I noticed that when I steal a car then get pursued by police that I don't gain any driving skill for the pursuit. How then do I gain driving skill without it being taught?
-
Give the car to a driver, and have him drive from place to place. He'll gain some more driving skill.
-
Yes, but what about people with no driving skill?
-
they pick it up slowly overtime as you go from place to place. If you're worried they might get killed before getting a decent driving skill, just take em to places and dont fight or commit crimes. Alternatively, recruit a taxi cab driver or a police officer since they both start with good driving skills.
-
If your just killing time between elections, give whoever you are training a car and just go forth every day with them.
-
I think not getting driving skill during chases was a bug that I fixed, but I'll make a note to verify it.
-
Oh, I just noticed it. The reason I didn't see it before is because my leader has too many skills and driving was low enough to be truncated off the list. Something that would scroll through the skill pages would be nice :D

insert wistful sigh here

I just need a good idea of what to do to fix it. The only real problem is that the normal page changing keys are already doing stuff on that screen, they're tabbing between Liberals.
-
Urr, how about the arrow keys?

Movement.
I vouch for the Pageup and Pagedown keys.

RE driving practice
Maybe there should be a "practice driving" activity that yields the same result as driving to a site, but without requiring several keystrokes every day. That way you can set your DD to practice and forget about him for a few months.

You're not making your liberals walk around while you're looking at their detailed stats. I vote for the arrow keys.
-
I don't care what key it is, just put it in the game already.
-
For technical reasons it's going to be more of a pain in the neck than I anticipated. Urgh. Still planning to do it one way or another.

How about just allowing access to the full skill screen from the review page. It would list name juice and stats across the top and the rest would be dedicated to skills. To access it use shift+letter. So to get the normal profile of a liberal for lets say your founder you would press a. To get his full skill list you would press A. Paging through would be the same keys as it normally is.
