I'm deeply interested in making a utility with special uses regarding fortress planning but I'm not really sure where to start with it in regards to retrieving DF map information in the style the 3Dwarf Visualizer does.
Is there a guide or maybe some suggestions regarding where a person can start?
I've investigated the memory hacking parts of the wiki but they seem to relate more to freezing and changing of values rather than data extraction.

Hmm, think I've got it after looking carefully at 3Dwarf's pearl scripts.
Could anyone tell me how to find the new offsets when the version changes though?
