involves creating or improving an item(or trick) by consuming one or more other items.  It is an effective way to improve high level items or quickly improve a low level item.

The crafting check is 3d6 + Stat + Resources + Investment + Conditional bonuses.

Resources work as they do in Raw crafts. Investment is equal to the sum of levels of the items being consumed, NOT counting the level of the item being created or improved.  Using many similar or low level items has diminishing returns based on GM fiat.

Difficulty Class(DC) determines how tough an attempted craft is and scales with the crafter’s level.

The DC is Base Difficulty + Item Level + Familiarity + Level Multiplier + Conditional penalties.

Base Difficulty is the Crafter’s (level*1.5) + 10 rounded down. Item level is equal to the level the item you’re creating or improving will end up(a level 3 item being improved incurs a +4 to the difficulty). Familiarity ranges from -2 to +4 depending on how familiar the character crafting is with the subject(A fire mage might have a +1 when working with a magic lightning crystal, but a -2 when working with software engineering or blacksmithing). Level Multiplier is a counterbalance for attempting to increase an item by two or more levels in a single craft.  It adds +5 for every level an object is being improved beyond the first.

Variations:
On top of the standard crafting check the GM can also choose to roll 1d100(commonly Luck, Quality, or Random Blitz) to represent the fickle and random nature of the universe.
Results closer to 1 end up causing minor negative effects or conditionals on a successful craft or temporary penalties on a failure.  Results closer to 100 might save a craft that barely failed, cause resources to be salvaged from a failure, or grant minor boons to successful crafts.
Regardless, as a general rule variations should be equivalent to fractions of levels in power and not largely affecting the overall results.

Success:
This usually means simply granting specified level to the item or trick in question or designing something appropriate if the crafter was vague or simply didn’t specify anything.  Occasionally on an overwhelming success additional bonuses might be in order.

Failure:
With Raw crafts this usually just means a loss of resources and no item improvement.  With Leveled crafting “consumed” items might be broken into a few scraps or lose one or more levels instead of being lost completely.

Examples:

Deflector Shields (19 Weight):  Alexandria protects herself with layers of hard light deflector screens and magnetic shields, reducing damage as long as the shields can withstand the incoming fire.
-Level 1 (Craft):  Grants a temporary HP pool of [level x4].  [Level] of this pool is used to absorb damage from incoming attacks.  When the pool is depleted, the shields go on cooldown for 2 rounds, after which the HP pool is refilled.
-Level 2 (Craft):  Increases the HP pool size to [level x6].
-Level 3 (Craft):   Increases the HP spent on absorbing damage per hit to [level x2], reducing damage further at the expense of also depleting the shield faster.
-Level 4 (Craft):  Increases the HP pool size to [level x8].

Black Heart (10 Weight): Mira’s personal sword, a rather long, one handed blade made out of black metal. Deals 6d8+Strength damage. Gains a charge when dealing damage; every two charges gives Mira +1 SYN and -1 damage reduction.
- Level 1: Deals 3d8+Strength damage to a single target.
- Level 2: Damage increased by 1d8
- Level 3: Damage increased by 1d8
- Level 4 (Crafted): Damage increased by 1d8. Bonus towards Magra infusion on this weapon.
- Level 5 (Crafted): Aura of Greed: Once per round when Mira lands a weapon attack Black Heart gains one charge.  Mira gains +1 Syn  and -1 global DR for every two charges Black Heart possesses.  Black Heart looses all charges at the end of each encounter.

Warding Vestments: A set of robes that absorb, and then slowly release hostile magic. Negate the first debuff targeting Heidrun. 3 round cooldown.
-Base: Negate the first debuff targeting Heidrun this encounter.
-Level 2: 5 round cooldown.
-Level 3: 4 round cooldown.
-Level 4: 3 round cooldown.

Spoiler: Guidelines for Characters (click to show/hide)

-No canon characters. If you -really- want to play a specific character, make an expy; a very similar character from another setting.
-Characters can be drawn from any setting, original or otherwise, and the Trespassers multiverse itself exists as a meta-setting to be drawn from.
-Try to avoid making too much of a Mary Sue, i.e. a character who tends to solve the plot by existing. There's no real agreement on where the line is (cue the eternal argument over whether Batman qualifies) but try to give your character realistic and relevant flaws in fluff. The mechanics also won't hold up your character fantasies.
-If you think a character might be controversial or divisive, talk them over with the GM.
-Character redrafts happen sometimes. Try not to make it a habit.
-Avoid "l0l so rAndUm" characters or explicitly evil/sociopathic ones. If they don't have a reason to work with the party to save the multiverse, they don't belong in this game.

Spoiler: Rule Notes and Errata (click to show/hide)

• Basic System Rundown: Every round, every character in the fight posts one Action and who they're using it on, if applicable. (E.g. Haruka uses Shield Bash on Familiar #3.) Characters can talk, you can describe their actions in detail, etc. Once every action is submitted, the GM will process them all in the order of initiative, and then the process begins again next round.
• Summons: Will be handled case-by-case. However, all summons must be perk-backed in some way.
• Dropping to Zero Health: This game will use an injury system. You can take up to three injuries before you die. Injuries are inflicted only when a character drops to zero (or lower) health. Mechanically, an injury functions as a half-magnitude Flaw that is chosen by me (or the GM of the current plot, which I will then vet.) Healing these injuries may be offered as an alternate reward after completing a plotline, or repaired via sufficient usage of craft tokens.
• Errata: This kind of system requires a lot of little (and sometimes not-so-little) specifications and adjustments. I'll record them here as they're made.Nerfs, Buffs: A lot of the time, a character will turn out under- or overpowered. That's okay! We can adjust it on the fly. Be willing to accept that the GM makes mistakes and might have to reduce your character's power to fall in line with others of the same level.
• Sheet Maintenance: Players are expected to maintain their own sheets and make changes as the GM recommends. Failure to do so will invite GM action if it becomes an issue.
• Perk-backed Actions: They have a baseline power level higher than that of normal ones (since Perks are much more limited) and don't cost AP to get, though they do cost AP to level further. They also come with their own slot.
• Critical Hit Systems: The game has no innate critical hit system. Critical strike abilities are limited to scaling off of DEX or INT (or fixed scaling.)
• Over-encumbrance: A character cannot exceed a total INIT penalty of -10; if they would do so, they must unequip gear until they are no longer suffering such a penalty.
• Buffs and AoE: Damage buffs have halved effects on actions that target more than one enemy.
• Stuns: Any effect that prevents an enemy from taking its turn entirely (typically referred to as a stun or similar) automatically grants a turn of immunity to other effects of that kind upon ending.
• Dice Boosts: Effects that boost die size will not raise this size past d12. Effects that increase the number of dice used will not take effect on actions that use dice of greater size than d12s.

Is this game accepting signups?/Can I add another character?

Signups will never close. As long as you don't do something blatantly stupid/douchey, you'll never be barred from the game. However, secondaries and tertiaries will only be allowed for people who have at least some history of regular activity consisting of good posts. Simply put, if you're not putting in effort on one character, I have no reason to give you another.

I have no idea what's happening and I don't understand the rules.

Join the Discord. I can break it down into a more digestible format, if this doesn't work for you. If you have any questions (that aren't answered here), ask me or one of the other players. Looking at other character sheets, especially the GM ones, is also an excellent way to begin parsing the system (and is highly recommended even if you do, given that this game is balanced strongly on precedent.)

Why are there so many threads?

Individual chapters of large plots are broken up into multiple threads, for the sake of organization. Most rest/interaction phases are also broken into multiple threads, to make things easier to follow; this game has a lot of characters, 46 at the time of writing this, so spreading them out over four or so threads keeps conversation more coherent. If you're confused as to which threads are active at a given moment, ask.

This character is overpowered.

If you think a part of another character's kit, or a combination of elements in their kit, is overpowered (or underpowered), bring it up in PM or the salt channel. I prefer the latter, but understand some may be uncomfortable with discussing things in public.

My character is too weak/not what I wanted and I want to change them.

There is a rule that allows you to move around one AP per level after character creation. Complete reworks are discouraged unless systemic changes are made, and the more I have to deal with, the less keen I will be to allow them at all.

All global forum rules apply.

• Respect all other players, and the GMs.
• Bunnying - controlling another character without their consent - is strictly forbidden.
• Player killing is also generally forbidden. This isn't an arena game.
• Keep mentions of sex and violence within reasonable moral and legal bounds. Explicit depictions are against the rules, after all. If you must, learn the fine art of the fade-to-black.
• Posts should be two or three sentences minimum, with decent grammar and spelling. This isn't a hard and fast rule, but do avoid consistently terse posts. If you're having trouble, ask for help.
• In keeping with the above, avoid bullet-posting - making rapid, usually short, posts in a short amount of time, unless your character is in a one-on-one situation. Doing this makes it difficult for other players to keep up; the players are scattered across numerous timezones and areas of availability.
• If there is an ongoing interaction between two players, please ask before inserting your character; this makes things get messy quick.
• I reserve the right to add more rules as-needed.

Age: Exact age unknown, but at minimum a millenium old.
Gender/Sex: F
Race: Yaoyoruzu no Kami
Appearance: A Japanese woman with dark hair and noticeably unnatural golden eyes. Her hair is long, running most of the way down her back, and she has a few teal ribbons tied into her hair. She looks somewhat young (especially given her actual age), and has a voice slightly below a middling range for a woman. Her robes are a gray color on the outer layer, but change to brighter colors on the inner, particularly oranges and teals. Slightly taller than average.

Personality: Courteous and polite nearly to a fault. Not asocial, but tends to be somewhat conservative with her words, each of which carries a great deal of weight. She does possess a sense of humor, but doesn't often display it; her nigh-permanent frown does not help the impression of being totally incapable of enjoying herself. Often lost in thought.

Memories of Power: Mitsurugi's form and spirit remember being much more powerful than she is currently. Her effective level is 2 higher than her actual level.

Lightning Speed: Mitsurugi has lived a long life of fighting duels with both danmaku and blades; she's gotten pretty quick over it. Grants +1 DEX per level.

Building Calamity: Mitsurugi adds 20% of the damage she dealt last round to each attack this round. Damage is only considered for a maximum of two hits (damaging more will not build up additional damage.)

Actions:

Earth and Fire Sign "Eruption": Blasts danmaku at a target in a manner reminiscent of a volcanic eruption, dealing an attack with the equipped weapon that bypasses damage resistance. 2 turn cooldown.

Storm Sign "Furious Tempest": A spell card that emulates a hurricane with thrown ofuda and blindingly quick slashes at every foe in the area. Deals DEX+1d4 damage to all enemies within 5 initiative of a chosen target, 2 turn cooldown.
-Level 1: DEX to all enemies, 2 turn cooldown.
-Level 2: Adds 1d4 to damage, but increases cooldown by 1.
-Level 3: Decreases cooldown by 1.

Magic Blade (Passive): An attack by a god make in seriousness operates on both the physical and spiritual levels. When Mitsurugi makes an attack using an equipped weapon, she inflicts 4SYN/5 in damage to the primary target (does not apply to SYN weapons.)
-Level 1: Adds 1/5 SYN damage to attacks.
-Level 2: Increases damage bonus by 1/5 SYN.
-Level 3: Increases damage bonus by a further 1/5 SYN.
-Level 4: Increases damage by 1/5 SYN. -

Shukuchi: A rapid dashing strike that moves quickly enough that the user fades from sight. The user attacks with their equipped weapon twice, on a 2 turn cooldown.
-Level 1: User attacks twice, 5 turn cooldown.
-Level 2: 4 turn cooldown.
-Level 3: 3 turn cooldown.
-Level 4: 2 turn cooldown.

