I've gotten a couple of interesting forgotten beasts in my current world, and I'm gonna share and draw some of my favorites! Feel free to suggest some from your own worlds if you want!
Firstly, Spuspo.

He sits in cavern layer 2, sucking the life out of crundles and plump helmet men. Entirely harmless to my fort because I miraculously haven't breached layer 2!
It seems fond of grabbing things with it's wings then sucking their blood.
More to come if I don't forget this exists!

I don't remember what these guys did, but Thefinbora probably ate my militia. I think Rafethe got clapped as soon as it encountered a dwarf wearing steel.
There's like, a solid progression of webspinning beasts that chew on my militia before collapsing to chip damage.

I had some trouble with drawing this guy due to the clear skin, but he could be cool! He was a neat challenge tho! Also, do yall just want the one image with the references and FB screenshot in there or do you prefer the slightly cleaner older posts?

awesome depiction. . . wouldn't clear skin be horrifying? After Ricote swallows your squadmates, you would be witness to the beginning processes of digestion....

I guess it really was fated, in a way. I wanted to make this guy seem sorta mysterious or mystical, but man DF gives you some funky colors. Anyway, its underbelly looks like the night sky.
