For my latest Crime Squad, wich is lead by Ronald McDonald, I needed some liberals capable of making disguises. So I freed a sweatshop worker from the forces of evil, but on the way to the savehouse we were followed and they got him. That was when I first looked at his name:

Yeah, at least, sort of -- it's hard to map, since the issues are very different, and even those that are recognized, the scale is in a very different place. Some of their views were relatively Conservative by modern standards, but Progressive at the time. They haven't changed as much as the Democrats have, and society has changed too. Originally, the Republicans were the northern, more urbanized, anti-slavery party, that couldn't penetrate the South.