Divine Essence (Passive): Attacks on gods are similarly both physical and spiritual, and only the latter can be truly effective. When Mitsurugi would be brought to 0 HP by an attack, the attacker must make an opposed check against her Synergy. If it fails, she survives with 1 HP. Can only activate once per round.
-Level 1: Enemies must make an opposed check against Mitsu's SYN to down her. 3 round cooldown.
-Level 2: 2 round cooldown.
-Level 3: 1 round cooldown.
-Level 4: Can activate once per round. This ability cannot receive any more levels that allow it to activate more often.

A Sword from a Dead World: An excellently-made but fairly simple katana. It has a few enchantments placed on it, and to those perceptive magically, it feels simultaneously alive and not.
-Base: Deals 1d4+DEX damage.
-Level 2: Increases damage to 2d4.
-Level 3: Increases damage to 3d4.
-Level 4: Increases damage to 4d4.
-Level 5: Daisho: Can be used as a sidearm to a complimentary weapon, increasing that weapon's damage by two dice, no larger than d8s.

Robes of the Disaster God: A colorful set of robes that represent Mitsurugi's position as a god of natural disasters. They seem normal enough, but have an odd resistance to them when felt.
-Base: Grants a 5% chance to resist ailments applied to the holder.
-Level 2: 10% chance.
-Level 3: 15% chance.

Blade of the Phantom Moon: An exquisite katana made of silvery-grey metal that appears almost translucent in the right light, the very edge glows shifting from pale yellow/white to a soft teal.
Deals 3d6+[Dex] Light damage to one target, Weight of 4.
Level 2 - Cursed!: This weapon allows the user to interact with ghosts or spirits as if they were corporeal even if they couldn't normally, this effect works both ways.  They also take/deal 20% more damage from/to ghosts and spirits.
Level 3 - Phase: Once per combat the user may choose to make an attack with this weapon deal Pure damage.
Level 4 - Force of Nature: Attacks made directly with this weapon are not subject to miss or failure chance, proxy actions do not benefit from this effect.

Name: Sanada Tsubasa
Age: 16
Gender/Sex: Female
Race: Human
Appearance: Tsubasa has medium length, dark brown hair with a few natural highlights running through it. She's rather taller than average, meeting the heights of most of her male companions. She has somewhat prominent bangs that often resemble the beak of an eagle as they fall over her face. Her build is athletic, as one might expect, but not particularly bulky. Tsubasa's eyes are a light golden brown. She bears numerous scars, most of which are light, though they are heavier around her arms and legs. One notable one sits on the right side of her belly, being discolored and sunken slightly. Over her standard Demon Slayer Corps uniform of dark pants and shirt, she wears a mottled brown and white haori. She also has a n especially keen sense of sight, and a blood type described alternately as "very rare" or "extremely tasty."
 
Personality: Seems to be the gruff, stoic, and intimidating type. Chances are they've actually just forgotten what they were going to say, though; they're actually quite sociable, but can be quite absentminded. Impulsive by nature, and while not unintelligent, prefers to act on gut instincts rather than carefully ponder their actions. Prone to getting caught up in their emotions.
 
Perks:
Total Concentration Breathing: The bread and butter of a Demon Slayer. This technique allows one to harness the strength of one's breath and fight on par with demons. Allows Tsubasa to use their Constitution as an attacking stat in place of Dexterity, Strength, or Synergy.
 
Yin & Yang (Level 2): Tsubasa's fighting style emphasizes moving with the flow of battle, attack moving into defense and defense into attack when the time is right. They have a Yin and Yang meter, that start at zero and progressively fill. Every attack increases Yin by one, and every supportive action increases Yang by one. Yang also increases on turns an attack was received. These can be used to perform more powerful techniques. Whenever they are spent, the opposite gauge increases by the same amount. Each gauge is capped at 8 points. Resets to 0 after each battle.
 
Action & Reaction: When Tsubasa is attacked, they gain a stack of "Reaction." If two or more stacks of Reaction are present, Tsubasa expends all stacks to take an extra action on their next turn.
 
Flaw: Breathless: Tsubasa has not mastered the art of using Total Concentration Breathing full-time, and thus suffers the ill effects of stopping the technique. They have an additional "Breath" gauge that starts equal to their CON. Whenever Tsubasa uses an ability with a cooldown or gauge requirement, they lose half of that requirement (rounded down, but minimum 1) from this gauge. They lose the ability to act when this gauge is empty. Debuff cleanses restore Breath equal to the number of debuffs they would normally remove. Resets to 0 after each battle.

First Form: Bolt from Blue Skies: A sword technique that emulates a sudden flash of lightning from a previously calm sky. Deals double damage, plus additional [DEX] damage, to a single target. Not usable if user has already attacked this encounter.
-Level 1: Double weapon damage. Only usable if user has not attacked yet.
-Level 2: Adds user DEX to the damage. If the attack is a DEX attack, add CON instead.
 
Second Form: Eye of the Storm: A breath technique that finds calm in chaos. Increases damage resistance by 1+the user's Yin gauge for the remainder of the battle. Can be used again to double the resistance for a turn. Calculated off of user's Yin when they take damage, not when they use the move.
-Level 1: When activated, increases the user's damage resistance by their Yin gauge for 3 turns. If the gauge increases, so does the resistance.
-Level 2: Now permanent after use, but does not stack with itself.
-Level 3: Can be activated again to double the resistance for one turn.
-Level 4: Also adds +1 resistance at all times.
 
Third Form: Sky-Splitting Flash: A technique that launches the user in a direction at high speed, allowing gaps to be closed quickly. Tsubasa uses this to interpose herself between allies and foes. Intercepts 3+[Yin spent] attacks on targeted allies, carries over between turns.
-Level 1: Intercepts the next attack on target ally. Can spend Yin to increase the number of attacks intercepted this turn.
-Level 2: Intercepts carry over between turns.
-Level 3: Intercepts can now target multiple allies.
-Level 4: Intercepts an additional attack.
-Level 5: Intercepts an additional attack.
 
Fourth Form: Lightning Cracking the Ground: A slow, heavy attack whose true purpose is not inflicting damage, but forcing an opponent to interrupt what they're doing. Also good for clearing obstacles, in a pinch.
-Level 1: Stuns a target. 3 round cooldown, can spend Yin to reduce this on a one-to-one basis.
-Level 2: Also reduces target's damage by Yin gauge when this action was used for the turn after the stun wears off.
 
Fifth Form: Chain Lightning: Channels a destructive flow of energy, jumping from victim to victim along the path of least resistance. Costs 5 Yang. Attacks 3 times, targeting the nearest enemy in initiative to the original target for followups. Can hit the same enemy twice.
-Level 1: Attacks an enemy for [weapon] damage, then attacks the enemy nearest them for the same until 3 attacks have been performed.
-Level 2: Can retarget the same enemy once, if there are no other valid targets.
 
Sixth Form: Sweeping Current Surge: A strenuous, rapid stream of slashes that baffle, buffet, and cripple, striking multiple enemies at once. Costs 5 Yin. Deals [CON] damage to an enemy and each one above and below it in initiative, then reduces their damage by the same amount for 2 turns. Attacking a single target replaces the formula with a basic attack.
-Level 1: Select a target. To it and each enemy above and below it in initiative, deal [CON] damage. The victims have their damage reduced by the damage they take from this for 2 turns.
-Level 2: Sixth Form Kai: Overwhelming Current Surge: This variant form deals additional damage (a basic attack) if used on a single target.
 
Seventh Form: Perfect Flow: A difficult technique requiring perfect balance and clarity. The user evades incoming attacks with an absolute minimum of motion, then strikes home while the target is exposed. Requires both Yin and Yang gauges to be full. One round cooldown. Dodges an attack from an enemy, then deals the maximum possible damage of the incoming attack plus a normal attack.
-Level 1: Choose an enemy. Dodge the first attack from that enemy, then deal damage to that enemy equal to the maximum damage of that attack plus the maximum damage of a zero-requirement attack.
 
Eighth Form: Calm After the Storm: A flourish that also serves to ward off any parting shots from enemies that ends with the user returning to the state in which they began the battle. Removes two debuffs, and the user is considered to not have attacked this round.
-Level 1: Cleanses a single debuff and causes the next attack to be considered the first attack made.
-Level 2: Cleanses two debuffs.
 
Demon Slayer's Uniform: The standard issue for those who passed Final Selection. The garment is breathable, resistant to extreme temperatures, and not liable to be torn or damaged by the attacks of weaker demons.
-Level 1: Grants 2 damage resistance to slashing and similar attacks.
 
Nichirin Sword: One of the few instruments capable of slaying a demon for good. Infused with sunlight, these weapons are infallible if wielded properly - but beware the incautious strike. They change colors based on the wielder. Tsubasa's blade takes on a vibrant blue scheme with a tendency to catch and reflect the light. Weight 3. Deals 4d6+DEX damage
-Level 1: Deals 1d6+DEX damage.
-Level 2: If an enemy takes extra damage from light or sun based attacks, they take extra damage from this weapon.
-Level 3: Enemies killed with this weapon cannot be revived. This effect may partially fail (based on GM discretion) on stronger enemies.
-Level 4: 2d6 damage.
-Level 5: 3d6 damage.
-Level 6: 4d6 damage.

Appearance: She's reasonably well-proportioned and looks graceful when standing still. She wears heavy clothing at all times and lets her long silver hair flow freely. Notably, a pair of what appears to be pointed dog ears sprouts from her head. A matching tail pokes through the waterfall of hair, and she appears to wear two glossy black gemstones that dangle all the way down to where her hair ends.
Personality: Normally, she seems to be calm, almost dour. This can shift into near-emotionlessness, with her voice following. Certain topics can, however, prompt more animated replies from her. She enjoys learning how things work and gets passionate if asked about her charge. Angrier than she looks.

Martyrdom: Arturia may draw the sword sheathed within her body, unsealing its power core. She takes 20% MHP damage per turn, but doubles her synergy while this is active, and she gains a weapon that deals [level]d12+SYN lightning and slashing damage.
 
Heart of Radiance: Arturia is considered to be both dead and alive by magical effects, depending on which interpretation would be most favorable to her. Targetable by effects that specify they work on machines.

Quick Thinking: Once per turn, as a free action, Arturia may select a target. A weakness of that target will be revealed on her next one; if there are no remaining weaknesses, a lesser weakness will be created based on GM fiat.

Virtue of Fear (Flaw): Arturia is stunned the first turn she is affected by any fire-based effect, and moves last for as long as the fire-based effect persists.

Actions: 18/22

Thunder Knight's Decree: Arturia proclaims her intentions to protect one of her allies, and places herself between them and harm. Arturia selects an ally and takes 2 attacks per turn for them until the effect is retargeted.
Base: Arturia uses an action to select an ally. She intercepts one attack for them per turn until she chooses another, or until 3 turns pass.
-Level 2: Intercepts an additional attack.
-Level 3: This effect does not end unless Arturia chooses a new target.
-Level 4: This effect can be ended as a free action on a cooldown of 3 turns.

