Title: About the next version...

Hello Toadster.

I was wondering, will you still be instantly healed, fed and quenched when entering the world map in the next version? I hope not.

I believe that with the addition of seamless maps this is gone. I'm not sure though.

I think you can still travel in the 'world mode', but you have to press 'T' in order to do so, meaning that you can't suddenly flee that army of skeleton weapon masters you just irritated.  I also heard you can't enter the world map if you're bleeding, so you can't survive having your heart pierced by making it to the edge of the map in time.

That's just what I've heard, though.  It could be slightly different.

Yeah, that's pretty much correct.  You'll still be patched up if you manage to get to the travel screen, and it'll be this way until a few things are in, like the scarring/infection stuff and some way of handling provisions a little more abstractly while you travel.
