Title: Anyone know how to buy stuff from dwarven shops?

I've been able to buy things from the trade depot with no problem, but the shops in the fortress proper dont have any brokers or anything. I tried bringing some goods up to the trade depot but even after giving the trader the goods and buying them back, it still has the little $ signs next to them.

Any tips?

They're not shops, they're just stockpiles, and you currently can't buy the things in them, only steal them.
