The year is 2028. Throughout history, sporadic outbreaks of the demons called Amanojaku have fed upon humanity. The most recent outbreak has been ongoing for three years, the last seven years ago. Fading into the shadows, the Amanojaku feed upon Biorhythm, the natural life force of humans. The process induces a violent, berserker-like rage in those whose Biorhythm is being drained. Biorhythm maintains emotional state, and by draining Biorhythm, the Amanojaku pose a threat to humanity. Furthermore, when well-fed or forced to come out, the Amanojaku can take material form, wreaking havoc and sowing chaos wherever they go.

However, there are rare individuals who possess the power to manipulate Biorhythm, allowing them to use it for miraculous applications. By weaponizing Biorhythm, these individuals can channel it to fight the Amanojaku on their own ground, forcing them to reveal themselves to be attacked. Equipping themselves with the holy relics called Mirages, these Miragers are humanity's best hope against the Amanojaku. With song and sword, they drive the Amanojaku back, defending humanity.
"If I can reach even one person with my song, that's all that matters. You...can't reach someone if you don't give your all. So, please, everyone....believe in me!"

You are all Miragers, magical girls and boys who use the power of music, love and friendship to fight the demonic Amanojaku. You are either:
- A member of the Fire Soul Agency's 1st and 2nd Units, an entertainment agency that doubles as a Mirager group led by retired rocker Javier Luna and impish scientist Freydis Ormrsdottir. Using their tours, they use their Biorhythm-enhanced music to lower the Amanojaku's defenses. However, recent mysteries are coming to the fore....

- A member of the Tactical Sound Unit EUFON, an elite government-funded Mirager group investigating the origin of Amanojaku, under the guise of the idol units KNIGHTMARES and Afternoon. You are investigating the Fire Soul Agency, believing that their methods may have the key to the attacks of the Amanojaku....
The plot and setting of the story are heavily inspired by Symphogear, Macross Delta, Macross Frontier and Tokyo Mirage Sessions and the half-remembered knowledge I have of various idol media. As such, expect unhingedness, cheesiness and complete insanity.
(OOC Note: Do not worry about overlap or what best fits the party. I care more about if your character is interesting. Being the sole representative of a damage type is not a guarantee of getting in.)
There are small bonuses depending on what origin your choose for your characters.
Mirage
SONG-type Mirage - The Mirage you use is a SONG-type, which recognises only one wielder. Its power increases with the user's Biorhythm output. You gain an extra Personal Skill. Only Fire Soul Agency characters can use this.
EUFON-type Mirage - The Mirage you use a EUFON-type, with anyone being able to use it, with an increased base power compensated by requiring the special serum Quartz Fold to use. You gain a Free Chance Character Skill that is not an alternate version of a Cost Skill you have, and with half the base chance to activate. Only EUFON characters can use this.

1st Unit - Galactic☆Fairy (2 slots): An experienced Mirager, you two worked with your partner Azusa to help dispatch Amanojaku. With your additional experience, you gain an extra 4 points and one extra Mirage Art at character creation. That Mirage Art counts towards your 15 Art limit.
2nd Unit (2 slots): After a trial by fire, you are a Mirager in the newly-created 2nd Unit of Fire Soul, training to use your Mirage in the defense of others. You gain 20% growths and an additional 5% at Promotion.

EUFON Receptor Candidates/1st Unit - KNIGHTMARES (2 slots): The earliest members of the Tactical Sound Unit, you were hand-picked due to your skills and compatibility with the Mirages possessed by the unit. With your additional experience, you gain an extra 4 points and one extra Mirage Art at character creation. That Mirage Art counts towards your 15 Art limit.
EUFON Volunteers/2nd Unit - Afternoon (3 slots): Later applicants to the unit, you were recruited based on your Biorhythm levels being high enough to use EUFON-type Mirages. You gain 20% growths and an additional 5% at Promotion.

