Title: Ripping Contest
Post by: Haedrian on July 22, 2007, 03:44:00 pm
There's no fun in killing a creature with one shot is it? But there sure is a lot of fun in ripping him apart bit by bit. So this is the ripping contest...

Send Screenshots of your most ever ripped up victim, broken, mangled bits... Double points for bits severed from the rest of him/her/it.

Winner gets bragging rights.

It's not really that unusual for a skilled swordsdwarf to hack off every one of an undead's limbs before destroying it completely.

But undead don't bleed to death...

Plus my (expert) swordsman has a habit of one-shot-killing them...

Do zombies with 6 red joints count?

If he survives you should call him Hoppers and keep him as a pet / armor stand.

That reminds me of a certain fox who had the misfortune of attacking my axedwarf. For his insolence, he lost a back paw. He fell down, then got up and started walking away, not even in pain. I followed and cut a front paw off, and he started crawling like nothing happened. Shocked, I named him Diehard, killed him, and kept his severed paw for good luck.

Not so huge picture

So, do I win?

More importantly, should I post again if he loses his head as well?   :D

Hi!

I suppose Fortress Mode weapon traps can't join the competition. It's a bit difficult to track, but they do great jobs on goblin thieves in my fortress right now ...

For large piles of body parts, mod in an obscenely strong race, get a blunt weapon and go to a cave or so. Your knockbacks have a high chance to send people flying, and when they fly hard enough into a wall, they break to pieces.

For some less then obvious reasons, there is a strange thing with the resulting mess:
left foot
left lower leg
left upper leg
right foot
right lower leg
right upper leg
left hand
left lower arm
left upper arm
right hand
right lower arm
right upper arm
lower body
upper body
head
corpse(uhhhh, wtf, what part is not severed then?)

Psh, my screen was from a totally legit human axeman; I trained his abilities to the point where he was Extremely Strong and Perfectly Agile by that point, but I didn't need to mess with the raws to turn that child into a nugget.   :p

Also, that axeman went on to make the poor kid's upper body 'cloven asunder' and his head settled down on top of what was left.  Again, do I win?  :p
