Title: Miners Remove Designations

Miners seem to be removing their designations with the new diagonal movement.

For example I had this problem.

^That is what I intended the turn to look like^

However while I was digging at the point shown below.

#.#

While the ? was being dug, a second miner tried to dig the !. However I was then given an error "Miner cancels mine: unable to find path"

The designation on the ! space was then removed.

Sounds like a typical problem we're going to get with the buggy pathfinding code and the new features. It's gonna take a little while for Toady to hammer the pathfinding code into shape to get it to do what he intends it to. As it stands now, dwarves are getting scared off the job by creatures 5 z-levels above or below them, along with this kind of thing happening.

Just give it time. This new release is about as stable as Dennis Rodman after a night of hard drinking. Bugfixes will be released on a nice regular schedule, so have no fear.