- There is no permadeath in MegaMirager; downed allies will remain on the map until pulled up.
- Stillness, Taunt, Discipline, Reinforce, and Provoke are not available.
- The following Character Skills are changed:
- Akimbo: Applies to Mirage Forms instead.
- Armsthrift: Armsthrift now has a SKL*2% chance of not using Biorhythm Charge on Mirage Arts or QL on items.
- Colossus/Colossus+: Now increase offensive stat by x1.5/x2 before calculations instead of adding CON.
- Fortitude/Fortitude+: Now increase defensive stat by x1.3/x1.5 before calculations instead of adding CON.
- Corrosion/Corrosion+: Now disables Mirage Arts and seals equipment.
- Imbue/Center: Changes the HP recovery effect to MAG/2 or STR/2. In return, Imbue/Center does not disappear when taking Magical or Physical proficiencies at Promotion.
- For every 10% Progression put into both STR and MAG, you gain 5% growth to put into other stats, capped at an extra 25%. Maturity and other Skills that affect Growths, as well as the Ascension increase, do not count towards the 10% for this rule.
- Weapons and equipment are overridden with the lists in the MegaMirager guide.
In addition, the following mechanics apply:
- Threat Attacks: Powerful attacks that hit multiple tiles, triggered by attracting the attention of the attacker. Threat Attacks are marked with red squares over the tiles that will be hit and will activate one turn after they are triggered.
- Great Monsters: Monsters that occupy more than one tile, have massive HP counts and have Threat Attacks of their own.
- Talk: Certain marked enemies will have the option to be Talked to, which grants the talker items or EXP. If an enemy is made to leave the map through Talk, EXP will be gained as if the enemy was defeated through combat. Some enemies can be Talked to after certain conditions are fulfilled, but enemies that are attacked while Talk is enabled for them will no longer accept being Talked to. Furthermore, certain enemies will be weakened when Talked to.
- Life Points: Certain enemies will have Life Points, which allow them to be healed completely upon being reduced to 0 HP at the cost of that point. Life Point expenditure cancels all Threat Attacks launched by the wielder that have yet to land.
- Barriers: Certain, very powerful enemies have Barriers, which tank damage at a rate of 10 damage per 1 hit; any excess damages their HP directly. Barriers also resist Critical hits; while Barriers are up, the enemy cannot be critted, but are still vulnerable to other forms of damage increase such as Focusing Chant or Luna.
- Elite Enemies: Elite enemies take halved damage from all sources except Poison, Drain and Session-boosted attacks. Once struck with a Session-boosted attack, the Elite protection breaks, allowing them to take normal damage from attacks. Critical hits do not work against Elites until their protection has been destroyed.
- Press Turns: Certain bosses will have multiple moves per Phase. Depleting a Life Point destroys all of their Press Turns for that Phase and if Talk is used correctly Press Turn points can be reduced.

