Title: Child cancels sleep: Caged
Post by: BishopX on February 22, 2008, 12:16:00 pm
one of my two children just randomly disappeared. I got a work cancellation message, and now I can't find the child anywhere. He doesn't appear to be on the unit list (either as a dwarf, a wild animal or a hostile) and none of the cages in my stock screen says "child cage".

If it matters this coincided with the arrival of the humans.

Update, it was a goblin snatcher, still the message was odd.

You'd prefer "bagged"?  Or a custom "The child X is being snatched!"  Or maybe just no message at all?

I think there should be no message at all.  You are not really supposed to know that there is a snatcher in your fort until someone spots him.  Of course, the message doesn't really tell you anything because you still don't know where the snatcher is unless you know where the child was sleeping.
