Title: Hunted (SG)

You awake as the world turns, you blink as the small laboratory comes in to focus.
Looking around you see the tank that your floating in, you claw your way out and pull of the cables and drips from your body.
Staggering, you head towards the day light, on exiting the small laboratory you find a world of black asphalt.

You can see that the laboratory was inside of large semi truck, its twisted on to its side and a burning car is wrecked across the road.

You walk, well limp slightly towards the front of the truck.
Then you see a bleeding man, in tactical gear, with oner hand he clutches at his belly.
As you approach him he shouts at you "get back! ba.."  he says reaching for a pistol.
He collapses as he draws the pistol, his shirt covered in blood.

You look at your self in the trucks mirror and then an urge hits you, a need to run, the flee from her.
You head to the :

North, following the road.
South, towards the lights in the distance.
West, into the farm fields
East, in to the woods.

You catch a glimpse of your self in the mirror, your different to how you remember.
The dragon head, the multi colour shell and the  feathery wings, there all new to you, some how our form has been altered but you can't recall what you've been altered from.


You head west, west like a cowboy seeking freedom and safety.
you run in to the cornfields , over fences and deeper in to the farm land.
By the time you stop running and catch your breath, it starting to get darker as the sun is setting down.
As you rest for a moment by a old barn, the sound of gravel crunching under a car wheel, shocks you awake.
You take a moment to glance out from the side of a rusting barn, there's a large black car, driven by two identical men in matching black suits.

In your guts you know that there not real men and there after you.

Roll 1 6 1 5
You leap at there car, flying in to the air and comeing down gut first on there cars hood.

"Target located!" shout both men in union.
As they reach for there pistol you roll off the car hood ad towards the door.
The car door slams into your face as they get out of the car.
You hit the man in black as they exit the car, it's a good hard blow and fall back nose broken.#

Then a gun shot rings out and a hot stabbing pain echo's from your wings.
the other man has shot you in the wings, enraged you leap across the car at them, with ease you over power them and bite down on there neck.
With blood dripping from your jaw, you look around and find that your safe for now.

But what do you do now?:
Loot the car and bodys ?
Flee to the north/ west/ south/ east (to the road)?
Hide?

You strip and pull off there clothes, you quickly dig thru there pockets.

Each on has a roll of quarters, a wedge of bills worth 500, a spare magazine for there hand gun and a cell phone.

As you pile up the items your feel hungry, hungry enough to eat.
You bite in to the corpses, munching them, there tastey (+3 food)
As you eat you feel strange, its like your changeing some how, adapting an evolving.

With the bodys eaten you pile up there things in a jacket and decide to:
Flee to the north/ west/ south/ east (to the road)?
Hide?

You head south, towards the lights in the distance.

As you walk, you try more and more to fly, you don't manage to fly but you glide a little as run and jump.

By the time your able to make out the city lights, you can feel your eyes getting heavy.
With the city spread out before you feel that you could hide here, hide among people.

But your not a person, well not a normal one anymore.
Yet you can feel the  spark inside your from the men, your still adapting an evolving, maybe you can use it shift your form slightly.

(Your stored adaptions lets you alter your form while you sleep.)

you head to the city and hide in a:

A: An Abandoned building.
B: The Bushs in the scrubground.
C: Crawl in to the sewers.
D: The Dumpter beside a divethru.

in the darkness you find a dry conner and sleep for a while.

The protagonist is up to the players, i hadn't really considered a nonhumanoid protagonist until it was voted for.

1 Opposable thumbs.
2  Arms for flexing.
3 Sweat glands for long endurance.
4 human pheromone emitters that make other humans think we seem like a good mate, in defiance of all other evidence.

i rolled a 4.

As you sleep in the dry patch, body changes and you gain a musky alluring sent.
(human pheromone emitters gained.)

refreshed now you set about dealing with your hunger and thirst.
It's easy to gain access to a small flow fresh water from a drain, so you stake your thirst but you hunger is a harder matter to deal with.
While there discarded, rotten and once eaten food flowing in the sewers, you have standards.

1: Scavenge the bins of a takeaway
2: Raid a buchers shop, there is a near by butchers shop, you can smell the blood in the water
3: Hunt a person, you liked the last two.
4: Hunt smaller game, like cats, dogs and birds.
5: Other.

5 You don't need to hunt for humans, they seem to come conveniently packaged in huge boxes. Find a nice apartment building and pick off the inhabitants at your leisure.

#4 for lower stakes while we're still getting the lay of the land. Once we're more familiar with the area and its inhabitants, we can move on to larger game.

The rain is thick and heavy, it dives rats down in to your sewers , drives them to your hungry mouth.
The rats are easy to kill and eat, there crunchy but unfulfilling to eat.