Knight of Power: Arturia summons her power at her fingertips, dealing [1+Number of times target has taken damage from Arturia]d6+SYN damage to the target.
-Base: Deals 1d4+SYN thunder damage. Gains an additional d4 of damage if Arturia has struck the target previously.
-Level 2: Die increase is based on all instances of damage dealt by Arturia to the target in a previous turn.
-Level 3: Die increase is now based on all instances of damage dealt by Arturia to the target in the encounter.
-Level 4: Increases die size to d6.
-Level 5: Extra dice are now added to Perseverance at a 2:1 ratio.

Shadow Stance: Arturia takes up a stance to threaten incoming attackers, counterattacking every instance of incoming damage for 55% of her normal damage for one turn.
-Base: Arturia counterattacks every enemy that attacks her for one turn, dealing 25% damage each time.
-Level 2: Counterattacks deal damage before the incoming attack.
-Level 3: Counterattacks now deal 35% damage.
-Level 4: Counterattacks now deal 45% damage.
-Level 5: Counterattacks now deal 55% damage.

Lightning Parry: Arturia parries and maneuvers away from incoming attacks, making a basic defense that applies before other damage reductions.         
-Level 2:  The damage reduction is reduced to 30%.         
-Level 3:  The damage reduction is reduced to 40%.         
-Level 4:  The damage reduction is not reduced.

Equipment:

Engraved Handgun: A 9mm semiautomatic pistol made of blackened steel, with yellow details. The sides of the slide are engraved with wolf motifs. Arturia has learned to use it in tandem with her holy weapon, giving an extra punch to the shots. Deals 3d4+SYN damage.
-Base: Deals 1d4+SYN piercing damage.

Appearance: Isobel stands at 5'3", with a somewhat curvy build (albeit one that is about average in weight). Her skin is rather pale (and freckled!), which is neatly contrasted by the light brown hair falling in curls down her back, just past her shoulders. Her eyes are hazel. She is wearing the outfit of a Nanotrasen botanist: A green and blue jumpsuit, a tough blue apron (which has the pocket LOTUS is clipped to), a pair of black sneakers, and a green and blue bandanna wrapped around her head, as well as a pair of green-stained leather gloves. A leather satchel is at her side, an ID card is on her chest, and a radio headset is at her ear.

LOTUS is a personal AI, inhabiting a little screened AI device about the size of an iPhone but a little bit wider; he has a couple of buttons, but as most of his functions are self-run and self-regulated, the majority of the card's front is taken up by the screen, which shows a little green cartoon-like face of a couple of dots and a line, which he can change the expression of.

 

LOTUS however also has a fairy form that can be transformed to at will after the events in Gensokyo, a feminine one -- a woman standing at a mere one foot tall. with a form relatively slim with fairly moderate curves. In this form, her skin is white in tone, her hair literally white and short -- not close-cropped, but simply only what would be a few inches long if she were human-sized, and a little black lotus sitting at an angle on her head. Her eyes are a dark blue. In this for, she wears a black dress (with bright green trim and green circuit patterns that extended past the dress onto the skin of her body and face) that goes down to her knees, showing no cleavage but showing her collarbone and her shoulders. Her feet have black heels, and on her back were four wings -- translucent, green, and in the narrow, pointed oval shape of lotus petals.

Personality: Isobel is a fairly quiet person, as she is not always terribly confident speaking, but she isn't silent -- though she doesn't talk too much, she does talk sometimes, and when she does she is gentle and kind. Isobel is also deeply compassionate, and altruism is what is guiding her to aid the team in the first place even though she's in slightly over her head, and this drives her to be actually fairly brave and dependable, even if she has some serious doubts about herself. She's quite an expert about plants and will actually get fairly nerdy if she is given the chance.


LOTUS' personality provides a little bit of a contast. LOTUS tends to talk a lot, as it is his main means of interaction with the world. He can start out as rather dismissive, but when he warms up to someone he can be fiercely loyal to them. The pAI is nearly constantly sarcastic, and though he is in fact willing to give people chances, he's confident that there are always going to be stupid people (or, to be fair, AIs) no matter where he goes, a group he gets a kick out of making fun of. Nonetheless, he is tactically skilled, and knows to put all of that sarcasm away when there's actual work to be done.

Meat Palanquin: Though Isobel carries LOTUS everywhere, the two of them ARE separate beings, and considering Isobel takes physical action whereas LOTUS takes vocal action, the two of them can act effectively independently. Each of the moves of Isobel and LOTUS are tagged [Isobel] or [LOTUS], and Isobel and LOTUS can use one of each category of move a turn. Actions are limited to (Level-1) levels, however, and [LOTUS] moves cannot be heals nor attacks. Pieces of equipment essentially count as [Isobel] moves. Active “defensive stance” moves such as Basic Defense override this perk, disallowing using two actions.

 

Reaction Time: On the NSS Exodus, things can sometimes break down into lightning-fast action. Isobel and LOTUS both have developed excellent reflexes -- Isobel from experience, and LOTUS from programming. +[2*Level] INIT.

 

Tactical Uplink (Partial): LOTUS has reconnected to the Tactical Uplink. It’s not a very good connection, as in flicks in briefly and then flickers out for several seconds, but it IS a connection nonetheless. LOTUS is finally back in touch with his “kin” and they are happy to help him out with calculations. When they can, anyway. Every three turns, a [LOTUS] move may be used as if it had an additional effective level, which is listed with each [LOTUS] move, and which is a fixed upgrade to the move created when the move is created.

 

Actions:
Help Intent (Level 2)[Isobel]: The Exodus is a real frantic place, and helping your fellow spaceman out becomes a natural action. Isobel has helped people out of sticky situations in the past, and she’s more than willing to help someone get on their feet now. Isobel removes an ailment from an ally.

Level 2: Isobel removes all ailments from an ally.

 

Dexterity [Isobel][Passive](Level 4): Isobel may not actually be a trained fighter but gunfights are not uncommon where she works and she's been shot at more times than she'd have liked. Isobel has a 15% chance to dodge incoming attacks.

Healing Poppy [Isobel](Level 4): Isobel, a very good botanist, has bred a species of poppy that takes the tiny dose of the heal-all tricordrazine within poppies in the 26th century and significantly increases it. This dose is fast acting upon consumption, too. Isobel heals someone for 5d4+INT damage.

Harvest [Isobel][Trick]: Isobel IS a trained botanist, and she has become skilled in the art of locating and harvesting seeds and pods from plants in such a way that they are useful for future planting. Isobel can harvest seeds from plants she finds, with an opposing INT roll similar to crafting rolls.

 

Pathing Advice [LOTUS](Level 3): LOTUS calculates various possible routes of travel and estimated timelines of action for the target, and then announces to them which of these is the most efficient course of action to move quickly. LOTUS fixes the initiative of the target directly behind his and Isobel’s initiative, for this turn and the next 2 turns. The target can also end this effect early.

Level 2: Upgrade from a duration of “this turn” to a duration of “this turn and the next”.
Level 3: Upgrade from a duration of "this turn and the next" to a duration of "this turn and the next 2 turns".

Efficiency Analysis [LOTUS](Level 2): LOTUS observes the action just made, and then calculates a more optimal way to release energy or regain stamina or such, at least for the current situation. He then, of course, shouts out that more optimal method. LOTUS removes two turns of cooldown from another character's turn. This move has 1 turn of cooldown itself.

Weakness Pinpoint [LOTUS](Level 4): LOTUS observes an enemy and using his built-in medical and security HUDs he finds a weakness within their defenses that may not be immediately apparent by purely visual inspection, and then proceeds to loudly broadcast them to the battle, revealing them for others’ usage. LOTUS creates a debuff on a target that grants a 20% *2 crit chance on attacks made against it for two turns.

Level 2: Upgrade from 5% chance to 10% chance.
Level 3: Upgrade from 10% chance to 15% chance.
Level 4: Upgrade from 15% chance to 20% chance.
Level 5: Duration increased to 2 turns.

Defensive Positioning [Basic Defense]: LOTUS focuses on getting a safer course of action for Isobel for the next few seconds, and Isobel focuses on carrying it out. This won’t protect her completely from attacks but it certainly will help. Isobel and LOTUS mitigate 50% of the damage of incoming attacks for a turn.

 

Atmosphere Scanner: One of the features which LOTUS was built with is one that is only useful in very specific conditions -- a remarkably small spectrophotometer module in his chassis, a standard piece of personal AI tablets, a natural result of that chassis being designed for use on space stations. LOTUS learns the makeup and pressure of the atmosphere of the area he is currently in. This instrument is typically quite accurate, but does occasionally bug out in rather specific ways.


Equipment:

Golden Chaingun [Level 2]: A strange wrist bangle made by Mar, this compact device of golden stone shoot out a chain made of solar magic that is tipped with a very sharp carbon steel hook which can easily stab into and catch in things. It’s made as a mobility booster rather than as a weapon, however. Can be used for one of two active abilities: performing an ersatz Basic Defense that provides Isobel and LOTUS with an additional 50% dodge chance in return for any other actions this turn, or for making an action first strike. 2 turn cooldown, either way.

Level 2: Adds the first strike option.

 

Hatchet: A simple botanist’s hatchet, this thing is MEANT to be chopping down saplings rather than Isobel’s enemies, but circumstances seem to have dictated otherwise. It’s kind of a terrible weapon, but Isobel isn’t much of a fighter anyway. Does 1d6+STR damage.

 

Botanist’s Apron [Level 2]: A tough blue apron made of synthetic fibers, it isn’t actually thick enough to protect Isobel from blows or projectiles, but it does work to protect Isobel somewhat from toxic hazards and corrosive hazards, very useful to any experimenting botanist. The apron provides 20% reduction  to the damage of poison-type attacks. It also lowers the duration of poisoning by a round.

Level 2: Adds the poisoning duration shortening effect.

 

Plant-B-Gone: A spray bottle full of a futuristic substance which deals grievous toxicity to what it is sprayed on... as long as that thing is a plant. Isobel forgot she had this, but it’s no wonder given its rather specific area of usefulness. Deals a poisoning ailment that does [INT] damage for 3 turns... to plants, and to plants only.

 

Starburst Poppies (x3): Curious multicolored poppies grown in a farm full of various magical plants. Restores 1d4+12 HP to one target; additionally roll 1d4 and they gain 3 DR for two rounds against one type chosen from the following; 1 Fire, 2 Ice, 3 Electric, 4 Physical(blunt, slash, & pierce).

Her skin is white, but tanned, and she has features that make her pretty clearly Hispanic if one knows where to look. Her eyes are a warm brown, and her hair is black, straight, and painstakingly groomed into a neat ponytail that goes just past her shoulders. Perlita wears a very conservative outfit, a white dress that goes down to just above her ankles, paired with a red vest that she wears shut.

Perlita's Persona, Crawford, appears in the form of a woman scaled up to around eight feet tall, with bright red hair styled into a curly bob. It wears a glitzy, glittery black cape which would normally be wrapped around the Persona's body, covering it. When Crawford moves around, however, it's revealed that it is wearing a daring combo of a red evening gown, black stockings, and high heels. The fact that the Persona's eyes are an empty white and that it moves in perfect synchronicity with Perlita, only summoned when she uses her abilities, reveal that it is an aspect of Perlita's abilities rather than an independent being.