It was 2023 when Abigail left her home in an end-term trip to Japan with the rest of her classmates. Back at home, she left a family that she thought that supported her, wanted her to pursue a prestigious carreer, and live the life they always wanted. She was set out to take on the family bussiness - boring office job taking care of deliveries on a small scale, but it'd keep her afloat without a care on the world, as thanks to her parents she would easily get through with a good life.
Who knows, maybe she could marry off someone and let them work their share while she stayed at home. What was there that needed to be done in a home?
But Japan opened her eyes.
Unwillingly, she paid for the entrance of her group of friends for an idol concert, starring a new star ready for take-off.
She was on the left side of the mass of fans craving the concert, as a silly-looking girl with a tutti-frutti dress. Her first expression of disgust at the horde of people cheering on with glowsticks was unexpectedly replaced with shock - and then amazement - upon hearing the singer on the stage.
That voice... was angelical. Maybe it was something beyond what she could ever aspire to, but it truly felt out of this world. It was...
The thought of being on the stage, the wish to give everything one had... It resonated with her, and the idea of putting her thoughts, her wishes - her heart - and voice it... It thrilled her. She wanted to sing, too. She wanted to show her own heart as well.
Later that night, on the hotel room, through a phone call, her parents asked her about her latest expenses - something about... an idol concert. Such a... foreign, bizarre thing to show interest on. She saw this as an opportunity where she could put her feelings into words to her parents. Her passion - her wish to sing. Everything she felt early that day. She even sang on the speaker - crude, rough, but passionate.
"In that case... maybe it's for the best if you don't come back home. We've no need for a wannabe singer."
Before she could even realize it, she was cast out, shunned, and left aside by her family. The very next thing were her friends - seeking council from them only lead to them realizing that she wouldn't be the goody-two-shoes with a fat purse anymore. Her card wasn't working anymore, and all that she was left with was what little cash she had taken out days earlier. Sometimes her phone would ring, but she'd ignore it. Messages, calls, yet... it all felt... fake.
She was left stranded, alone. There was nobody to help her. So she took to the streets. She would sing on the commercial streets - mainly because she enjoyed it, but also because she had seen many wandering artists. All she had to do was sing, for sure.
But day on and off, she could feel that it wasn't working as good as she thought it'd go. She looked at herself, spent time trying to wonder what was wrong with her. Why wasn't she succeeding? Why was every singer so... great. So good? She'd go to every concert that would happen - paid the entrances, snuck in, even watched them in social media if need be. They always lifted her spirits. So... why? Why couldn't she?
Resignation set in. She shouldn't sing for money. That feeling is hollow. She wasn't singing out of her heart, but out of her pocket, so no wonder her purse was as empty as her voice.
So she took on a job, on cleaning duty as part of a ramen locale. She'd sing after it closed, keeping the tempo with each swing of the broom, each scrub of the rag. She'd get by, singing and working until one fateful day. She had kept to herself, putting distance between the other workers.
Years would pass, and she'd get by, song after song, shift after shift, sleeping in a moldy room. Cynical apathy had set in, and the only time of the day she waited for was for when she could sing by herself, her public being the tables left to clean, the breadcrumbs left to sweep, and the empty store yet to close, unsuspecting of the staff working their other jobs.
Unknowing to her, she had been recorded, her singing posted on social media, and unknowingly started gaining traction. More and more customers would come to the local, until idol agencies took their shot. She could take that as a chance, but... resignation was too far in, so she rejected left and right.
One day, she decided that she would just quit the job. The social pressure just felt... too much. Yet... she wanted to make it to the stage. She found a band - not a demanding manager, not a desperate fan, not anyone coming for her to ask her to join them, but something she found on her own.
The Knightmares... did really have a nice ring to it. Since that was the first advertisement about auditions that she found out there, she thought that applying for such a group wouldn't be a bad idea. A last ditch effort. So she ran the audits, aiming for a spot as a nightmare of her own, a Nightmare of Conquest - what's most feared about the enemy. Your downfall.

