Title: iPod Touch problem
Post by: Singularity-SRX on January 11, 2011, 08:39:36 am
So I got my ipod touch mid-to-early last year, it's a 3rd gen, and for some reason it won't charge while my laptop is in sleep mode.
It seems that ever since I upgraded to OS4.2 it won't do this.

I checked support.apple, and they said this wasn't supposed to happen in the first place.

So this leads to another question, wtf it going on with my ipod?

Thanks in advance guys :D

Not much, it was probably just a bug causing it to display the charging screen when you plug it into something. My iPhone does the same when I plug it into a computer that's off.

No, it was definitely charging. If I had my laptop in sleep mode with my ipod plugged it, I could play ganes like modern combat 2 for hours on the highest brightness.

sleep is probably a power-save mode, considering it's a laptop.

which generally means cutting power to the usb ports... did you recently update something on the laptop?

No, although I DID update my ipod to 4.2 . It's charging in sleep mode now, so I think the problem fixed itself  :-\

Thanks for the help anyway guys :D