Personality: Perlita possesses a very strong sense of justice, fairness, and altruism, and she therefore has a pretty definite handle on what she considers to be right and wrong, just or unjust. Perlita also has a genuine desire to do good things in the world and extend a hand down to those who need it, which shows up in her role as a healer, a role she is very much happy with.

What Perlita is much less clear about is to what extent she can express herself, and what she even wants to express, thanks to a pretty big fear of getting judged by other people for it. Consequently, while she does have a playful side to her that appears in private every now and again, she has a tendency to be nervous and stiff in public, and tends to get jammed up when emotional. However, this hesitance disappears when genuine evil is on display, and she is increasingly aware of (if uncomfortable about) her problems.

Perks: MAG-Oriented: Perlita's Persona, Crawford, represents an aspect of her method of problem-solving in the way it is composed. Perlita has never quite thought in terms of physical force, and though she CAN be surprisingly ardent on things, usually it is an expression of her mind and soul through which she does so. Accordingly her Persona is magically strong. +1 SYN per level.

Judgement Arcana: Perlita's Arcana is that of the Judgement Arcana -- representing a journey to self-awareness, becoming the person that she truly has the potential to be. As she goes along this journey, she will blossom not only as a human being, but as a member of the forces saving the multiverse, and skillset will reflect this. Specifically when Perlita rolls a trick, she can take the best of two rolls.

Altruism: Perlita is a genuinely selfless and dedicated person in many respects, for all the trouble that sometimes brings, and that means that she pours all of her heart and soul into her healing... and a Persona is, after all, a reflection of the heart and soul. Whenever Perlita uses a move that heals or removes an ailment, her target (with multiheals excepted) gains an addition [SYN] HP in addition to whatever they would have received.

Better to Give than to Get: For all of her insecurities, one thing Perlita is always sure of that it is her place in the world to do the right thing, for the sake of other people. Paradoxically, however, as this is one of the strongest metaphorical rocks she has to hold onto, Perlita gains strength from it, personally and to a degree even magically, as her healing restores her too. Whenever Perlita uses a move that heals or removes an ailment, she gains an addition [SYN] HP as well.

Flaw: Psi Weakness: Most every Persona has a weakness, and Crawford is no exception, being weak to attacks of the Psi element -- or attacks that are close enough, thanks to a crippling fear of judgement reflecting itself within her Persona. Perlita takes double damage from mental attacks.

Actions:
Diarama (Level 7): With a flash of her glitzy Persona, Perlita casts one of her two direct healing spells, sending a burst of potent and focused healing energy to diffuse through someone’s being, which mostly just presents itself as a pink glow. Perlita heals 7d4+SYN health for a single target.

In a lot of ways it looks similar to her other healing spell, simply causing a fainter pink glow of healing energy to surround more people, but it requires a longer exposure of her Persona and is harder to channel — she’s splitting her efforts, after all. Perlita heals 3d4+SYN damage for four targets. 1 turn cooldown.

Level 2: Upgraded from two targets to three targets.
Level 3: Upgraded from three targets to four targets.
Level 4: Upgraded from SYN healing to 1d4+SYN healing.

Me Patra (Level 3): Perlita summons Crawford and casts a spell which showers the target in bright sparkles of a turquoise color. These sparkles are the visual signs of a spell that can soothe burns, purge illnesses, and calm down unnaturally troubled minds... or maybe multiple at once.  Perlita heals all of up to two targets’ ailments, with one turn of cooldown for each target beyond the first.

Level 2: Upgraded from removing one ailment from the target to removing all ailments from them.
Level 3: Upgraded to applying to two targets — but for each target beyond the first, she incurs a turn of cooldown.


Kouha (Level 2): Perlita calls forth her Persona, and does something a little out of her usual repertoire with it: she slings a simple bolt of light at the opponent, which sears them more spiritually or perhaps in energy than physically, but harming them nonetheless. Perlita deals 2d6+SYN light damage to the opponent.

Level 2: Upgraded from 1d6+SYN to  2d6+SYN light damage to the opponent.

Hama (Level 2): Perlita summons Crawford and performs a more esoteric attack. She envelops the opponent in a glaring sphere of light containing words inscripted upon the inside, which remains for a couple of seconds, at which point the ability’s unreliable magic kicks in, either doing a great amount or not much at all. Does SYN light damage, but with a 30% *2 crit chance.
Level 3: Deals 1d4+SYN light damage, but with a 30% *2 crit chance.

Through the Bonds of Camaraderie (Trick): As a member of a specific group of people in Roswell with Personas, Perlita shares a unique bond with them, and pulls on ephemeral threads representing these bonds visible only to Persona-users to invoke Crawford. Turns out she can send something across this thread, too. Perlita can choose to have “once per plot” beneficial items affect Gabriel instead of herself.

Celestial Retribution(Trick):  A blessing for help in a time of need from the Goddess Candidate of Planeptune. 
If an ally would be attacked while at critical HP Perlita may negate the attack as a free action, her next action is made with first strike.  Cooldown 5.
Level 1: If an ally would be attacked while at critical HP Perlita may negate the attack instead of taking her action, Cooldown 4.
Level 2: Perlita makes this negation as a free action.
Level 3: Perlita's next action is made with First Strike, +1 Cooldown.

Equipment:

Aluminum Crossbow: A light and easily portable crossbow with a chassis made of aluminum, this thing isn’t very powerful because it wasn’t actually made for combat so much as recreational purposes. It’s still a crossbow, though. 1d4+DEX damage.

Dark Jacket [Level 3]: A jacket that looks dark as night, and in fact is just short of being painfully dark to look at — a scant few steps from vantablack, in other words. It’s Perlita’s most potent possession, bringing out her Persona’s darkness resistance and resisting sleep magic. 20% resistance to darkness attacks, and a 40% chance of resistance to specifically sleep ailments.

Level 2: Gain 20% chance of resistance to sleep ailments.
Level 3: Upgrade that to a 40% chance of resisting sleep ailments.

Effort Choker: A little black and white choker which embodies focus and pushing oneself hard, letting an occasional spell be strengthened but taking some serious effort in the process. Once a plot, Perlita can add [SYN] to a single target heal or attack, but at the cost of adding 2 turns of cooldown to it.

Circulation Sash: A light blue colored sash that is worn under Perlita’s dress and as such isn’t really visible. It keeps Perlita’s circulation and movement clear and uninhibited, but only insomuch as preventing a severe shock every one in a while, after which it takes a while to realign itself. Once per plot, can be used to break a stun on Perlita.

Symbol of Lumabella: A holy item in the shape of a stylized bow in a beam of sunlight. While Perlita may be both Catholic and fairly religious, her background as a Persona-user means she isn't squeamish about other religion and mythology. Can be activated as a free action once per battle to cause the user's ally-targeting actions to remove a single debuff from allies for the round. If said action already removes debuffs, it will instead heal them by user SYN/2.

Class: Magra Knight

Appearance: Generally, Mira takes the appearance of a 6’5” goliath covered head-to-toe in battered, dark grey armor, almost resembling Sauron from Lord of the Rings, just without the spikes on her helmet and blood red eyes underneath the helmet’s visor. In addition to this, she appears to wear a long, grey cape that seems to generate a constant flow of shadowy mist from the end of it, however, this is just a flow of Magra giving her this appearance, and it is almost never around during a battle due to her wanting to conserve Magra. Due to her armor, size, and the fact that her voice is incredibly deepened and distorted (yet still understandable), Mira is generally mistaken for a male.

In reality, Mira is only 5’2” (she only appears 6’5” due to Magra), with a white complexion, black eyes, and generally smoothed out short black hair that goes down to her neck. She is almost never seen without her armor, but if she does go without it she generally wears whatever casual clothing she can find.

In battle, Mira rids herself of her normal attempts of intimidation and ‘coolness’ (namely, her altered height and shadow-cape) and sticks with her normal armor, the normal red eyes that are visible underneath her helmet vanish, leaving nothing but blackness underneath her helmet.

Personality: Mira, at  first glance, seems to try as hard as she can to be intimidating. When meeting new people, she generally greets them in her main appearance, the armored giant, and speaks simply, often getting to the point and avoiding more personal conversation.

However, truthfully, she is just an extremely antisocial person due to never having the reasoning to talk to people. Due to her history of acting as a lone wolf, she can be incredibly stubborn, and at times insensitive about certain topics due to not having to deal with them in her normal life. Her trust is very, very slow to gain, but when it is achieved she nearly does a complete 180 of her normal demeanor, changing from cold and distant to someone much more warmer and welcoming.
 

Perks:

Magra
Mira specializes in using an energy she creates inside of her called Magra, which she specifically uses for attacks. She always starts with at least 1 Magra unless specified otherwise, but can carry over Magra from a previous fight if it was higher than 1, and can have a maximum of 8 Magra. At the end of each turn, Mira gains 2 Magra.

Full Moon Arts
Mira’s personal style, the Full Moon style, specializes in using Magra for extra powerful attacks for varying situations. Specifically, this perk gives Mira access to the action “Shattered Moon: Eclipse”.

Growing Power
While Mira's prototype generator is flawed and not as powerful and others, it is still something that is growing in efficiency. Mira gains +1 SYN every level.

Rending Combination
Due to years of training and mastering of her own internal power, Mira both knows and is capable of using her talents in quick succession. Mira can use up to two separate Magra costing actions per turn.

Unstable (Flaw)
Mira is the carrier of the prototype Magra generator, which can become unstable if met with other instances of magic. Any magic attack that connects with Mira deals 50% more damage.

Magra Generator: Mira’s heart is a generator, one that creates energy known as Magra, which is something Mira can use as an offensive tool. Every two turns, Mira gains 1 extra Magra.
- Level 1: Every four turns, Mira gains one extra Magra.
- Level 2: Decreased to one Magra every three turns.
- Level 3: Decreased to one Magra every two turns. This frequency cannot be increased further.

Cell Repair: Mira uses some of her Magra to accelerate her healing process than what is considered normal. Heals herself for 3d6+Syn outright, and can use up to eight Magra to add 1d6 to the heal each, or cleanse a debuff.
- Requires 1 Magra minimum

- Level 4: This action now has priority, activating before other (non-priority) actions.

Half Moon: Crescent Slash: Mira drags her weapon through the ground, then slashes upwards, sending both parts of the ground and a wave of Magra out towards the enemy. Deals (Equipment Damage+4d6) damage to a single target.
- Requires 4 Magra
- Level 1: Mira deals (Equipment Damage+3d6) damage to a single target.
- Level 2: Extra damage increased by 1d6.


 Full Moon: Restriction Release: Mira puts her Magra generator into overdrive. When activated, this action gives Mira unlimited Magra for 4 turns, but locks up Shattered Moon: Eclipse. After 4 turns, the effect wears off and Mira is unable to generate Magra for two turns.
- Requires 8 Magra
- Level 1: After activation, Mira is capable of using Magra indefinitely for 4 turns. However, during this time, Shattered Moon: Eclipse is completely locked. After 4 turns, Mira is incapable of generating Magra for 2 turns, but immediately regenerates Magra at the end of the 2nd turn cooldown. If the battle ends before Full Moon: Restriction Release is finished, Mira will start the next battle with only one Magra.
- If Cell Repair is used during Full Moon: Restriction Release, it is treated as if Mira had only four Magra available.


