Title: about npcs getting weapons
Post by: thvaz on October 10, 2006, 09:22:00 pm
In the new version I just can't find mercenaries roaming around the cities (except for a few at the Dwarves cities, but they won't join me) and I have to rely on drunks. One of my drunks, in a kobold cave, get a copper sword and started to fight with it. I didn't know the npcs could do that in adventure mod (the drunk was killed by a heart piercing spear in the same cave just after).
What I want to know is : the npcs can pick up itens, like weapons , and use them, or this drunk spawned with a weapon?I can give them some armor?

It's possible the drunk wrestled a copper sword out of a kobold's inventory and then won possession of it.  You'll notice that cyclopes start whipping you with your own pants as well.  Right now, your followers won't do anything remotely intelligent regarding equipment.

I see. Well, the adventure mode is already great fun. I managed to kill a giant with one sucessful blow that pierced his lung, afterminutes of battle!  :( )