Bio: Born in the Chiba prefecture, Hanako grew up in Kyonan. An out of the way town with a small population, that is most known for the Temple Complex of Nihon-ji. Every Spring, Hanako's mother and father would take her to Minamibōsō for the flower viewing of her namesake and the beach, along with her other friends and their parents. And every Fall, traditional ceremonies were held in honor of the gods.
The time eventually comes when every child of Kyonan has to go out to other schools nearby. Most are encouraged to go nearby, a short enough train ride where they can commute each day. Some chose to take up more traditional jobs in the village after graduating from Kyonan Junior High. But on one Spring vacation, before the school year started, Hanako had a chance meeting with Azusa when Amanojaku attacked Minamibōsō.
Another spring in Minamibōsō. With her friends, they are on the beach as it happens. Hanako had just bought a new earring from one of the vendors, a bright bronze-colored earring. Fights begin to break out among the beachgoers, enough that police have to step in. Hanako is confused and tries to get her friends away from it, but unease can be felt within the city as day approaches dusk. While the beach has been closed, the flower viewing is still ongoing. She rejoins her father and mother, ready to head home.
At this point, however, a full riot breaks out among the populace. The Amanojaku gathered through a sea tunnel and erupted from the sewers. Chaos sets in as people begin to fight.
Fire Soul had also come to see the flowers, and when their aura started affecting the area, they started tracking them down. They eventually found them having taken over the sewers. And as their song wafted up from underground, fighting off their foe and trying to stem the tide, Rho Aias triggered. A chance of fate that a shard long gone from ancient battlefields would eventually wind up here, bought by a young girl. Hanako found herself awakened with the power to fight. And the sense of Biorhythm tied to others around her. And as if by instinct, she sang, providing energy to her fellow mirages, expanding her biorhythm to fight back against what she had no words for.
Once the leader was destroyed and the singing stopped, the Miragers came up to find the town covered in yellow flowers and found Hanako before she died of Biorythm exhaustion. It is Hanako's first introduction to Fire Soul: In a hospital bed recovering, learning about the Amanojaku threatening the world. It would shape her future and decision to join a High School in Sendo City and become an idol. Her energy and determination to fight back, to lift people, would prove popular among her fans in the coming years. Though her duties as a student led to great regret when Minako had to retire due to her injury. She still serves as a bright, refined woman who gives her all in everything she does.
Mirage Base/Awakened Forms: Rho Aias' base form takes the shape of a copper pendant. When awakened it disperses into numerous flower petals, likely inspired by modern anime's depiction of a Rho Aias. In this state they can be manipulated to form shields, attack with elemental effects, and even float on a disc made of them, with Biorhythm supporting their growth. This growth further spreads to protect and heal nearby allies, making it one of the few healing-type Relics. However, it's original state is supposedly that of a shield, so this may be the result of the who and where when it first awakened to Hanako. As a Song type, it is locked to her, but is rather closely linked to others around her. If they wither or flourish, so does the user, fluctuating with the biorhythm of others.

Miyuki, being a fairly gentle soul, sought to reform her image. A recruitment drive for an idol agency seemed just the thing. Idols are beloved by all, she thought, so even trying out would demonstrate her true colors even if she failed. Fortunately for her, she succeeded; her vocal talents had earned her the attention of the recruiter.
Unfortunately for her, the auditions were actually tests for Mirager aptitude, and so her actual occupation as a result of this mostly involved beating and shooting monsters. Fortunately, this still meant she kept up an image as an idol. Unfortunately, this image capitalized on her natural tendencies and the overall aesthetic of KNIGHTMARE, further marking her as a delinquent ne'er-do-well. Fortunately, this did let her protect her dearest sister from the toils of combat. Unfortunately, her sister happens to have just as much aptitude as her, if not moreso. . .

Bio: Bio: The daughter of a former idol and a professional wrestler, Momiji lived a rather privileged life. While she followed her mom’s path of an idol by taking various vocal, dance and other types of classes she also spent a lot of time backstage at her fathers wrestling matches where she grew to love the sport and even learned a few moves from the other wrestlers.
Unfortunately Momiji’s happy life was brought to an end during a family outing, her family was caught up in an Amanojaku attack where she lost both of her parents and barely survived herself though severely injured. Having no other family to take her in, Momiji was taken in by the EUFON agency due to her being of interest to them because of her lineage. It was quickly discovered that Momiji had a high biorhythm production and was quickly moved into EUFON’s Mirager training program along with her normal recovery therapy. It’s been two years since then and Momiji has finally recovered enough to finally take the stage as both an idol and Mirager under EUFON’s new group Afternoon.