(Perk Backed) Shattered Moon: Eclipse: Focusing all of her currently generated Magra and then some, Mira punches the ground and forces all of her Magra into it, causing a massive explosion of darkness to erupt from her. With this action, she can deal either (2[Weapon Dice]+Syn)x1.1 damage to 4 targets, or 4([Weapon Dice]+Syn)x1.1 to a single target, and targets are unable to dodge. However, after it is used, Mira is unable to generate Magra for the remainder of the battle.
- Requires 8 Magra
- Level 1: Mira deals 2[W]+Syn damage to up to 4 separate enemies, or 4[W]+Syn to a single target. However, after this action is used, Mira is unable to regenerate Magra for the remainder of the battle, effectively becoming locked out of most of her actions.

Appearance: Standing at 5’7” with pale skin, red eyes, surprisingly athletic physique, and platinum blonde hair tied in a long ponytail, Osada is clearly an oddity when it comes to being human. This extends to his outfit as well, being an elaborately designed red kimono with floral prints of various color and black edges, padded black gloves, a belt built into his kimono’s sash to hold his sheathes, and a pair of geta.

Personality: Carefree, lively, optimistic, and dignified, Osada is a man who simply wishes to live life to its fullest. Taking most events in stride, he prefers to let his emotions speak, rather than what is “good or bad”, although he does possess a strong sense of justice. In part to this, Osada is very flippant when it comes to death and killing, seeing both as parts of life, rather than something to be obsessed over.

Niten Ichi-ryū: Musashi’s sword style, utilizing two blades at once. While reducing the power of each blow, this form allowed Musashi to strike rapidly and without pause.
Every attack Osada makes hits twice at 60% damage.

Empyrean Eye (Level 2): A Heavenly Eye skill that allows the user to “Accomplish an objective”. Once an end result is decided, the user will put all of their being into accomplishing that one goal, turning infinite futures into a single result. For Miyamoto Musashi, this skill manifested primarily to be able to ensure a cut without anything pointless.
Osada ignores all forms of invincibilities (including dodges), and can choose to activate this perk to deal 5% of their maximum HP as damage to himself for each negative effect on him (debuffs or CC), and ignore those effects for one turn.

Void: A state of nothingness that all swordsmen seek to attain; an element with no equal. The essence of what made Musashi a legend amongst the world.
Osada gains Charge for every attack that lands, gaining 15 Charge from every attack of theirs, and 5 Charge from attacks that they take, up to a maximum of 100 Charge. Also grants the “Kurikara Tenshou” action.

(Flaw) Low Energy: Demi-Servant or not, Osada is nothing more than a specialized Homunculi. As such, his actual physical state is… Less than ideal.
Stuns against Osada last for two turns, instead of one.

Fifth Form: A short combo that allows Osada to strike four times, overwhelming their foes with heavy pressure. Make two Equipment attacks. 2 turn cooldown.

Nothingness (C): The highest mental state a swordmaster can achieve. In life, Miyamoto Musashi mastered the art of becoming “Empty”, thus becoming invincible. However, Osada himself can only achieve the mental state thanks to the skill, and only in short bursts.
Nullifies all damage & debuffs towards Osada for one round. When used, this action will prioritize itself to the top of the initiative. 5 round cooldown.

After being inflicted with a stun, Osada can automatically activate this action to become untargetable for the stun’s duration, additionally healing [Level*5] HP during the first turn. Can only be used once per combat. Additionally, Battle Continuation (EX) will swap itself out for Oar of Ganryujima after being used.

Kanshou & Byakuya: A pair of japanese styled swords custom made for Osada, bearing resemblance to classical katanas, magically forged and heavily reinforced to ensure they do not break. Appearance:  It's a crow!  Only a huge one, being about half the mass of an eagle.  So still small, while being big enough to manipulate most human-sized objects like books.  It also leaves random black feathers everywhere it goes.
Personality:  A frightfully intelligent bird, Newton lived out its life as a very successful crow, and rose after death due to anger at being killed by a random wizard for some minor purpose.. accident or sport.  As such, Newton decided to become smart to show the wizard what for.

Is still very interested in what drove it as a bird, so enjoys flying around and stealing various unattended shiny objects.  Is naturally curious, and enjoys travelling to new places and seeing new things.  Very bold and audacious (for a crow, not the bravest of animals), as it survived death once, so what is worrysome about risking its life?

Perk: Revenant.  For purposes of saves and other opposed checks ONLY, Bird is considered to have [level] strength and [level] constitution, because its body is really sustained by willpower alone.

Perk: Shiny!  Character's inventory, in addition to equipment, may contain 'baubles', which are shiny items with no abilities and 2 weight.  These only take up half a slot in inventory.  In addition, one debuffing action may be labelled with Shiny!  If a creature dies with the shiny debuff still in effect, one bauble may be gained from that creature dying.  All baubles must be returned to the nest area after each return to base, and no baubles may be taken out of the nest.

Perk: Powered by Shiny!.  Baubles also empower the black energy which creates Newton's body.  HP and Temporary HP are increased by 10% for each bauble equipped.  Newton gets [level x2] HP for each bauble equipped.  Newton can start a plot with up to 2 baubles from his hoard equipped.  Newton does not get a base HP stat.

Actions:

Yoink!  (Shiny!)  Active.  Creates a bauble for 3 turns, putting one enemy action on cooldown for three turns.  If the enemy is killed during this duration, the bauble is added to Newton's inventory.  One turn cooldown.

Newton flits towards and opponent and shrouds itself in a black magical energy.  It then darts inwards and slashes at a target with immaterial black talons created by the shroud of black energy.

As Yoink! is currently labelled by the Shiny! perk, upon doing so, a cluster of bright energy is 'torn' away by the attack.  This takes physical form in the shape of a shiny bauble that floats around the target.  The bauble will float around the target until the ability yoinked returns from cooldown, or the target is killed, in which case Newton may add the bauble to his inventory.

Level 1:  Remove any currently running instances of Yoink! on the target.  The crow may "steal" an enemy action that was used last turn, materializing it into a shiny bauble that floats around the target for two turns.  This ability is put on cooldown, or has it's already-running cooldown increased by two turns, even if it doesn't normally have a cooldown.  One turn cooldown.
Level 2:  Can target the action used last turn, or a random one in a chosen category of actions.  (offensive, defensive, support, or item.)
Level 3:  Cooldown inflicted increased to 3 turns.
Level 4:  Can target any known action, or one of the above category choices.
Level 6:  Cooldown reduced to 0 turns.

Harass.  Active.  Protects two allies of Newton's choice, possibly including himself from the next two attacks on each target.  Absorbs [Dexterity + 2/3 Intelligence] damage from each attack.  This effect only lasts the turn it is used.  One turn cooldown.

Newton flies around a number of allies, and creates sort of a black field behind him that absorbs damage from incoming attacks.  Affects any two allies, possibly including himself.  Absorbs [Dexterity] from the next attack on each ally, lasting this turn only.

Level 3:  Reduction increased to [Dexterity + Intelligence/3]

Name: Hibiki Nagano A.K.A. “Kamen Rider Fable”

Class: Masked Rider
Untransformed Appearance: A pale skinned woman of above average height with an athletic build. Hibiki keeps her black hair in a pixie cut out of convenience more than anything else. And her deep set eyes are colored a vibrant green. Her eyes, the faint impression of a snub nose, and her pointed lips serving as the most noticeable features not hidden underneath the black balaclava she often wears.

She wears a skin tight grayish ‘space’ suit that covers everything from the neck down, save for the metallic collar of sorts that she uses to lock her helmet into place when needed. A small console on her left wrist supposedly serves as one of the backup controls of the suit’s limited systems. And she has taken to wearing a black trench coat over the ensemble, more out of modesty than an actual need for additional warmth.

A peculiar belt made out of an odd black material is wrapped around her waist, and it is adorned by a light gray belt buckle in the shape of a shark’s gaping maw. A pair of gray containers rests on opposite sides of the belt, with a small console beside each container that displays two completely unmarked buttons each. She wears an odd looking backpack with her everywhere that contains her helmet, two gold colored metal gauntlets, and two equally golden forearm bracers. Her sturdy looking boots are colored the same golden color.

Transformation Sequence: Hibiki stops in place before she shifts into a surprisingly relaxed pose, with one hand resting on her waist, and the other raised up to point a finger gun at her target. She then mimes herself firing a single shot, before she simply states “Henshin,” in a low voice, and presses the four buttons on the sides of her ‘Vital Driver’. The command causing her backpack to unfold into a dark gray mist of shark-plate that conveniently obscures her from view as it assembles itself on her body, and helps her quickly slip on her helmet, bracers, and gauntlets.

Transformed Appearance: Surprisingly enough, Hibiki’s actual appearance as Kamen Rider Fable changes very little in comparison. The most distinct change being the ‘sudden’ appearance of her helmet, an excessively customized milnoplated construction.

The helmet is colored a steely gray at the top, although it fades into an almost silvery gray right at the point where her mouth would be. Two large and rounded dark green tinted bug eye lenses are prominently displayed where her eyes and upper face would be, allowing Hibiki a clear line of sight when the milnoplate covering it is retracted. A shark’s toothy maw decorates the lower part of her helmet, distracting from the faintly noticeable seal and motors allowing it to slowly slide open and reveal her mouth.  Her helmet itself has five cameras, three arranged in a small pyramid on her forehead, in the empty space between the lenses, and two on opposite sides of her upper jaw. And three completely unnecessary dark gray shark ‘fins’ jut out from the top of her helmet, one ‘dorsal’ fin on the very center, and two shorter ones protruding from where her temples would be.

Outside of helping her don her helmet, her ‘rider belt’ also unfolds, consuming the backpack she was wearing in order to cover her mechanical counter pressure suit in rough, dark gray shark-plate mounted on an eerily flesh like suit of muscle and tissue. The suit itself provides light weight and regenerating protection against small arms, and laser fire. And the sculpted abs and chest plating looks rather cool if nothing else. She still dons her trench coat over this whole ensemble, again more out of modesty than anything else.

Last but not least, a pair of golden gauntlets are worn on both of her hands. Tiny bolts of lighting sometimes crackle outwards from the gauntlet’s fingers, and a matching pair of golden bracers are worn over both arms. Her durable boots are still colored the same gold.

Personality: Neither a saint nor a sinner, Hibiki is someone who has firmly clung onto her adopted mantle of the justice seeking “Kamen Rider” as an attempt to retain some purpose in life, after finding herself feeling lost and aimless in the months after the revolution’s end. Because why should she return to being the boring old tax evading accountant she was before it all, when her new skills, and her greatly enhanced body demanded something more than a humble attempt at a life of peace. Especially when it’s so much more fun to live out her wildest fantasies this way. After all, who doesn’t want to be a hero? Again, and again, and again.

Hero Of Justice?: Well, she’s got the spirit at least. +1 Constitution Per Level.

Vital Driver: Hibiki claims that her transformation device, the Vital Driver, grants her the power to regenerate from almost any wound. The fact that the power works even outside of her transformation, and the fact that it requires a consistent supply of calories to use is rarely mentioned. 10% HP regen each round.
Ramp: The user has +1 effective level, and starting the second round of combat gains +1 effective level every other round.  Effective level gained during combat only modifies actions and equipment.