You head out to there surface, its dark and cold in the rain, but that doesn't stop you from looking for larger prey.
its not long before you find a large orange cat sitting by some bins, it try's to dart away but you grab its tail, the cat is tasty much better the the rats.

But your still hungry, then you see it, a fat little pug dog tied up in the alleyway beside a store.
you walk up to them, there calm as you pet them before you bite.

As you make your way back to your sewers, you see a woman in the distance.
At someone that you feel you've seen before or maybe its fear biting back at you.
She's like a shadow, a black rubber catsuit, matched with too pale skin and short pink hair.

But as you look back, she's not there.
Its dark and cold, the hard rain clouds your vision and you need to sleep, maybe she was never there at all.

You explore the sewers more heading deeper down in to older tunnels, on finding maintenance room that it looks unuse used from the dust build up, you decide to make it your base, some where to call home not just a condor to sleep in.

It takes you most of the day carrying rags and cardbord down from the upper sewer, to build a small bed in the room.
But with the work done you lie down to sleep  and consider tomorrow.

As you sleep you have a dream, twisted visions of stone temples and stars weeping blood across the sky.

Adapting again you focus on your sense of smell, channeling the rats sense of smell.
You gag as the world that smells worse then before, you can smell thing that one should ever smell, the odours of human waste of every kind mixed and rotted.

Its enough to make you sick, violently sick. (-3 food - 2 water) , even afterwards you cant get over the smells of the swearer.

Then you catch it, the smell of rubber and deodorant diffing on the wind, a few moments later you hears the sound of distant water splashing...
As it starts to get closer, it dawns on you are there's some one down here and there looking for you...

You try to:

Flee?
Fight?
Talk?
Hide?

We don't know for sure that the person approaching us has hostile intent, and we also don't know what their capabilities are, so fighting them might be a mistake. I'm undecided between fleeing and hiding.

Edit: Talking might be interesting.

Unsure if your facing a threat or friend you decide to wait and a talk to there them, sure that you can out run them in the sewers that have been your home this past week.


As the foot steps get closer you can feel a buzzing in your ears, the sent of rubber gets stronger, and then the door opens.

It's that woman the one from before, the pretty woman with pink hair.
She stares at you with her big purple eyes.

"hello miss?" you say.
"um ah what are your?" she asks.

"I'm me, i'm Simba, the Lion King, who are you i might ask miss?"
"Violet."
"Is that you being lazy an calling your self after your eyes or something else?"
she blinks at you dumb struck.

"So Violet why are you here? are you looking for me?" you ask her.

"had to find you, give a warning about them--" as she speak her eyes flash and she staggers back.
She screams in pain and you try to help her.
Her eyes roll back and blood starts to pour out of her ears "Run!" she stutters mid spasm before she collapses.
 

You:
A: carry her with you.
B: leave her

1: flee?
2: hide in the sewers?
3: start getting ready for a fight?

If we can fly with her, a rooftop would be a good place to hide.  Can't get up there easily, and if we do have to flee, there will be a way down..

You consider fleeing but you need to see who's chasing you.
Quickly you hide the unconscious Violet behind a few pipes, taking care to place her in the recovery position and cover her with some trash, if spotted you'll run and leave her behind, hopefully they will chase you.

With Violet safe as you can make her you hide and wait.

Minutes later you hear the foot steps of who ever is chasing her, its them the men in black suits.
The likeness of the three men takes your breath away, there identical the the men that you meet at the farm.
Wordlessly they walk around, eyes hidden behind black sunglasses, then they turn away and leave.

After a half hour you consider it safe and recover  Violet, she's stopped spasaming and is breathing steadily despite the dried blood around her ears an neck.

Next you deicide to...

It's not a great location for a hideout anyway due to our enhanced sense of smell, as we apparently "can't get over the smells of the sewer." I propose that we search for a new lair. A rooftop or an abandoned building might work.

If you've been tracked here then its no longer safe.
You carry the still sleeping Violet as you leave the sewers.

The sun is setting in the as rain washes the the streets, you decide to hide in a new lair, one that aup instead of down.
Climbing up a fire escape ladder you reach the top of an abandoned building.
Useing some trash bags and the leaves you build a small nest for Violet to sleep in.
After a few minutes Violet starts to come around, she moan softy.

As she starts to recover you stare at the night an think about what you do next.

Personally, I think we should use this chance to gently question Violet now that she's conscious. What is her background, and why did she come to warn us? What does she know about the people hunting us? How did she track us down, and does she know how our enemies are tracking us?

Personally, I think we should use this chance to gently question Violet now that she's conscious. What is her background, and why did she come to warn us? What does she know about the people hunting us? How did she track us down, and does she know how our enemies are tracking us?

As she conscious you take a moment to gently ask her some questions.
"So Violet what's your story? where did you come from? why did you warn me, hell how did know where i was?"

