Title: Me Playing Morrowind AKA I drew a comic strip
Post by: Jack_Bread on February 16, 2011, 12:16:49 pm
I drew a comic strip based on Morrowind. I may create more. No promises.
New ones reserve the right to be not Morrowind related.
Enjoy!  ;D
Spoiler: Morrowind (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Minecraft (click to show/hide)
I just used the line tool on all the panels except the first because I forgot to trace it in pen when I was done.

EDIT: Damn... I realized I typed "Skoom" instead of "Skooma." :\

I always thaught that was a bit wonky, but what can you do, if the vendor checked the surroundings for skooma or moonsugar you'd never get to trade...also I never carried skooma, but damn was moonsugar glitchy with high enough alchemy, and enough of it, "WWWEEEEEE!!!!!!", *dies from running off a mountain*, that and selling armor to vendors equips it on them, I went and dressed every vendor in mournhold guard armor, money, FTW I had so much money that it ran off the edges when I tried to see how much I had! I love Morrowind, I over played that game so hard, I know by heart all the cheats, item locations, closest vendor location for just about anywhere, and who are max lvl trainers, I even created some very poor quality mods for them.

Love your comic.

Thanks!
I'm working on the second one. It takes a while to line the panels.

I forgot to put the text in the 4th panel, but ah well.

Also, here's the character I used in these two comics.
Spoiler: Tv'linas (click to show/hide)

Next comic will probably be Daggerfall related.

I'm suddenly reminded of that horribly failed armor mod, and that very buggy dwelmer outpost my brother modded...as well as his scaring attempts at redoing it in oblivion.

I hated missing every swing...where it should have hit, but it reminds me of playing a heavily cheated game and one shotting lorkhan's heart by mistake, and the reality warping at the end of oblivion related to it.

Heh, I made a Morrowind mod (http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=37804.msg617803#msg617803) once. Most of the stuff didn't work but it DID have some cool stuff. Bluh, I meant to find a screenie of the Cacame mural in-game, but I couldn't find one.

Reminds me of enchanting pants in morrowind. Since items can only hold so much magic, I wound enchant pants with things like cast fireball.

Also, in oblivion I enchanted a brocade (fancy shirt) with a permanent fire on self. You put it on and it'd be on fire. I used it to train my healing skill.

I'd normally enchant pants with feather...but fireballs...>.> sounds like casting it would be something you will get shunned for in public.

Wait, shopkeepers in Morowind usually equip the armor you sell to them, no? I feel a case of !!science!! here...

Dont bother, they do use enchanted stuff...that you sell them.

That's no reason not to try and get a shopkeeper to set himself on fire ;)

Its a well known way to get shopkeepers to kill themselves with no downside, sell them a equipable item with a constant damage effect and wait till they die, then take their stuff.

That gives me an idea for my next play through.
I'm going to make items that constantly do fire damage and heal,
so my character is permanently on fire
as he stalks the skies with high levitate,
and takes your possessions with high telekinesis,
and he uses full reflect to be invincible.

Morrowind never fails to cater to my egotistical tendencies.

Dont forget full sanctuary, never tool around in a power char unless you are sure you will never die...just make sure if your going to use the soultrap method (mostly cheap and mostly permenant(damn werewolf tranformations)) make it an enchanted its much faster then the luck/magic way...also never put levitate as such or you'll have to find beds to do basic sleeping, I suggest exquisite ring and wingedtwilight soul.

I know from experience...

Uh, are you suggesting that I will cheat?

There are legitimate ways to get all of that gear.

I will be save-scumming though.

New ones reserve the right to be not Morrowind related.
I am invoking this right to draw a Minecraft comic. Enjoy! :D

I'm going to reupload it as a PNG in a second.
EDIT: There.
