I'd like to search my files for instances where a dwarven civilisation has 'dug too deep' and created another hostile civ which proceeded to take over their fortress. I had a 47.05 world where this happened and it was great fun to try to retake the original fort (which I did not succeed at but I learned a lot while trying!). Is there a way to grep for certain strings to find these occurrences, or do I have to go through each region individually via the game interface? I've tried exporting XMLs and searching for variations on 'breach/ed' and/or 'underworld' with and without case-sensitivity and whole word specifications, and just rgrepped the whole save directory and have not been able to find it. I see in the wiki there are raw tag listings for breaching stuff but the above searches haven't turned anything up. Anybody have any suggestions on finding a world I can go crusade against the nasty fortress-taking-over baddies?

It's a real pain compared to 47.05 where simply tapping 'p" would get you the info you need instantly in a text file (with the new civ at the bottom of the file).
Basically have to go through the list of civs in legends Mode searching for one which didn't begin in the year 1 and work backwards from there to find out who released them. Of course, the civs are mixed in with all sorts of other groups so it takes a while.

Ah, the map export function. How I miss thee. :) Thank you for the information, Shonai_Dweller. I had a feeling that was the answer as of this moment but there's usually someone in here who knows better than I. I do have one world with this trait so I'll fight the baddies there for now.
