Anyone got a seed with one? It'd be much appreciated.

According to Google, Taiga is "A moist subarctic coniferous forest that begins where the tundra ends and is dominated by spruces and firs."

>_>; I was hoping that was just a foreign word for one of the easily-defined/pre-existing bits of the game and that I was just missing something, but I guess not...

I'm not sure about the pits and the chasm, but AIR there is at least one place in seed 0 (generating in v0.27.169.33a) near the lower-right corner that seems to qualify as far as moist subarctic forests and magma are concerned (I'm not certain how close the water is to the magma, but there must be some otherwise there wouldn't be trees).

Taiga is already a biome in the game. It's just before tundra.

Most of Russia, Canada, Alaska, Finland, and Sweden are Taiga.

That would be a fun map. I'm playing a basic taiga map right now, and the water never unfreezes, so I can make Igloos.

Kind of.
