With ToadyOne's help, I have created a kobold name generator in Ruby and C++, and a goblin name generator in both as well, and an elf name generator in C++.
You will need to install Ruby to run the Ruby versions and see the source code:
Ruby Download (http://ftp://ftp.ruby-lang.org/pub/ruby/1.9/ruby-1.9.1-p129.tar.gz)
Kobold Name Generator (http://www.2shared.com/file/8200884/9468cfe2/kobold.html)
Kobold Name Generator .EXE (http://www.2shared.com/file/8191699/ca64d8ae/KNG.html)
Goblin Name Generator (http://www.2shared.com/file/8190148/b53ee795/GoblinNameGenerator.html)
Goblin Name Generator .EXE (http://www.2shared.com/file/8191155/6a28cd0c/GNGexe.html)
Elf Name Generator .EXE (http://www.2shared.com/file/8250349/82d99cc2/Release.html)
In the command prompt, go to the file's folder and type:
> ruby kobold.rb
-
Hmm...
Can someone test this for me? (can't install ruby)
-
Why can't you install Ruby?
-
I really expected this thread would just contain a link to a random letter generator.
-
Nope! I am a classy programmer and make only the best for you~

Goblin Name Generator! (http://www.2shared.com/file/8190148/b53ee795/GoblinNameGenerator.html)

I can't download the kobold one. :(
-
Works for me.
-
Works great. The exe downloaded fine, but the page gave me popups disease.
-
Yeah, 2shared is a bitch like that. Uploading is smooth, easy, simple, nearly ad-free, but downloading is full of shit.
-
Damn it, don't tell me no one can use these. I worked hard on 'em.
-
It's the thought that counts.
-
The links aren't working for me, says "The file link that you requested is not valid. Please contact link publisher or try to make a search."
Sound awesome though, maybe try 4shared instead? It's what I've been using for my programming stuff, and it'll stay there forever if you log in once a month or something like that, and I believe you get e-mail warnings a few days before.
-
Can you upload these somewhere else?
-
Nope. Unless someone has the files they are gone forever. Couldn't find 'em.
-
There are more people into this sort of thing besides Jackrabbit?
I want in.
