Wow, it’s amazing that for the first time in history, we have a programming team! Just imagine the possibilities with another person on the project, and perhaps more in the future! DF can truly grow exponentially from there. This news really made my day.

It's awesome! And cool to see that it's someone from the community and not just "some programmer off the street". Hopefully some cool stuff coming up!

I haven't been spending a lot of time around here, so I am not familiar with Putnam, but a bigger team indeed sounds like good news and congrats to Putnam.

Where can I read about this news?

guys now we have another noble to complain at (in a constructive and FUN way, of course)

There are some anti-economies of scale when you go too large, but having Putnam in there can only be a boon. I'm not sure I've said so elsewhere, so congrats!

Having just one another person already sounds like huge boost to how fast issues are going to be addressed.
Now not everything will require valuable Toady's time, so many more minor UI issues could be addressed faster.
Congrats to Putnam!
And bring us craftdwarfship of the highest quality!

This is big! Congratulations for Putnam!

It'll be interesting to see how Tarn adapts to another developer. Just onboarding, knowledge transfer can take time and putting in place good version control and common builds practices... Should produce some good stories of they're up for sharing. These are of course challenges faced by other developers, myself included...