Ginnungagap: The human body, even a greatly enhanced one, was not designed to endure the sort of strain Hibiki puts herself through on a regular basis, and as powerful as her Vital Driver is, it cannot create matter from nothing. Hibiki has an additional "Calorie" meter that starts equal to their CON. Whenever Hibiki uses an action that deals self damage, or her Vital Driver perk activates, they lose 1/10th of the amount healed or the total damage dealt to themselves (rounded down but minimum 1) from the meter. They lose the ability to act when this gauge is empty. Debuff cleanses restore Calories equal to the number of debuffs they would normally remove. The Calorie gauge refills after each battle.

Triumph of Will:  Despite her shortcomings Hibiki seems to always prevail over her enemies in the end.
Hibiki gains the Triumph buff for two rounds.  Enemies that attack Hibiki while Triumph is active suffer one instance of Vulnerable, increasing the damage they take next time they’re attacked by 10%.  Cooldown 3.

Appearance: A tall human figure, made out of stark white porcelain. Delicate florial designs decorate its surface, and its body is slim and graceful. The head of the construct is rendered with an androgynous face and wavy lines suggestive of hair, though it lacks any kind of special coloring. Eyes and other details are detailed with some subtle colours but are otherwise as immovable as the rest of the head. Despite that it can still see through its eyes and listen through its ears, due to the magic enchanting it. The various parts of the kugutsu are connected with ball joints, giving it a much wider range of motion than a human body. Its hands and feet also diverge slightly from a human's, with extra digits and a wider spacing to give it exceptional grip and dexterity.

Hovering around the kugutsu is its soul, which manifests as a kite-like bird of prey with stark black coloring. It cannot move very far from its body, but it acts as a second set of eyes and ears for the construct. More importantly it possesses a voice which the kugutsu otherwise lacks, even if it is a little croaky. Most people find it more comfortable to talk to the bird of prey than the unblinking eyes its porcelain body possesses.
Personality: While Kyou tries to be polite, efficient and focused on the task at hand, it is still grappling with new sensations it had never experienced for. It is thus easily distracted and a little scatter-brained. Kyou's bird soul is especially affected since it reflects its innermost heart and thus is exceptionally flighty. Onlookers may thus assume that the kugutsu's body and soul are in fact two separate beings, given how often the porcelain doll forcefully closes the bird's beak.

In battle they fight unarmoured, relying on their ancient training and magic powers to keep themselves safe. While much can still be learned and understood, Kyou has been granted enough of their skills to dodge incoming attacks with almost supernatural intuition.

This long, two-handed katana has a green tinge to its metal. Its hamon is sinewous and shifts slightly over the course of hours. Being originally developed by the kabutomushi yamahahas, it has been enchanted with a poisonous nature. Anyone living who is touched by its blade will feel themselves weaken and grown sluggish as the corrupting magics affect them. Since Kyou is made out of porcelain, its enchantment does not affect it and it can wield the katana without concern.

Current Effect: 3d4 + DEX damage. On a successful attack, living targets roll two less dice when dealing damage for their next turn.

Appearance: Rory stands at 5’ 9’’. He’s quite bulky, being full of muscle from carrying around his equipment and the normal exertion of his job. Some would expect him to be tanned due to working outside all the time, but his skin is only slightly on the darker side of caucasian. He does appear to be somewhat darker due to his being fairly hairy, with it growing thickly along his arms, legs, and chest. He keeps his facial hair in control, giving him stubble along his cheeks and chin. The hair on his head is combed back into a style that would distantly remind one of a Lion’s mane, the brown mass ending with his neck. Three scars go from his forehead to a few inches under his brown eye, the shape calling to mind that of an animal’s attack. One would be forgiven for thinking he’s human as he doesn’t have any visible indication of his faunus heritage until he opens his mouth, in which case his snake like tongue would be on full display.

Appearance: Daniel stands at six feet and some inches tall, with a body shape that can be best described as practically muscled. For an outfit he wears black jeans, fastened by a black leather belt. His shirt is black with an anarchy symbol on the front in red. Over this he wears a jean jacket adorned with various patches from what are presumably rock bands. His hair is short and black. When going on missions he wears a black mask, designed to resemble the face of an angry demon in black with specks of red randomly distributed about to resemble blood of course. In direct contrast, his partner is his opposite in almost every way. She’s quite short, being five feet tall, with long blonde hair. They’re lithe, with a flat chest and arms on the thinner side, though one could say she makes up for this by with her lower half, their thighs and bottom being delightfully thick and her hips being fairly wide and feminine. Her outfit consists of white tights that go up under her frilly black skirt. Her top is a pink t-shirt that has pastel flowers starting at the bottom and thinning out as the shirt goes up. She has a jean jacket to match Daniel’s. Hidden in a pocket is a sheath containing a Bayonet, which Joan can attach in her weapon form.
Personality: Daniel is fairly calm and collected, but confident in his abilities as a meister. He has no interest in fighting anyone that isn’t at 100% if he can help it. Joan however, is cocky, hot blooded, and constantly itching to fight at any chance, especially if the prospect of a kishin egg is included. She’s normally the one who drags Daniel into finishing their fights.

Appearance: Jack looks like a mostly-normal human, if all you saw was his silhouette. A little tall, a little skinny, but all inside normal bounds. He even wears pretty mundane - if fancy - clothes, mostly black and white with some reds and blue scattered through. However, his skin is noticeably a pale blue like deep ice, his hair is snow-white, and his eyes are "frosted over", with the place where the pupils should be mixing in with the pale blue of his iris. Snowflakes drift off of him as he moves.
Personality: Jack's pretty friendly and (ahem) chill, mostly just enjoying where life takes him and being happy to take chances (so long as they don't just seem like dumb risks). Ultimately, much of Jack's drive comes from wanderlust and curiosity, wanting to explore and discover as much as he can.

Appearance: A short, hairy man with a wide, stocky build, Utzi's Neanderthal ancestry is pretty clear if you know what you're looking for. Utzi's olive skin is covered with scars from battles of the distant past, and his gruff, stoic face very rarely has a smile adorning it. Utzi is typically dressed for colder weather, wearing a  mammoth pelt cloak and several layers of leather clothing underneath. Wherever Utzi goes, his breath is always visible, as if he is always cold. Utzi also sports a bushy, wild beard, and eyes that constantly seem shadowed by lack of sleep. He carries with him an Atl-atl and several spears in his standard kit.

Personality: Utzi is a serious man, not prone to making jokes. He is not very prone to panicking, and tends to view all dangerous situations with a level-headed determination to win and get out alive. Despite his hardened demeanor, Utzi does appreciate the company of others, and will usually use shared mealtimes as a way to connect with other people, as he doesn't truly get the appeal of almost any other group activity. Utzi doesn’t understand much of what is happening around him, and is not afraid to ask questions, should he not understand what is going on.

Perks
Paleosmarts: Utzi doesn’t have much in the way of formal education, but surviving in the megafauna-filled wilds for so long has given him insights into certain things. Utzi can use his Constitution instead of intelligence for the purposes of crafting checks using stone age techniques and technology.

Permafrost Level 2: Utzi doesn’t really feel… warmth anymore. It’s been so long that he can’t even dredge up the memory of the sun on his skin.
Utzi is immune to fire, heat, ice, and cold based damage.

Built Like They Used To: Utzi is a from a time before all these modern nick-knacks and medical advancements made living easy and lavish. He never would’ve survived if he wasn’t tough. Utzi has no constitution stat cap.

Flaw:
Frozen Soul: Ice permeates every fiber of Utzi's being. Everything he does, he does with an unnatural chill filling him to his bones. Utzi cannot learn magic, or sufficiently magic-like effects, except for ice magic. Foes that resist ice resist all of Utzi's attacks, regardless of how effective they would be otherwise. Additionally, Utzi is vulnerable to attacks on his immobile, unchanging soul, and rolls twice to resist any soul-based status effects made by an enemy, taking the worse result.

Skillful Toss:
A practiced throw of an Atl-atl, perfectly suited for hitting the vitals of large targets..
Deals 2d6 + Dex to 1 target. If used against an animal weighing over 1000 pounds, instead deals damage equal to 2d8 + Dex + Str.
Level 2: Deals 3d6 + Dex against most targets. Deals 3d8 + Dex + Str against animals over 1000 pounds.
Level 3: Deals 3d8 + Dex against most targets. Deals 3d10 + Dex + Str against animals over 1000 Pounds.
Level 4: Deals 4d8 + Dex against most targets. Deals 4d10 + Dex + Str against animals over 1000 pounds.

Sometimes we all need to wait for things to cool off.
Target 1 willing ally below 15% health. They are encased in ice to preserve and protect them. They gain a shield of ice that provides temporary HP equal to Utzi’s Level x2 + Syn. Damage from the attack that breaks the shield does not go on to damage the protected ally. The ally cannot take any actions that require movement while frozen. This shield instantly melts if exposed to a heat source such as an open flame.
Level 2: Target is 1 willing ally below 20% health.

Current Effect: Target 1 willing ally below 20% health. They are encased in ice that takes all incoming sources of damage for them, with a temporary hp equal to Utzi’s level x2 + Syn (19 Temp HP, currently). Damage that destroys the ice shield does not carry over to the ally being protected by it. Exposure to a heat source, such as an open flame, instantly destroys this shield. The ally cannot take actions that require their movement while it is up.

Yes. It's....a very large game that also formerly had a subforum on the original forum it was part of. Confining it to a single thread would result in interminable amounts of interactions getting in the way of everyone else's due to sheer scale.

I don't actually like being this obtrusive without need. Trespassers is enormous; we're approaching 20 players with the new submissions and each player has or can eventually have two or even three characters. Trying to corral sixty characters into a single thread would be nightmarish.

Speaking of new submissions, I will review sheets later today when I get the chance. A reminder that you must be on the Discord to play, that's where most of the game discussion (including balance) is located, as well as crafting.

Appearance: Gabriel stands at around 6'0", an inheritance from his father. He has a decently athletic build, not the build of a regular athlete but closer to a boy who participates in the occasional game of basketball. His eyes are a deep brown and his features are, like Gabriel himself, best described as Eurasian, any determination of his ancestry further muddied by his tanned skin. He often walks around with short, messy auburn hair, generally dressed in black polo shirts and jeans with a navy blue vest he wears open, revealing the red lining within and giving off a casual air in line with the boy wearing it.
 
Gabriel's Persona, Oppenheimer, appears in the form of a humanoid scaled up to around eight feet tall, its pale red upper body exposed with the build of a lightweight boxer. The head is odd-looking; the crown is flat, with two triangular shapes akin to cat ears on either side of the head. The entire face is replaced by a single, oval and opaque visor, a stylized animation of the hydrogen atom constantly revolving upon it. Its arms are bandaged in white boxer's tape and black leather straps, leaving only its fingers and thumbs exposed. The lower half of the body is suited in the lower half of a black business suit, pants, shoes and all. Oppenheimer's inhuman visage and its synchronicity with Gabriel's movement reveal its nature as the manifestation of his psyche, rather than a being in its own.