Bio: It would be fair to say Nagisa never intended to be an idol - never would have even considered it as a possible trajectory for his life. As the only child and heir of the Fujibayashi fortune, he spent most of his youth lost in his studies - mostly about space. He always figured by the time he was an adult, there would be expeditions to other planets, and if not, he could help design spaceships for such voyages. His parents approved of these ambitions and mostly left him to his own devices as long as his grades were high.
One might question what, then, diverted him from his intended life's path. There were no financial or political obstacles to his goals; if he didn't understand something his parents would simply hire the best tutor they could find, and the family name carried enough respect that should he continue to do well in school he was practically guaranteed a position anywhere he wanted it. He wasn't bullied in school. The truth of it was that the young man carried a vast empty loneliness inside him, every bit as deep as his interest in that same empty, lonely sky above him - no friends, busy family. He didn't know how hungry he was for genuine human interactions until the day it came to him on the simple sound of a harmonica from a club room he was passing by on his way home.
Intrigued, he stopped and watched from the door, listening to these instruments he had never heard before - sure, he was familiar with synthesizers, and guitars and drums, and many of the things that made up the modern music scene and even some from the classic music of his homeland like the koto and the shakuhachi, but these were novel and fascinating. He would often find himself stopping outside the clubroom day after day to listen to the band practice... and one day, he was noticed and invited inside. Despite his protests that he had no experience playing music, he was handed what they called a banjo and told he could join in.
That club, that small band of upperclassmen - Yoshio, Mitsuaki, Saburou, Tsuneo, and Hana - they were the first people to treat him with any familiarity. For the first time, he found himself smiling and laughing with others, learning how to play songs, helping write lyrics. For the first time in his life, he was genuinely happy. But he was a second year and they were all third years so there did come a day when they had to part, and though he kept up with them when he could, they all had lives to lead. Even so, he continued to play and practice the music that had touched his heart on his own, even if his studies suffered for it.
When he graduated he set out on his own to play in the streets, for his own edification and to brighten the days of others. Sometimes passersby would engage him in conversation, and sometimes these encounters would set his pen to paper with new inspiration. It was while he was busking that he was approached by Javier Luna, who thought his unique sound would add a lot to the idol group he was putting together. Nagisa had never thought about being an idol, but Javier talked him into it... and it was as a member of Galactic☆Fairy that he first learned of Miragers, and that he held a great affinity for the KND-r81.
Mirage Skarn was first documented fighting off an Amanojaku and holding his hand out to a cameraman that had been knocked over and abandoned in the attack, and what he said as he offered his hand to help that man up has become his arc words - the phrase everyone knows him for, and what fans of his shout to him when they see him fighting for their sakes:

Araki Hagane had always been a notorious numbnut since childhood. Often compared with his older brother Araki Shirogane, who managed to get into university on his first try, by the age of 16 he had the prospects of a rock in the middle of a lake. Though doted of a wide physique, he was useless in sports or in a fight, with eating hits being the only talent he thought he possessed, leading to a lack of friends even within the delinquent sphere. Deeply displeased with his inability to find his calling beyond street sweeper, one day he felt his rage rise to the point of brimming in the middle of the street...
Until he released a primal, shrill, yet oddly melodic yell at top volume. Araki instantly felt better, much better than he'd felt in months, and so did everyone in the vicinity until the tinnitus from the ear-splitting scream he'd just released set down. From that moment on, Araki practiced his voice, chasing the high he felt, which eventually led a small rock band in the works to recruit him as their lead screamer.
Though his family disapproved of the path he suddenly took, Araki continued practising with his new group, mostly playing covers of famous rock bands from other countries, with some originals mixed in, always at the top of his lungs. By the age of 20, they'd earned their small niche of hard rock fans and a handful of noise complaints, but a future of surviving on cheap ramen and the measly donations a group of broke ass kids and their broke ass fans could muster wasn't very appetizing for the rest. Just when the end of the band was close, they were offered a job with Fire Soul.
Unbeknownst to him at the time, Araki had unconsciously manipulated Biorhythm with his first scream, avoiding a potential Amanojaku attack and restoring the surrounding people to health. Though he hadn't repeated that feat since then, the Fire Soul scouts detected his natural talent at channeling the people's anger into loudness and followed the sound to its source. Hiring his rock band was a cover for turning him into a Mirager, becoming part of Fire Soul's misleadingly named Galactic☆Fairy.

