Perhaps I've just missed it, but I can't figure out how to get more water in Adventure mode. Can anyone clue me in?

Sadly, you can't at the moment. Either drink from swamps and rivers, or leave to a different area every time you get thirsty. (In addition to healing most wounds, it feeds and waters your character.)

I am awaiting the day you can re-fill your waterskin. With water, that is. It seems that it doesn't take an object's size or composition into consideration, as I was able to put a barrel full of food into one.

Clearly what we are expected to do is put barrels of dwarven booze in our waterskins, then! (Apparently polar bear leather is more elastic than the stuff they make speedos out of!)