Personality: Gabriel seems rather laidback and calm, coming off as rather loose and relaxed. This, however, is but a first impression that quickly evaporates; though genuinely a relaxed and laidback person, Gabriel is quite full of energy and niceness to spread about, always with a word of encouragement ready and a pat on the back to help you get on the road. Quick to help and slow to judge, Gabriel often thinks the best of people, even when proven wrong time and time again, and does his best to help the helpless. Gabriel is very difficult to put down in any way; nothing seems to stop his relentless cheer for too long as he pulls himself up- and anyone else nearby he can. Indeed, very rarely can one get an expression aside from 'relaxed' or 'happy' on his face; 'anger', 'sadness' and 'fear' seem to be wholly absent from his emotional repertoire.

What worries Gabriel, however, is the world around him; a world that threatens to bear down upon him with the weight of its woes. Though presenting the face of a carefree boy with all the cheer to share and mostly living up to it, the cheer sometimes fades, replaced with concern; concern that, for all of his happiness and the willingness to share, it sometimes won't be enough, and that to believe the best of people is, as some say, a fools' errand, better left to characters of fiction than people like Gabriel who live in the 'real world'. Consequently, he may seem overeager to help others, in an attempt to prove to himself that his approach really works, and that working for the best in people is not a lost cause despite the world around him trying to prove otherwise.

Sun Arcana: Gabriel's Persona is of the Sun Arcana, the searing light that burns all who are revealed to it. Nuclear and fire attacks used by Gabriel inflict a burn on the opponent, dealing SYN/2 piercing damage for three turns, each subsequent nuclear or fire attack adding an extra stack of burn. Enemies who resist radiation and fire cannot be affected by Sun Arcana's effect.
Beat of My Blood: Any Frei-line skills (including his basic attacks) upon enemies with Burn, Shock or Frozen statuses (or any analogues) deals x1.3 damage. Sun Arcana's effects qualify as Burns for Beat of My Blood.
Optimism: Even the worst kinds of situations can't bring a downer onto Gabriel's easygoing attitude. As the Persona is a reflection of the soul, Oppenheimer reflects Gabriel's unyielding optimism. Ailments have halved durations on Gabriel.

Through the Bonds of Camaraderie (Trick): Gabriel can choose to have “once per plot” beneficial items affect Perlita instead of himself.

Throwing Axes: A pair of hatchets that happen to be well balanced for throwing. Not particularly sharp or dangerous, but they're there. 1d4+DEX damage.

Blue Jacket: A blue bomber jacket gained from fighting Shadows. It amplifies Gabriel's natural resistance to radiation, along with a few nifty bonuses. 20% resistance to radiation attacks, and a 40% resistance to specifically heat-based ailments.

-Level 3: 40% chance of resisting heat-based ailments.

Effort Bracelet: A little black and white bracelet which embodies focus and pushing oneself hard, letting an occasional spell be strengthened but taking some serious effort in the process. Once a plot, Gabriel can add [SYN] to the damage of an attack, but at the cost of adding 2 turns of cooldown to it.

Appearance: Empi, when not using fairy glamour, appears naturally as a woman in her early 20s, standing around five feet tall. Her vivid red hair is tied into two ponytails, one on each side, but otherwise seems unkempt, as if in a constant state of having woken up, contrasting with her vivid green eyes. Her clothing is fit for a love fairy, consisting of a red velvet leotard, backless to allow her translucent white wings to be free, conforming to her slim, feminine shape. A black bow is tied across the top of the dress, just covering the cleavage across her large chest that would otherwise be exposed by the low-cut dress. Under her waist, only a dangerously short green skirt hides what would be her underwear, and the rest is unadorned; Empi, as a matter of course, tends to go barefoot. A faintly alluring aura exudes from her- a side effect of her status as a love fairy- drawing the gaze of those tending towards the female gender towards her, but no more. Empi is capable of using glamour to assume a form amenable to communication with average people- or for other, more personal purposes-, which for all intents and purposes is the same as she appears as normal, albeit taller and with an even larger chest, along with more modest, modern clothing. In this form, Empi goes by ‘Emmy’ or ‘Emi’, depending on who asks or who she’s speaking to.

Personality: Empi is an inherently benevolent soul, as her job focuses on helping those unlucky in love to amend their loneliness. She has a genuine urge to help people be the best they can, even if her definition of ‘best’ is ‘most attractive lover’, and can come off as sweet at times. However, benevolence and charity does not equate to a lack of backbone; indeed, Empi’s tongue can be sharp and her temperament mercurial, fitting for a veteran love fairy who has often dealt with lost causes or people arrogant enough to believe themselves her superior. She is hasty to let her thoughts and feelings be known; if someone acts in a manner she finds to be worthy of criticism, Empi’s sharp tongue will come swiftly and conversely, if someone does something worthy of praise, her praise comes even swifter. Of course, as expected of a fairy attuned to love, Empi’s hunger for “certain things” is high, seeming almost insatiable. Her appreciation for attractive members of both sexes is palpable, in the form of appreciative leers and flirtatious passes; indeed, she can come off almost boorish at times, due to her coarse tongue and open nature. However, her tastes are discerning; centuries of teaching unlucky everymen (and women) how to woo members of their preferred sex have attuned her tastes. Sometimes, of course, she settles for second best; after all, a girl has her needs, and Empi’s needs, for the most part, are always in need of filling. However, when it comes to helping others, Empi’s lust always comes second to the needs of others, and she carries herself with as much professionalism as she is capable when assisting others, whether it be with matters of love or other, more pressing subjects.

Out Of Your League - Empi induces feelings of lust for her in a target that are so strong, the enemy's guard drops as they struggle to avert their eyes; even those not normally attracted to women, fairies or organic beings. The targeted enemy takes 20% increased damage for the next 2 turns. Reusing this attack resets the duration, but does not increase damage taken further. This can only be applied to one enemy at a time, and if applied to a new enemy the original target is no longer affected.

Take It Easy: Fairies are naturals at taking it easy, trying not to get too stressed about their busy lives; Empi, being the teacher she is, imparts such skills upon her teammates. Empi removes a single ailment from the target.

You're Sleeping on the Couch Tonight: Empi executes workplace policy by placing dangerous enemies on "time out". Empi banishes an enemy from the fight for a single turn; the banished enemy cannot be affected by combat actions nor affect combat in any way, but status effects still tick down while the opponent is banished, and returns them to the fight after the turn is used up. Enemies resistant to banishment instead deal 50% reduced damage for the same duration as they would have been banished. Two turn cooldown. The same opponent be banished consecutively.

Appearance: A three foot tall draconic being covered in dark red scales with orange eyes and short horns sticking out of his jawline and head. His face and neck have green warpaint and his claws have a slight curl as they end in a fine tip. Mush is outfitted in tattered green rags that used to be robes and brown leather boots. Around his waist is a notched leather belt with the occasional pouch and a buckle of crude jade carved into a beetle, set with an enchantment. He wields a gnarled wooden staff ending in a bulb covered in small holes and a gem inside.

Personality: Small in stature but feisty in spirit, Mush is a rapid talking intelligent fellow, holding a passion for life and all that it holds as well as a respect for death and the continuous cycle all are a part of. Instilled into him from hatching is a work ethic and instinct for sharing as his race is that of a communal one. He dislikes those taller than him, but buries it under a feigned respect and smile. Mush likes bugs, shinies, interesting smells and fruity sweets, holding a deep love for beetles and mushrooms.

Potential Cultivated: Given the chance to grow beyond, the kobold seized the reins to his life and went through trial and fire to become who he is today as years of intense magical training under the overview of his seniors took its toll. Mush gets + 1 SYN per level.

Swarm Blessed: Lifelong allies found in the smallest of animals, the Entomancers find themselves to be blessed to call the swarms their friends. Grants the Undergrowth action.

A Pact Stands: A state of intense fervor is at the swarm’s disposal when their caster goes through enough bodily harm. The Entomancers use this to their advantage in defeating foes but at their own health’s cost. When Mush’s HP reaches or goes under the half point, he can double the DMG of his Carnivorous Beetle Swarm until his HP goes back up or he gets knocked out.

Flaw:
Draconic Ancestry: Born from the fires of the heavens, the great sovereigns of the sky are regal figures, but the infernos they wield within their maws have always been quenched by the waters of the earth. This elemental weakness has passed. Water/Ice DMG is twice as effective.

Undergrowth [Perk Backed]: A critical spell in an Entomancer’s arsenal where a swarm of their insects are summoned out of their stored object and their appetite is satiated upon the flesh of the enemy.
- Level 1: Carnivorous Beetle Swarm is summoned, with its HP being, + INT times 2 worth of HP of beetles amassing to the swarm per casting. The Swarm’s DMG is SYN + Xd8, X equaling to the swarm’s HP/Mush’s INT stat.

- Level 3: SYN DMG to 4 foes.
- Level 4: SYN + 1d4 DMG.

Carapace: One of the only defensive spells in an Entomancer’s repertoire, the user thumps their staff against the ground and a giant shield beetle materializes on the caster’s arm for protection.
- Level 1: All THP is removed first, the spell then takes effect as THP is added equal to the SYN stat + Mush’s Level.

Dragonflight (Trick): While a kobold without natural wings, Mush can instead unfurl a set of large arcane dragonfly wings from his shoulder blades through intense motions with speed and force.
- Level 1: Can fly, no mechanical benefits in combat.

Staff of the Covenant: A sturdy wooden staff with holes on it’s top, it contains a crystal within.

Appearance: Atypically dresses herself as a nun. garbed in withered, old ceremonial robes with their stark white hue stained with ages of ash and dirt, a heritage from her parents. She has blonde hair and violet eyes, often tied in a braid that runs down her shoulder. She wears an old, weathered friar on her head, and is barefoot.
Personality: Kino is represented by two personalities; one of her own, and one of her deceased sister’s, Enma’s. For the most part, Kino is a solemn and polite kuudere, usually phlegmatic and not showing much emotion, but is capable of feats of kindness, altruism, or compassion. Her sister, Enma, is a fun-loving, eccentric persona, being a mischievous, cunning and jubilant being, wanting more people to join her in her spiritual form, seeing death as "an adventure". Kino and Enma are two separate entities, and the two personalities can interact telepathically.
 
Perks:
 
The Debarred Eulogy: At any point during an encounter, Kino can summon several summoned units in the form of the condemned spirits she harbours within her, mainly the eldritch combination of her sister and their kindred in a single spiritual entity to fight by her side, granting powerful coordinative-based effects whenever the duo work together. Any given summoning causes her sister and her collected souls to be split from Kino’s physical form, costing a portion of Kino’s maximum health, but enabling immediate action in contrast to other summons. TLDR: Required perk for active summoning.
 
Remnant: The ravenous spirits of Kino’s kin take from the dead whatever remains they can find, be it body or soul, fueling their strength. Whenever an enemy is killed or dies during an encounter, Kino’s actions have their cooldown reduced by one and restore Kino’s (and Enma’s, if active) health by SYN. This effect can only happen once per turn.
 
Shepherdess: The given leader and last survivor of her kin, Kino is the one who commands and rallies her army of spirits to battle in unison. Kino’s non-summon damaging abilities gain +1 damage per summon active on the field, with Enma giving +2 damage instead unlike her other summons.

Cycle of Rebirth and Death: Kino’s spirits come in and out of her in a spiritual cycle. Whenever Kino’s summons dies, she recovers SYN/2 health, increased to SYN if Enma dies.
 
