Hi Guys
Have been going around the forums looking for an answer that I just cant get. Maybe some of you can help.
I Like to RP alot with Dwarf Fortress and to do this i need to edit the RAWS.
Specifically "Creature_Standard" Raw File.
So here is my problem.....
I am looking to make Yeti's Trainable so that I can cage them and maybe trade them ( kind of like a labor camp trade ect ).
I have made edits to the RAW .. in the yeti creature i have added Biomes for desert, glacier, forest ect... I increased population and also littersize.. removed [Savage] but for some reason the yetis still are not appearing in any map that i enter.
Am i missing something here.. I have made sure the DF Raw and the Save file Raw are the same but this still isnt doing anything.. I also remember making edits a long time ago and the map i entered had loads of yetis.. ALso made sure BIomes are added doe the specific Biome i enter but still no joy here.
I am using the Lazy Newb ( specifically "Spacefox" Tileset )
Can someone help me here???

Try restoring SAVAGE and changing FREQUENCY from 1 to 100, then embark on a savage glacier. That should do it.

You might want to try the region-pops command in DFHack. For example
region-pops boost YETI 10
should make them 10 times more likely to show up.

I'm pretty sure that won't have any effect on the frequency of their arrival - instead, it'll just allow more of them to appear (and die) before becoming "locally extinct".

When would i do this? during play( after i embark ) or on the world map ( before choosing a region to embark on ?

The biomes might be populated with creatures during worldgen, in which case you need to generate a new world to have the changes apply. If you did that already, I have no idea how to help.

During play.
