Title: [40d11] Dwarf's wounds healed when he changed profession
Post by: Zancor Mezoran on June 29, 2009, 07:21:21 pm
One of my conscripted immigrants got in a fight with a batman on his way to my fortress and, during the fighting, broke his left wrist.  He was a peasant and therefore had no skills before I conscripted him, so when he managed to reach novice wrestler during the fight, it said "Urist McRecruit has become a Wrestler."  And then he no longer had a broken wrist.  So I thought, "Wtf?!? Awesome!" and came here.    ;D

You'll see it happen with broken hips, shoulders, elbows, ankles, livers, and kidneys, too. Anything marked [INTERNAL] seems to heal when the thing it's contained within heals up.

Except hearts, lungs, spines, brains. Those are special cases.

Due to an oddity of the current healing system, occasionally wounds will heal very quickly, especially if they occur right before a season change.  It's probably not related to the change of profession.

The next version has a totally reworked wounding/healing system, so this bug should be obsolete.