Misaki is a girl with an angelic face, with a touch of western blood in her giving her lengthy blonde hair that emphasizes the effect. She certainly looks like the type that wouldn’t hurt a fly and would prompt people to think she could be easily taken advantage of or is in need of protection. This pleasant mask hides her actual personality.
Prone to swearing, violence, and broadly doing whatever the hell she wants, Misaki is something of a delinquent. She joined kendo not to learn an elegant martial art but because it meant she could hit people without getting in any trouble; the carefully composed expression during classes is her struggling not to fall asleep. Because of her appearance compared with her sister, much of her own actions gets attributed to that sister - who looks the part far more than Misaki does - despite both of their efforts to clear things up; “Oh, she’s just taking the fall for her older sister, how noble!”
While she can be a bit dense, she’s not dense enough to miss her sister’s becoming an idol. Besides the advertisements she’s seen around the place having one really obvious face on them, her room has a bunch of evidence. Since she's clearly embarrassed Misaki feigns ignorance (poorly), but still supports her! She comes to most of her concerts, even. Discretely, so she doesn't know, but she's sending the vibes of sisterly support.

Seitaro's earliest memories were of the inside of a foster home, with his biological parents never having contacted him even once. And like many foster homes in Japan, the one he resided in was underfunded and ill-prepared to properly take care for the children and their future. A number of his peers would come and go, but he remained a fixture through his entire youth. Seitaro's grades weren't the best and he knew he wouldn't get anywhere in life, but getting a private tutor or even going to cram school wasn't an option for him. His options were depressingly limited. During his teenage years, he managed to find a part-time job at a local music store, unpackaging and sorting CDs and instruments while peeking through the door and always enviously staring at the children of wealthy parents who are getting a violin, keyboard or even piano. They can't be having it worse than him, he always thought. Nevertheless, he did his job, got his pay and found an arrangement with the foster home where he would share his pay with them in exchange for more freedom of movement, as long as he stayed out of trouble.
Thus his late evening strolls began. Seitaro found the nightlife of the city exhilarating and even if he couldn't get in any of the establishments, he could at least observe from the outside as long as he was out of sight of police officers. He liked to push the limit, but he definitely didn't want to risk losing his freedom and he was clever enough to know the foster home wouldn't take his arguments if he got carried back home by the law. Of course, from the outside he may look like a troublemaker, so no surprise he soon made contact with delinquents and other youthful trouble makers. Once more, Seitaro was smart enough to realize that they wouldn't give him any trouble as long as he could make himself convenient to have around. He was a lookout while a gang was loitering or commiting minor crimes and at age 16 he already experienced the taste of smoke and beer. He disliked both.
As the 18th birthday was approaching, a dilemma unfolded before Seitaro. In Japan you're of legal age with 20, but foster homes kick you out with 18. He didn't get adopted, so soon he would be in a critical situation. Whatever remained of what Seitaro has saved was way too little to carry him through the next two years, so he saw only one way out: After his birthday, when he got kicked out of the foster home, he worked one last time at the music store, then stole a guitar case plus guitar, fled to main station and traveled to a neighboring city, living on the street and practicing the guitar. Why he stole a guitar, he couldn't tell, it was a spur of the moment-thing and it just felt right for him to start playing. He wouldn't have anything better to do anyway for the next few years, might as well have something to keep him sane. It was frightening to him how quickly he became good at both playing the guitar and developing his singing voice. But, maybe, just maybe, this would be his ticket to a small fortune? So he kept at it and went to the next city whenever things got too hot with the local police.
At the cusp of his 20th birthday, there was an Amanojaku attack in the neighborhood he currently resided in. With little time to make a proper escape, Seitaro hid in the next best alley and tried to not draw any attention. That at least was the plan before the Amanojaku got tossed through the alley by some weirdo with a dagger, prompting him to jump and thus blow his cover. The wounded Amanojaku attempted to grab him, the warrior interjected to protect him and sadly left himself open for a lethal attack. Another impressive strike with the dagger made the Amanojaku crumble, but so did the warrior, plunging himself against the wall and slowly sliding down as he was unable to maintain his posture, blood streaming down his back.
Seitaro desperately asked if he could help the man in any way, but the Amanojaku, assumed to be dead, woke up and slowly stood up, majorly injured but in a bit of a better condition than the warrior. Said warrior grabbed Seitaro's arm and pressed his dagger in his hand, coughing "Run or sing, but do it now!" Confused and overwhelmed, he stared at the strange weapon in his hand and... sung. He sung a random song he picked up at some point during his teenage years. Tears ran down his cheeks as he continued to sing, holding the dagger with both hands, trembling, the Amanojaku slowly approaching. And then, at the climax of the song, he blindly swung the dagger while there were still two meters between him and the extradimensional threat. For some reason, a ring of swirling wind emerged from the dagger and struck true, the Amanojaku falling, finally slain for good. Still confused, Seitaro looked at the warrior, kneeling down next to him. The warrior gathered all his remaining energy to faintly smile at Seitaro. "Heh... The one-in-a-million shot in the dark, and I won... How... lucky...", he uttered with a weak breath before he collapsed. Seitaro couldn't do anything but stand, looking at the Amanojaku, looking at the stranger, looking at the dagger in his hand. Suddenly, he panicked and was gripped with fear. He dropped the blade, grabbed his stuff and ran away quickly.
A few years have passed since then. With the events of that day still vividly remembered, he doubled down on his career as a street musician until he became a regular performer at a music bar captivating the audience whenever he played his trusty guitar and sang a variety of songs. Then, one day, he got approached by a scout of the Fire Soul Agency and soon enough, he would be reunited with a familiar dagger...

