OK, after stumbling upon some quotes from The 10th Kingdom here, I googled it and saw that it seems like a decent mini-series. So, I rented the whole thing and I loved it. It kinda reminded me of The Princess Bride, which I also loved. The dialogues in both are especially awesome.
Anyway, I'm obviously quite ignorant of some rather good stuff, so could you guys recommend me more films or series along these lines?
