It means you have not posted enough.
It seems you have made six posts. I think ten is the magic number to promote to Bay Watcher, aka regular member.

It doesn't affect anything. Though it is good to be able to see at a glance who has just now joined, and said members do often act like escaped lunatics. :p

I've always felt that the ranks should be switched around.

Now that you're "established", it's just not that you're not an escaped lunatic.
After all, you've clearly now fully broken into here, and there are very few ways in which you can now actually notably leave again... Until the end of time, by all practical measures, you're trapped. Let's not get into who is trapped in here with who, though just... watch it?
