Title: Metal Max series. (Metal Saga too)

So anyway, one day I was bored and I read about the game Metal Max returns on the Aeon Genesis site. And god damn is it fun and addicting, post apocalyptic with tanks and weird enemy's all over. How is this game so obscure? Anyway, anyone else familiar with this series? Mostly just asking if anyone has played the PS2 sequel (Metal saga) so Ill know if it's worth it.

I played Metal Max Returns for a bit. It's a shame it was never released in english, cuz it's an awesome game. I invested like 30 hours in the game, but mixed up my savestate's and ended up losing my save. :(

I think I saw Metal Max Saga around, but never bought it because I kept thinking it was Metal Slug. I wish I had at least read the back now, instead of judging the game on its cover art alone.

Reading this post made me download that English translation patch and now I'm playing Metal Max Returns on Zsnes.

I had always wanted to play it with the patch but didn't know how to remove header from the ROM. A lil' bit of googling did the trick.  :D

There was this 3d game that came out a while ago that was a lot like that screenshot you shown me.

But it was a horrible game. Was that one of the Metal Max games?

Ps. I am not insulting the series.  Even my Favorite series of Monster Rancher has had multiple reject titles (Monster Rancher 3, Hop-a-bout, and IMO Online)

Ah, was it called Metal Saga? If so that was it, but there were a lot of people that didn't like it so I doubt anyone would blame you. Besides, since when were opinions something to get mad about? This is Bay12 not Something Awful. :P

Keiseth's the guy with the mirror avatar. He's a pretty nice guy. You should PM him and ask about the game.

Also, you can get an emulated DS version in Japanese, I think.

The DS version is actually a completely different game, and well... I don't know Japanese. Also I hear it's stylus only so that may be odd, I guess ill grab it anyway for when someone translates it.

Also, I bet toady is gonna kill me for this but... Here is MMR (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=SDLUEUZC) and the translation, just so more people can play it. Also in other news Metal saga is under $10 at Amazon, so I might get it there.

Now I just wish they would finish translating Metal Max 2. :P

I don't know what I want translated more, Metal Max 2 or Romancing Saga 2! Do you know if there's anybody actually translating Metal Max 2?

It's listed at Aeon Genesis as being 20% complete, so I assume it's them. I also hope Atlus or someone picks up the DS one, that would be awesome.

Also I just finished up MMR, now I feel sad. I want more bountys to hunt! XD I guess I better find a way to get Metal Saga then.
