Title: Potted Plants

I was raking leaves this morning, thinking about how to better pimp out my alter-ego's residence in my current fort. We've got terrariums, but they're only good for fish and kittens. What I really want is some bonsai plants, some rare saplings growing in clay or stone or metal pots (the pots with decorations and glazes of course) to put in my dwarve's rooms. They should get calming thoughts from looking at (or watering) an owned plant. It would be great if the plants could bear fruit (a strawberry or plump helmet in a pot) too.

Psh, what are you, some kind of elf? The only thing a dwarf would put in a pot is a rock garden!

Seriously though, that would be fun. It could be useful for growing certain plants that aren't native to the area, too.

I like it, but wouldn't outside plants need light to grow underground?

Don't you people know? Dwarves like to keep pots of a little known relative to Plump Helmets next to their beds. Potted "Puny Helmets". To dwarves, they're sort of like grapes; for a snack they can just reach over and pluck one off the plant.

Actually, I can see dwarves keeping plants, but they would be of the type they were familiar with. For example; glowing mushrooms make good room lights. Also, any plants symbolic of strength or wealth (whatever those might be).

I'm all for it. The more personalized each dwarf's belongings are, the better, in my opinion. A dwarf with "likes nature" in their personality profile should be expected to have some plants in their room.
