Title: Avatars Avatars Avatars! Yowza yowza!

Sorry for the annoying title.

Anyway, I've been tinkering with my art today, and changed my avatar a few times, and I've noticed that drawing something specifically for an avatar is actually quite different to drawing a full-scale picter.

Thus, I propose that the various engravers here on the forum engage in an avatar drawing contest!

If some people show interest I'll come up with some logistics, but if this happens, the winner will be decided by a vote.

And to get the ball rollin' an avatar by me.

This one is of a character of mine. Essentially Rorsarch on steroids. He's called "The Truth" because he doesn't have a name.

This is alot more response than I anticipated  ;D

Good stuff so far but lets get more people (Dwarves?) on this here bandwagon! Yeeeehaw!

Also I might not draw anymore, just a heads up. I will however, in my adamantine like awesomeness, officiate, whether I draw or not.

Thanks, they're only my.. let's see... in order, eighth, seventh, third, and second attempts, so I sacen't got much practice.

But how about we turn this into a general avatar thread? Where people can post avatars they've made, and less talented people can make requests?

That would be awesome (providing it's okay with the OP of course.) I just got a nice juicy paycheck, so I should be able to afford a drawing tablet. I'm looking at the "Bamboo Fun," anyone here have anything to say about it?

That was going to be my second guess. I usually think most people use Flash to draw due to how user-friendly it is for freeform vector drawing.

Personally, I like how user-friendly it is for doing things freehand, and I can animate immediately after. Actually, I made a rather functional mech (animation at least) in my animation class. It's just much less of a pain in some cases to get things done.
