Title: How do i own a car in LCS?
Post by: Socialist Threat on March 21, 2010, 06:09:52 am: I play LCS 4.01.4 and every time when i'm trying to steal or buy a car it just doesn't assign to anyone in my squad. Is it some sort of a bug?

Cars have to be manually assigned using the "V" key on the main menu (the one where you can [W]ait).

Post by: soup_alex on March 21, 2010, 05:32:35 pm: It took me a long time to notice it also; for a while I thought that in order to use a car I'd have to find someone with the Driving skill (not that it's usually a good idea to put someone in the driver's seat who doesn't know how to drive :o )

...IIRC, vehicles and related game mechanics (i.e. chases) are due to be fiddled with in the next version or so.

Indeed; it's best to just drive around TO missions (and back if it doesn't turn dangerous). If you have a good agility score, just bail out and run; it's relatively easy to get more cars.

"Relatively"? Anyone with security 4-5 or more can reliably steal sports cars. Other cars are even easier. It's very easy to get more cars!

Also, what happens to LCS who stay at the Bunker? Wonder how they get to town...

This is Really Simple (tm). The bunker has separate entrance and exit. You enter in the outskirts, you exit through a phone booth that's right next to the Court House.
