Title: Question regarding other race's civilians
Post by: sphr on December 23, 2007, 09:11:00 am
Asking this coz I am working on some non-dwarf race's gfx tiles and really wonder if there is a need for tiles for the civilian professions.

Wonder if in adventure mode (I haven't tried it), do we actually see other race's civilians with professions like in dwarf mode? (e.g. miner, stoneworker, grower, hunter etc etc) Or are they mainly military jobs?  Or is it possible in dwarf mode? (e.g. crazy, but create a new settlement beside an existing goblin village?)

Also, if the situation is different for different races (e.g. maybe humans have some professions, but goblins are all military?), can anybody be kind enough to share this knowledge?  Particularly interested in goblins atm.

regards.

I haven't played adv mode a lot, but I have some of the different types of units civs have.

There are- Drunks, Mayors, Guards, children, civilians (I think it would just say dwarf or human, not sure if they're called peasants in adv mode), and military units.

I think in goblin places it's mostly military with some civilians.

Easiest way to double check would be to embark on one from dwarf mode and check the unit list  :)
