Title: The Search for Civ Hexadecimals
Post by: Haven on July 13, 2008, 09:41:37 pm
In short, how would I go about finding them? Any way besides popping DFC open and hunting down a member of your civ's choice? Asking for the furtherance of Project Civil War.

As side notes, it would be handy to know how they're assigned, as well as if I'd be better suited to just make a dwarf race that is at war with the standard dwarf race only (and if so, how).

Code: [Select]
entity_default

[OBJECT:ENTITY]

[ENTITY:MOUNTAIN]
[CIV_CONTROLLABLE]
[CREATURE:DUERGAR]
[TRANSLATION:.......]

No idea if you can add creatures or if the program only looks for entries it already knows, in which case just take elves or kobolds, both useless, and change everything from name downwards to suit what you want.. in both creature standard and entity default, probably halve generation seedings for dwarves and their cousins, file_changes.txt in the root of the folder gives quite a bit of info.

Or you could make goblins pets of duergar and give the duergar the dark fortresses, heh. or maybe seed a 5th entity and make it babysnatch dwarves, give it high initial seed value but low reproduction or short life span, so most of the population is proper dwarves been snatched, maybe. no idea.

You can add creatures.

The program only looks for entries it already knows, but if you added new creatures the program already knows them.

Also note that ENTITY:MOUNTAIN is reserved for dwarves so you should change it to another name. There're a few mods with Duergars already by the way.
