So I found this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GIMgD_gShU (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GIMgD_gShU)
The song seems to be called Bad Apple or something like that, and it blew my mind.
I have this warm electric feeling crawling down my spine when I listen to it.
More often than not do I find myself mesmerised by a certain song, and getting bored and moving over to another.
So maybe... the rest of tohou music is like this?
Or maybe you also get "warm fuzzy feelings" when listening to music?

To me, all Touhou music is wonderful.
Just look through here everyone. (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/CrowningMusic/TouhouProject)

I used to like this kind of shit back when i was a weeaboo but ive matured since then.
-
Not that the music is objectively bad, but it's cutesy japanese girls singing over a eurobeat straight from the early ninties that make anyone who has spent time in the electronic dance music scene cringe. :/
-
A lot of the music is ear worm material. I'd really wish you hadn't posted it, I'm probably going to spend the night trying to get it out of my head.
-
Haha, i never get songs stuck in my head.
No horrifying image's either.

I first heard of this when I saw this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sib2L6A6xgw), which I found more fitting for the tune. I just love the art direction of it all. It was even cooler during April Fool's Day on Youtube when it was all done in ASCII characters.
Why did that feature have to be a 1-day thing? >:(

Japanese Pop Music?
I didn't know people listened to it un-ironically.. I guess you learn something new every day.

The zen of music is when you reach the place where your groove can incorporate everything. One day, young grasshopper, you will see where this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1Qq3RA19G4), this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q79VKiulRcI), and this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0Fc9lvRMy0) become one with this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyC5eWJhCr8).

This seems pretty much exactly like any other anime song I've ever heard.
Now The Flashbulb, there's some good music.

Ah, but I find my own salvation in being an absolute fascist when it comes to art. Having a strong sense of musical and visual taste in things makes me really appreciate them more. If I find the music and images from the OPs video wretched, I shall not listen to them. My snobbery shall only make my next The Strokes song sound that much better. I speak of course only for myself, and am not trying to imply that someone who listens to music I don't enjoy is a worse person than myself.

Fair enough. We'll stand at opposite sides of the musical appreciation spectrum, and prove that people need not fight about their music tastes.

Quite so, good chap. Lovely having a conversation about opinion that doesn't involve yelling or name calling. :D

A true musical snob would do nothing but listen to classical and jerk off onto a bust of Beethoven. You sir are an impostor and a ragamuffin.
HAVE AT YOU!

Tool used to give me wonderous feelings, though I'm about numb to it now. Quarter notes on a bass drum without a symbol crash in between do it for me

I dunno, that music never really appealed to me. Perhaps the techno aspect of it, perhaps the crazy nonsensical nature just wasn't the same type of crazy nonsense that I like. There were perhaps one or two songs I was alright with, but for the most part they were forgettable and in some cases annoying. Granted this is personal preference here, as I have no place in the field of music critique.
Now when it comes to music that mesmerized me and sends shivers down my spine there is only one song that takes top place. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wV0wPBYDQ6Y) Then there is the one song that I always need to rock out to. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6osTH_66eUc)
I suppose there needs to be a major amount of buildup to a great crashing orchestral climax.

Not all Touhou music is quite at Bad Apple's level of quality (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfUe2eckPFQ).
As for j-pop in general? I started listening to it in a purely ironic fashion. 100+ hours later and all of a sudden, most of it is actually pretty okay. Either my standards have lowered immensely or my tastes have changed, I guess.
