Just out of interest, what kinds of music are people into out there?
Personally, I'm a fan of Power Metal and Melodeath. Bands like Dragonland, Nightrage, Norther, and Hammerfall.
Oh, and... TURISAS ROCKS!
-
Ska, Trance, House, Drum n' Bass, Classic Rock, Heavy Metal, Reggae, and a few more genres. My favorite band is The Planet Smashers, a ska band. I Right now, I'm listening to Keasbey Nights by The Streetlight Manifesto, another ska band. I'll basically listen to anything with a good beat.

Got to love pink floyd.
I don't care about the fact that they're older than me. I still love their music. Like the fact I like Status Quo a bit too...

Metal and rock... But I enjoy bits of other genres as well.
I enjoy Dying Fetus, Led Zep, Opeth, RATM.. So a mixture really. I also like OutKast, Jay-Z is good, I like dubstep and some other dance.
Really, I enjoy prog stuff. Prog rock like Porcupine Tree is good and as for the most common thing I listen to, it probably has to be prog metal/death metal. I'm a metalhead, so if you have any questions on the kind of things I like, ask away, but if you're not into it, most of the bands will probably be new to you ;)

That being said, I'm also a metalhead, but you probably don't know some of the bands I listen to. Like Heidevolk, Alestorm, Turisas or Dragonland.

Status Quo for the win. :D I learned to play the guitar to "In My Chair" a while ago. Also, Steppenwolf, Queen, The Monkees, and The Guess Who.

"Alestorm" sounds like a succession fort name.

Yes. It probably has been at some stage.
Alestorm also happens to be the name of a 'true scottish pirate metal' band from Perth, Scotland.

I like audio illusions myself.
That and the Conet Project, the flash bulb, the american dollar, the mountain goats, the eels, this one Internet station called "music for the space traveler", king missile, etc.

I've seen Turisas :D But yeah, even if you are a metalhead, there is so much that it doesn't mean you'll know every metal band out there.

I like music that makes a girl want to take her pants off :P
-
There is a subtle difference between music that gets a girl to take her pants off, and music that tells girls to take their pants off.

Example:
Barry White is music that gets girl to take their pants off, it however it not a music thats that girls should take there pants off.