Flaws:
 
Unholy Covenant: Kino’s impure pact with her kin deters and rejects all forms of outside influence, even if beneficial. Kino and any of her summons only gain 20% of the maximum healing value from other allied units.

Enma possesses the following qualities:
Base: Enma possesses a base of Level*CON + 5 health, and deals Kino’s 1d6 + INT as her basic attack damage. Enma will immediately die should Kino receive any fatal damage. Enma has +1 INIT over Kino in the initiative order and the two can target separate targets. Enma can attack a target immediately upon being summoned.
 
Pact of the Harrowing (Passive) (5 AP)
While Enma is active on the battlefield, Kino and her summoned kin share mutually beneficial bonus passive effects.
Base: Enma’s Basic Attack applies Entente of Malice onto her target, causing Kino’s next non-summoning damaging action against that target to consume the mark and deal INT/2 bonus damage. This passive effect has a 1 turn cooldown.
Level 2: Kino restores SYN/2 health to herself whenever Entente of Malice is triggered.
Level 3: Kino and Enma restore SYN/2 health respectively whenever Entente of Malice is triggered.
 
Voices of Resentment (2 AP)
This can only be used after Enma has been summoned.  Costing 5 health, Kino splits two individual wraiths and spirits from Enma to act as individual entities called Wraith Howlers. 4 turn cooldown.
 
Wraith Howlers have the qualities below:
Wraith Howlers have INT health and deal 1d6 as their basic attack damage. Wraith Members can attack immediately upon being summoned and share Kino’s INIT.
 
Burial Rites (Active) (3 AP)
Kino unleashes a necromantic blast after chanting her rites with her staff with intent to execute, inflicting 1d6 + INT damage to an enemy. If the targeted enemy is killed on the turn this action is performed, Kino restores health equal to the damage she dealt them.
Level 2: Burial Rites’ damage is increased to 2d6 + INT.
 
Debilitate (Active) (5 AP)
Kino commands a horde of her released spirits to surround and harass an enemy, dealing 3d6 + INT damage and causing the target to deal 10% less damage for two turns. Repetitive uses of Debilitate on the same target refresh the cooldown of the debuff. 3 turn cooldown.
Level 2: Debilitate’s debuff can be refreshed by the rest of Kino or Enma’s non-summoning damaging actions.
Level 3: Debilitate can be applied up to twice onto the same target, with the debuff stacking additively.

Lightning Speed:
Even as a defense focused android, YorHa units such as 6D are fast by nature, and mobility is a major part of combat doctrine. Every third turn, 6D may take an additional action.

Combat Preparation:

Appearance: Liliya is 5'6", with a lithe figure. She is often slouched, and so appears a little shorter than she is. She has brown eyes with thin arched eyebrows, and brown hair, quite common for her part of the world. She wears a brown leather duster and boots. She can often be heard humming an odd tune when she is bored, like a game show theme song.

Personality: Liliya is firmly focused on revenge or attrition for those who kept her from caring for her mother when she was in need. She considers her battle against the trespassers to be training for her eventual revenge, and hopes to perhaps recruit some of the resources she finds into her own struggle. She is quick-tempered towards those she thinks are trying to lecture her, but willing to make casual friendships with those who she feels can help her.
About six years prior, Liliya was still living with her mother, though on rather poor terms. There had been some disagreement about Liliya's occupation. "Some disagreement" may be an understatement...Liliya's mother was vehemently against her daughter "working" as a gang member. In addition to the fact that it was regrettably illegal, her mother was more concerned that it was an unstable situation with only a small and unsteady income. Though Liliya knew her mother cared little about legality, and only about her daughter's well-being, an argument occured anyway. Liliya left the house for a few days, hoping to allow them both to cool down. However, it so happened that she was brought in during this time on multiple charges. Simply a little more time to cool off from the argument, she thought. She began to panic when she was transferred to a cell in another location, and right she was to panic. For seventeen months, she was experimented upon, enhanced. It was torture, but she withstood it. Then one day, those holding her set her loose in the world. She was now more powerful than before: faster, and capable of predicting the patterns of the world with inhuman accuracy.She could effectively see a few seconds into the future at will or when in danger. She returned to her home to find that her mother was dead, presumably from an illness. Furious at the people who had kept her from her mother, she attempted to seek them out. Whether it was through her lack of resources, or because the group had disappeared completely, Liliya found absolutely nothing. Without a visible group to pursue and fight, Liliya lapsed into melancholy and returned to her gang, performing routine crimes without excitement or interest.

In the Earth that Blas comes from, the world was ravaged by nuclear war between the east, represented as the Asian Continental Military Force, and the west, led by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. After 6 years of global war, a massive nuclear strike by both sides led to the direction destruction of most major cities, and the indirect destruction of the rest of the world as chaos erupted, international trade ceased to exist, and invasion forces launched by both sides found themselves marooned in hostile lands. Blas was born after the end of the Last War, knowing little else but the weak civilizations that had been rebuilt in the quarter century since the end of the war. Along with the residents of the Lake Mead Valley, Blas did his best to survive and prosperous in the scrap metal shanty towns and partially reconstructed towns that passed for civilization in this post-apocalyptic society, humans and those few mutants who were considered 'near-human' banding together in militias to defend against the predations of the inherently hostile biomass mutants, and the terrifying spectres of the Malicious and Malevolent Ones that led them. The remaining military forces in the valley often found themselves too busy fighting each other to keep an eye out for the civilians, although local cells of the loosely organized national militia known as the Civilian Defense Force did their best to help wherever they could. As time went on, and the pre-war interstate highway system started to see heavier use as the Reformed States pushed West, trade soon propped up the faltering fortunes of the primary scrap towns of the region. The CDF aligned city of Cliffguard proved to be one of the safest cities in the state, guarded in the shadow of the CDF fortress known simply as 'The Citadel'. Nearby Craterview, closer to the ruins of pre-war Boulder Cove, proved to be more dangerous, but also less restrictive, and soon became home to a thriving 'gray' market.

In all of this, Blas made a living as a prospector, recovering pre-war tech from ruined towns and abandoned industrial facilities and selling it to the highest bidder. His parents made a lesser but more reliable living as tailors in Cliffguard, but Blas chafed under the CDF's restrictive rules (all in the name of public safety, of course) and spent most of his time in the far more exciting Craterview. Being a prospector in Lake Mead was incredibly dangerous, but Blas was particularly well suited for it. His Mi'Qote inheritance (from his mother) as well as the mutation that led to his paws, made it easier to move quietly and scale walls or similar structures if he ran into something he couldn't deal with, and needed a convenient place to hide. He could, of course, detect danger from much farther off, although his sensitive hearing and eyes sometimes ended up hindering him in a fight. Several lucky finds led to Blas discovering a cache of pre-war weaponry in a Boulder Cove brewery, which he managed to sell for a handsome sum at Craterview. With his earnings, Blas was able to trade for a number of useful items. These items (which will be described later) were his PDA, a eyepiece he refers to as a 'HUD', and a strange, improvised gauss rifle he refers to as the 'Coilgun'. Of course, no one's luck lasts forever, and in a fit of pride after these fortuitous trades, Blas soon ran afoul of the monstrous entity known as the Malicious One, a towering beast with heavily armored skin and strength more comparable to a bulldozer than to something that had once been a human being. Trapped in the sewers beneath Boulder Cove, Blas' last memory is of the Malicious One charging towards him through a hail of Coilgun fire, before waking up adjacent to the Player Characters, in a world utterly unfamiliar to his own...

A large, spider-like being composed of the mangled, rusted, charred remains of an intersection. Highway Haunter is both fairly simple and fairly difficult to read. It’s emotional state is usually determined by what color the main streetlight of it’s face is displaying, with green usually indicating happiness and other positive emotions, yellow indicating fear and confusion, and red indicating anger, pain, and rage. Highway Haunter is around 15 feet tall if it stands as tall as it can, but can crouch much lower if it wants to. A street sign reading “Rainbow” is attached to one of it’s legs, and a stop sign mirrors it.

Personality: Highway Haunter has the personality of a large, curious, somewhat stupid dog. It does quite like people, and is fiercely loyal to those that care for it and show it affection. It is, however, also capable of extreme violence when angered, easily impaling enemies on it’s spindly legs. Every so often, Highway haunter will regress to it’s original purpose as a traffic light and will attempt to regulate who can come and go on an intersection if it’s brought to one.

Perks:

Green Light: Green means go.
Whenever Highway Haunter uses a Green action, all allies gain +5 init until the start of it’s next turn. Green actions are abilities that have no base cooldown.

Yellow Light: This will be your only warning.
Whenever Highway Haunter uses a Yellow action, the cooldown on it’s Red abilities goes down by 1. Yellow actions always have moderate base cooldown.

Red Light: It’s time to stop.
Whenever Highway Haunter uses a Red action, it’s attacks deal 2x damage on enemies with a faster init than it until the end of it’s next turn. Red actions always have high base cooldown.

Meaningful Lights (Trick): Highway Haunter’s emotional state is easily read by others, even if they might otherwise miss it due to it’s slightly alien form. People naturally understand Highway Haunter’s emotional state, as written in any scene he is RP’d in. Failing that, you can PM and ask, and your character will know by default how Highway Haunter feels about things.
Level 2: Highway Haunter’s anger is transmitted extra clearly, and may serve to intimidate people out of combat.

Silent Step (Trick):
Highway haunter moves shockingly quietly. Has no effect in combat.
Level 2: Highway Haunter moves with complete silence, only causing sounds when it wants to.

Internal Clock (Trick)
Highway Haunter was once in perfect sync with an entire city. While that beautiful harmony is long gone, it still recalls it's part in the orchestra. Has no effect in combat.

Appearance: Sabots appears to be a Dahu, a mythological species of goat with one pair of legs significantly shorter than the other. In Sabots' case, his left legs are far shorter than his right. He counteracts this quirk of his biology by wearing long, wooden stilts that even out his gait and allow him to walk on land, albeit slightly unsteadily. His horns are fairly straight, with only a slight backwards curve near the top, and his fur is tan on top with a white belly and inner limbs. His eyes are a light brown. He wears no clothes, save a highly advanced protective charm with dangles from his neck.

Personality: Gentleman. Explorer. Mentor to some of the greatest magical talent of the last three centuries. Sabots is many things, but chief among them a scholar. Sabots has seen countless things in his travels, and has used those experiences to come out a stronger person. That said, he is extremely cagey about who, exactly, he is the familiar of, and can become incredibly curt and even downright rude if the issue is pushed. Sabots loves learning, and is particularly interested in the fields of magical biology, natural sciences, history, mundane biology, and psychology. He can come across as arrogant, at times, but that arrogance is usually rooted in him knowing the truth.

Perks
Arcane Familiarity Level 2:
Being a familiar, Sabots possesses an incredibly large mana pool that he cannot access on his own. This energy is borrowed from his master, wherever or whoever that person is.
Grants the Perk-backed action "Temporary Bond."

Le Dernier Cadeau Level 2:
The amulet around Sabots' neck is nearly as much of a touchy subject as whoever his master is. Whatever it is, it is certainly powerful.

Trespassers is active (if in a bit of a slump due to meatspace concerns) and always accepting players.

EDIT: Also you should probably remove the epilepsy trigger from your rotation.
