Well the key bindings are there somewhere. I have to change them every time i play adventurer to be able to ascend/descend.

It should be the ? key.  That brings up the 'help' menu and the key bindings.

it was the : & ;, respectively.
Now then, why do I keep getting the message: "You do not have a free grasp." when trying to pick up things?

How do I empty a hand? Do I like, really, have to unequip my shield every time I pick up a stone? :r

I'm having this problem.

I don't see the relevant keys in either key binding or ? menu, though I did rebind "Move View/Cursur Up," to no avail.

Any help?

Or you might have a North-European keyboard like I do. Then you'll just have to try out the keys.

Or redefine them in the keybindings menu.