As an immigrant to Sendo Economic City, Briar was always someone who stuck out like a sore thumb. Even his name set him just enough apart for him to enjoy his own space and his own time, free from others staring with good or ill intentions. He spent his childhood causing trouble and skittering away in the back streets and maze-like areas of the city, always able to find a route to speed through places others would just get lost in.
As he grew older he became interested in music, specifically the heavy beats and burning drive of good funk. He even dabbled in producing his own songs in the style of the people he admired so much, which hit off well enough to keep him happy.
Eventually, he had hit it off well enough to attract the attention of a certain group of people, specifically the recruiters for KNIGHTMARE and the associated Mirager group. As he had been looking for employment, it was an easy choice to come in for an audition and find that he was compatible with at least one of EUFON’s Mirages. Eventually, he struck a deal with them.
While officially he would just be an assistant to the KNIGHTMARE group, rather than center stage as an idol, he would in reality be part of the task force and be their first responder. With his mirage form being suited for speed on the streets and back alleys, he was able to skateboard his way to Amanojaku incidents fast and buy time for other units to respond. Thus, Mirager Beat was born as part of EUFON’s task force.

Bio: The sole heiress to the Himedera fortune since the disappearance of her parents in the Amanojaku incident of seven years ago. Passionate, whimsical, prone to large, dramatic and grandiose displays of 'favour' and proud of her own 'talents', Arisu has quickly gained a reputation as 'the mad princess'. A style and reputation that can also roughly be traced back to seven years ago, with some less than charitable voices proclaiming that she had also lost her wits in the attack. Can be currently debatable whether such a reputation was deliberately created or not.
Apparently, her newest hobby seemed to include singing and dancing in some way. Apparently, she was inspired from witnessing a certain girl that seemed dancing her way across the scene and resolved to be just like her. Surely, her own divine talents would be more than equal to such an ambition.
Someone should have told her that her own maids, employees and yesmen, worn and tired from the latest of her whims, did not make for the most critical of audiences. While she may not be 'bad' per say, any listener to even the shortest of her 'songs' would quickly find that she had a tendency to replace skill with enthusiasm and sheer volume. Still, buoyed by this newest source of encouragement, Arisu would go on to host grander and grander performances and even hosting a few public performances, so to speak.
It was these public performances that brought her to the attention of the EUFON agency, whom having detected her abnormally high levels of Biorhythm, deciding to recruit her under the reasoning that such a high potential would make her a useful asset against the Amanojaku by itself. Arisu, for her part, was simply delighted. At long last, may the world bear witness to her genius...and may there be mercy on everyone's eardrums.