She blinks at you, " I came from the Assembly, Maximus he told me to warn you, said that he wanted to stop them.
"This Maximus he's your boss right? why did he want them stopped? who are they any way?" you ask her.

She nod and then stares at you blankly.

"What the "Assembly", that's some kind of base? can we go there? " you ask her.
"That the room i started in, silly. Why would we want to go there? its empty."

"Violet you don't know why your here? do you? its like you where born yesterday?"

"Do i really look that old? i'm only 16." she's deadly serious in a way that makes you think that she doesn't mean years.

"ok so do have any ideas about food, cos i'm getting hungry."


You consider your next move as your belly rumbles.

I'm going to admit that round about the point you turned in to a dragon sea horse my fugitive spy idea when by the way side.
But lets see where this goes.

Besides we should get doing, lets not waste the night." " she says stonewalling you.

"Do what? i can't run for ever or keep on liveing in sewers and shadows for ever."

Should we go hunting for some grub and adaptations? Since we are a Lovecraftian horror, I was thinking we could also try something like starting a cult, which would hopefully give us more allies.

As you sit and look at the night sky the idea comes to you, your not like others, your a demon prince , elder spawn of the stars  and some one these people should help anyway.
You tell Violet to set the ground work for a dragon cult, she's to find you the gullible, the feeble minded and more money then brains, any one that cane support you.

You plan a step a head, you'll need a meeting venue but that's a tomorrow Simba problem.
For today you want to hunt. 

You head don to the streets and the darkness, in moments you have a sent, your prey is a stumbling woman, she smells rank but attack her regardless, biting an clawing, soon she fall and your able to consume great lumps of her body.


As day dawns you return to Violet, she smiles at you, happy to boost that you have gain 4 followers, " weak willed, it was easy to mould there minds like clay" she says .


With the start of your cult, the need for a meeting venue  is pressing now, others can't take your wisdom on a roof top, even if you tell them your a fallen star god an big J third brother.

Cult meeting place

1: Back in the sewers, its free an safe.
2: Abandoned building,  its free an people can find it.
3: Rented community centrer, $100  per week.
4: Other?

As you think o your xccult you consider its name, its theme, where your going to get its membership from.

You spend much of the night looking and searching for a suitable base, you want somewhere large enough to hold you're follower yet privet and secluded.

You manage to find an abandoned warehouse, looking around you find that the floor boards on the upper floor are rotten thru and there no power supply.
But with some elbow greece you manage to get a rusted tap working.

You can feel Violet approaching, like a pulse inside mind before you hear her foots steps, and the sound of her boot heels echo's in the warehouse.

"Yes well i guess where moveing up in the world.
Violet while i get this place set up to be more suitable for the Shadows of the Elder Wyrm, can you go to the local colleges and see if you can talk some of the students in to joining us."

She nods and leaves you to focus on the decorations.
Well by decoration you mean some black bin liner bags used as drapes and curtains, and the odd bit make shift candle.

Elsewhere, on a collage campus Violet has managed to attract a crowed, with her eye catching style of dress and her direct approach.

Most people are keen to ridicule and write her off as a crazy, but she does meet with some success.
Be they interested, desperate, impressionable or just bored enough to come see what she's on about, Twelve follow her back to the warehouse.

As night fall you make your appearance to the new cultists.

"Hail him! Hail Simba high lord of the Elder Wyrm!" Violet calls out as you step thru the bin bag curtains.

There's gasps and falling jaws as the gaze on you.
After a moment of stunned silence you hear then start to repeat the chanted hail.

But then one of them snaps, "A monster! its some weird nuclear mutant! Im out here!" the man shouts as he starts to run.
"Sit down! " Violets eyes glow as she shouts at him.
The man's neck twitches as he crosses the room, by the time he reach's the doorway, his nose is flowing with blood.
Some where on the stairs up from the basement his mind ruptures and his body falls dead with blood shoot eyes staring blankly for ever more.

"See! The power of the Elder Wyrm and its eternal darkness." one of the gathered cultist calls out as they kneel before you and Violet.

"Be not afraid, for inducted as you are into the ecstasies of night, none of you, my chosen, need suffer the fate of this unbeliever. Witness now as his flesh is cast into the deepest of darknesses."

Consume the corpse for sustenance.

"Bring me those that shun the light, that they may join us in solemn reverence. Bring me nourishment that sustains, even as I nourish your spirits with manna of night. Remember that great treasure awaits those who explore the depths of the darkness, those that follow faithfully. Bring me your unneeded trappings of wealth. Go now, sheltered in my cloak of night, and know that you leave reborn anew as shadows æternal."

Command the cult to recruit others, provide us with regular sustenance, and collect funds. Hopefully we'll eventually recruit enough to start acting as a counterweight to the organization hunting us.
