Title: How do I find out my world's seed/gen information?

As the topic says. I tried searching for the answer, but such things can only take you so far when you don't know what to actually look for.

...that doesn't tell me anything useful. The only thing that txt contains is information on the different sizes of world gen (large through pocket).

Go into your fort (I'm assuming you have a fort), hit ESC to enter the menu, scroll down to "export local image," then hit enter. This will take you into a menu where all of the z-levels on your map are listed; deselect all but one. Hit... I think e is the default hotkey; I don't remember what the option is called. Finally, go into your dwarf fortress folder and there will be a text file with your fort's worldgen information, including seeds.
