Title: Screen Resolution
Post by: The Scout on February 06, 2011, 03:49:22 pm
When I used to change the resolution on my Vista computer, it made the screen wider and everything smaller. On this damned XP one, it keep everything the same size and makes me scroll to see the entire screen. Any fixes?

Lol, it has 640 x 480, 720 x 480, 1152 x 658, 1280 x 720, and 1776 x 1000, which I have to use the last one. Everything is so small. :P

Try increasing the size of everything.
Yes, interestingly enough, you can have a high screen resolution.. Then make things bigger.
I think it's called DPI or something, and should be in the advanced settings of the standard Windows display settings. I dunno, ATI may have it's own settings for it.

Ati tools should be able to let you run custom resolutions. i did it with my dad's x1650.

On XP: Control Panel -> Display -> Settings tab -> Advanced -> Change DPI dropdown to a more acceptable level.

Otherwise, play with the Accessibility settings. There's a tab in there called Display that should allow you to configure it to a bigger size (or at least, more easily visible).
