I would like some assistance and a price projection. I am looking to replace my RAM, CPU and GPU. Thus, they are irrelevant. They are outdated. Rest assured. What I need is a price projection and recommendation. Currently I've seen some 4GB RAM setups (2 sticks, 2GB each.) going for $80~.
What I require are links to products with shipping to Israel. I wouldn't bother with Israeli retailers since they are generally overpriced anyway.
This is what I need:
4GB of RAM.
At least an nVidia 9800GT with 1GB of VRAM. Preferably more.
A 2.2GHz per core dual core minimum. Prefer quad core with more power. Will settle for dual core if price stresses me.
My motherboard might need replacing. CPU-Z (Link to download CPU-Z (http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php)) says the following:

I'm not sure what that means. I'm not much of a computer expert when it comes to hardware. But I know enough to do basic repairs and not break anything. Heh.
I'm looking to spend between 2000-3000 NIS. No more. (That's 480 - 725 dollars. Approximately.)
I'm looking to get Windows 7 if possible. Can I get price projections on that too? Especially a way not to pay a fuckload of money, but still keep it legal.
I don't want to replace this motherboard unless I have to. I'm not looking for an SLI setup. I don't want an ATI card. I don't want an AMD CPU. Trying to convince me otherwise will just derail this topic. But I'm open to suggestions via PM.
I'm sure there's a computer guru among us.
Please, try and keep it on the low end of the price range. For obvious reasons.

Good luck. You're going to get railed on price working within some of those specs, but at least the Motherboard is still solid. However, unless you play more DF than anything, I can't recommend paying more for a processor than your graphics card.Heres your CPU list. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=Property&Subcategory=343&Description=&Type=&N=2010340343+50001157+1051707842+1263016683&srchInDesc=&MinPrice=&MaxPrice=&Manufactory=1157&PropertyCodeValue=507%3A22265&PropertyCodeValue=507%3A22264&PropertyCodeValue=507%3A27216&PropertyCodeValue=517%3A7842) For duals, you can get a GOOD one for 120-130. For quads, you're looking at around 190+ for something that can OC.
Memory is alot cheaper than you think. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010170147%201052108080%201052315794%201052420643&name=DDR2%201066%20%28PC2%208500%29) Thats pretty much what you'll need there.
1GB 9800's are rediculously expensive. Might as well go for the GTS250(9800GTX+). Heres your list. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=Property&Subcategory=48&Description=&Type=&N=2010380048&srchInDesc=&MinPrice=&MaxPrice=&PropertyCodeValue=3055%3A20548&PropertyCodeValue=679%3A42536&PropertyCodeValue=679%3A42261&PropertyCodeValue=679%3A46813&PropertyCodeValue=679%3A40781&PropertyCodeValue=679%3A47241&PropertyCodeValue=679%3A40782&PropertyCodeValue=679%3A46202&PropertyCodeValue=679%3A46192&PropertyCodeValue=683%3A20729&PropertyCodeValue=683%3A46196&PropertyCodeValue=683%3A24927&PropertyCodeValue=683%3A37012&PropertyCodeValue=683%3A40784) Thats 700, 800, 1gig, and above cards. That GTX260 for 160 after rebat is pretty good.
Also, are you SURE your PSU can handle everything?

IIRC, 600 watt. 400 at least.
Like I said. I'm not looking for those specs specifically. Something around them. But thanks.
I heard Windows 7 will come with DirectX11 or something. I'll probably need to make sure my cards are compatible with that.
Edit: I have no idea if my motherboard supports PCI-E 2. Which all of these cards seem to use now.
