Welcome to Trollbane Isle, home to four mighty factions.

Trollbane: Descendants of the criminal exile Darius Trollbane, who fled to this island unknown centuries ago. They live secluded in the mountains and specialize in diplomacy and wizardy.

Sett: Mighty woodsmen who are also descendants of the original crew of Trollbane's ship who chose to live in the woods instead of the mountain. They specialize in foraging and medicine.

Valder: Numerous nomadic tribesmen, the original inhabitants of the island. They specialize in hunting and raiding.

Treskan: A massive and industrious country from oversees that has decided to settle on Trollbane isle for it's vast mineral deposits. They specialize in everything.

Now then, commander. Which do you hail from?

Oh, good. So it's a conquest game after all. I thought for a moment it might be a suggestion game.
Phantom, I think we should deliberate over PMs, and come up with a strategy we both like - after we see how the game works, of course.

When a faction has three players, it will cap out.
If not all factions have three players by wednesday night, we will start without the other players (they aren't needed, nor will it be detrimental for anything besides strategy)
Rules will be explained after all factions are started up.

He's really good. Wait, is he? I don't think I've actually played him in games before. But he made Planetfall, so he must be good. And... something else happened. I think he was in Age of Restoration? It seems so long ago already.
Anyway. This will be a challenge, to say the least.

In case someone wants to run with the concept, you can divvy the 4 teams of 3 into 3 teams of 4 and go with the rules for the other forum game I tried to make months ago.

I feel like it'd be a fun game, but, as criptfiend just posted, my other RP is back on due to shitty life circumstances.

The basic outline is this:
There will be eight players. Two monarchs, two generals, two advisors and two ambassadors. (If I get enough interest, I will bump it up to 12 players, with 1 more of each class)

There will be four people to a civilization, one of each class. Each civilization will be competing for resources and survival against the other and neutral random events that will be decided by yours truly.
To conquer another civilization, you have to establish your dominance by reaching 50 civilzation points. Civ points can be earned in various ways, but more on that later.

Here is a basic turn layout for each class:

If you would like to sign up, it's first-come-first serve. Just state which class you want to be. Once all spots are filled, each king will decide which historic culture their civilization most resembles (i.e. Ancient Egypt, Ancient Rome, The Vikings, etc etc etc) and a name, then we will get rolling (harr harr I've made a pun.)

Hey, why does this need a GM? It would seem that as long as we appoint a Grand Roller, and a specified order of rolling (This country's General goes first, then its Monarch, etc.), then all the GR has to do is go to random.org every once in a while, roll up tons of numbers with the Integer Generator, copy-paste the numbers here, and we'll figure out the math ourselves.

Yes. But there's a problem. We can either have a set order (this guy on this team rolls first, this guy on that team rolls second, etc.), in which case it would be possible for the roller to rig the rolls (make whoever he liked have higher rolls). Or, we could not have a set order, but whoever determines the order would be able to rig the order (if I determine the order, and the first few rolls are all 80+, then I just have my favorite team go first).

So, I will suggest a solution; cryptography. More specifically, we'll run the numbers through a cipher. Assuming we have a turn every day, we will add the cent value of the NASDAQ opening value for that day (http://finance.yahoo.com/q;_ylt=AqMZvS7D3KjPp4aN4CNDINq7YWsA;_ylu=X3oDMTE5cnE2OWVuBHBvcwMzBHNlYwNtYXJrZXRTdW1tYXJ5SW5kaWNlcwRzbGsDbmFzZGFx?s=^IXIC) to the rolls. Cript will have to submit his rolls a day after the actual turn is done. That way, he can't rig the rolls. Not that I don't trust him, but I think it's more preferable this way.

Because you might, for example, give your favorite team rolls of 90+, but then the next day the value is 3857.17, and they end up getting rolls of 10-20. You cannot give someone a "good" or "bad" roll; every number has an equal chance of becoming any other number with the addition of a random 00-99 number,
