Companion can give you legendary stats, and remove the need for grinding. Weapons? No. Change your hand preference? Maybe, but you'd have to really know what you're doing.Hand status isn't used in Fortress mode.

Companion thus doesn't have its flags in the list.
Course, there ARE a whole lot of unidentified ones...
But you risk screwing the game over on the very slight possibility that one of those flags is handedness.
Why do you need to change your handedness, anyway?
Lefties and righties are exactly the same, except for your inventory/picking up weapons.
I know. But when I throw my sword away, I prefer my right hand being free. Besides, it's easier to visualize the fight scenes when my adventurer has the same handedness as me. (Well you could say I'm ambidextrous. But not in everything.) Like I said, pinching elven nipples with the left hand isn't as much fun. Try and visualize that combat scene. Throw your sword at the elf, grab her clothes off and pinch one of her nipples before slashing her head off.Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Strike the elf with your sword in the lower body for bonus points. ;)
