So as you can imagine, after beating the hard mode of Cave Story
Ohh, you mean the full ending? Yeah but its not really that hard...Hey, I braved hell for that ending! Don't take it away from me!
Then there is the matter of consoles allowing you to press every key at the same time, where modern keyboards only allow three inputs an once. When it comes to, say Super Mario World where you want to run, jump and hold an item at once things can get very aggravating.
I thought it was a hardware limitation? Possibly so that if a keyboard is being bashed crazy crap won't happen. Like the entire keyboard being preesd at the same time. Then there is the matter of consoles allowing you to press every key at the same time, where modern keyboards only allow three inputs an once. Does anybody know a way to fix this? I know it's a system thing, since if you press too many keys at once (and it's not just a total, it's also certain keys) the system speaker starts beeping. Surely there's a keyboard driver somewhere that'll read more keys at the same time.
I found really dark brown liquid that didn't smell or taste like anything. It was really strange.
you start to use it's controls for other things? I've just come off a Black & White binge and I found myself trying to scroll the forums clicking and pushing, then when I thought about I do that quite a lot, play a game excessively then try to use it's controls elsewhere. So anyone else do that? What do you mean you can't scroll the forums by clicking and pushing?
I don't get that from playing games, but I get it from programming. When I make a mistake I constantly use Ctrl+z to "undo".
It's gotten so bad that when I make a mistake in real life like spill some milk or spell something wrong on paper, my hand goes up for a split-second thinking that I can "Ctrl+z" the problem.
I remember when playing a game, my little sister was being stupid, and inputted a random level select code... that advanced me almost completely through the game :D(http://www.penny-arcade.com/images/2008/20081006.jpg)
I really dont understand much of the details about this, but I remember we had that little talk at school, back then. Actually this talk made me reconsider my choice of education; because half the guys in first semester were over this little argument, and one of my friends just sat down and if I remember that correctly he wrote a driver that registered all the keypresses. Took him a few minutes only, and I was still desperately trying to understand what people were saying.I thought it was a hardware limitation? But yes, I would love any driver that would allow for more keys. It would make PC games so much easier.
After playing Gears of War 2 for several days, I tried to play Call of Duty and was throwing grenades every time I wanted to reload, was reloading twice, constantly jumping next to low walls. It completely crippled my ability to play Call of Duty.

I once used ':D' so much while on the computer in conversations I said D instead of laughing. Took me a while to stop.I do that too kind of. I think in my mind a kind of puh sound or duh sound where I would put a =p or :D smiley in a conversation.
For two days after I played it I was rotating my mouse around on the Bay 12 Games forums, or just moving my hand in circles. It was really crazy.
I've been playing Dwarf Fortress and DoomRoguelike so much in the past couple weeks that, the other night, I dreamed in Ascii.
At first it wasn't so strange. I was on my bike [I don't own a bike], and decided to follow these people up on a mountain trail ride. First everything was normal. Then it was like a movie rendered in ascii characters. And then, by the time we got to the mountain, everyone was a :) with little 'o's in front of and behind them. We biked through a Mountain home, turned around, and came back. Freaking weird, man.
I was on my bike [I don't own a bike]???
Ummm, I don't think seeing everyone as ascii is your biggest problem:I was on my bike [I don't own a bike]???
Mind you I mostly play freeware and indie games due to a lack of a budget.
So as you can imagine, after beating the hard mode of Cave Story and then a year later playing Spelunky, my deaths in an already death-happy game rose due to stupid things like jumping instead of attacking or attacking instead of jumping.

what is this game you speak of?
I have had this at least twice recently. The most recent was because of the tabs in IE7 and Opera, which allow you to middle-click on them to close them. After some time I began trying to middle-click-close various other windows and tabs, including WinAmp and Photoshop on several occasions. I was surprised when it worked in Azureus.
The other was caused by Supreme Commander. Those GPG people weren't kidding when they said that after playing, you wouldn't return to any game without strategic zoom. After a month or so of playing it, I've been trying to zoom away in pretty much every game I met, always being disappointed by the imposed limits.
Ah yes one other thing I once tried to the the Yoshi hover jump in real life without realizing it. xD

Heh. Sigged.
On one occasion several years ago after playing excessively on various fps's where the character opens doors by moving their hand toward them rather than actually using the handle, I got somewhat annoyed trying to open the doors on the way home after a night out when they wouldn't open when I used them, mimicking the actions from the game.
Recently I was playing the DF MU*, and kept hitting t before typing in chat. today I keep almost prefixing chat with "say".
Yep. Not sure if it's still being developed, but the MUD itself is still up. The last post was on the 12. The first post after the link has the connection info.Recently I was playing the DF MU*, and kept hitting t before typing in chat. today I keep almost prefixing chat with "say".
Wait, there's a DF MU*? That's the first time I ever heard of it. Where?
I have yet tried to use game controls in real life, but once after watching too much Keroro gunsou I ended up ending a sentence with "De arimasu". That was embarrassing.
I was playing Mirror's edge after a long run at Prince of Persia. You can guess what the results were.

Much splattering.
After I played DF for long enough I kept trying to use the spacebar to pause games. It didn't work so well on Warcraft III when I hit the spacebar and walked away to go to the bathroom, only to return and find the enemy busy leveling my main base.I've never tried to pause something else with the spacebar, but i hacve tried to cancel with it... fortunately the results so far are me thinking "stupid, it's not DF".

This hindsight on the part of Microsoft

wat
I used to play action quake2 all the time when I was at University in the late 90's.
In fact so much that I took the habit of not walking past open windows without something in the back of my mind saying someone coud loose a round through my skull at any moment, should I dwell too long.
Moving from Halo to another FPS was annoying, because I kept trying to melee attack the enemies. Now I don't remember what FPS it was but I do remember that the Halo melee button was the same as the grenade button. This resulted in a few team kills. Oops.
