Title: LCS Qs
Post by: DK on December 18, 2007, 02:03:00 pm
Hey Everybody!

I started playin LCS a few years ago, but got kind of bored fast, but I recently got back into it, and it rocks!! But there are still some things I cant figure out. And here it comes...

How can I scroll down on pages?
Pg up/down doesn't work. Neither does the brackets. Or the num pad, with lock on or off.

How Do I interrogate?
I've seen talk on the forum of an Interrogate skill and using drugs and stuff like that. All I get is how much I want to spend.

How do I make money?
All I've been doing so far is soliciting donations and taking loot. Any other ways?

Computers? Hackers?
I've seen talk od hackers and computers in your base. How do I go about doing this?

Can you actually find high ranking officials to kidnap? Where?

Is there any way of ending a siege without dieing or giving up and losing everything?

When Your skill is 23/1, what does the 1 mean?

Whats the advantage of renting apartments? And do the expensive ones do it better or something?

Alright i'll try and help

1.  If you have a non standard keyboard it may not work.  To change from page up/down to brackets you go into the init.txt file and change it.  I think this is classed as a bug but i'm not sure.

2.  The current released version is v3.11.3.  There is an alpha that was publically released on these forums for playtesting before it was released.  Only in the alpha is there any interogations or other new stuff thats been mentioned.  http://sourceforge.net/projects/lcsgame/  you can go there to get v3.11.3 or in one of the posts in this forum for the alpha. Make sure to get the latest one.

3.  For the newest version there are 4 legal and 4 illegal ways to make money all based on different skills.  Also my personal favorite way is to make the police really mad then have them raid wherever you keep ALL your liberals.  Arm all of your guys and you should rarely if ever get shot at in a raid while massacring the conservative swine and getting good guns and more importantly bodyarmor that sells for alot.

4.  In the alpha you can directly assign people to hack for either money or just hack attacks but i don't think its fully implemented yet.  In v3.11.3 anyone with a computer skill 2 or more will hack if set to liberal disobedience.

5.  You can't kidnap any political people yet but you can find CEO's.  For the most part anyone who you make a sleeper will help you behind the scenes.

6.  You can end a siege by killing a certain number of forces that are attacking your safe house.  I've gotten away with killing i think as few as 9 and had them retreat.

7.  23/1 The 23 indicates your total skill level and the 1 indicates your current weapon level.  When it turns white it means that a skill has increased in level.  That skill will also be white in the liberals status screen.

8.  Apartments give you a place to deposit liberals who in and of themselves don't tend to accumulate a lot of heat.  They can get raided but I think they have a built in heat removal system.  I'm not too sure about this because i just keep everyone in one place and kill the siege that occurs every 2 days.

Apartments tend to be less suspicious than abandoned warehouses. The classier (and more expensive) the neighborhood, the less likely the police will snoop around and discover your hideout. Keeping highly wanted people in one place for a long time will always lead to a raid, but having an unsuspicious hideout gives you more time.
